From the Desk of Steve Shultz:
People are in need to hope...and that's why we will always bring you the most hopeful and prophetic words of exhortation on the Elijah List.
Are you in need of hope or dealing with some discouragement? Just read this by Nate Johnston:
I believe God is breaking past cycles of discouragement in your life that has debilitated you and affected your hope-gauge. Maybe you have enough hope to believe that God can do amazing things for others but not for you. Maybe you can see some good taking place but fear it won't last long... The goodness of God is the marker of this year, and if you haven't seen it yet, it just means it's coming!
The year isn't half way done yet...and there is so much to look forward to...so put your "hope-gauge" on!
Please forward this word to your friends! Encourage them to subscribe to the Elijah List right here: http://elijahlist.com/subscribe.

The Elijah List & Breaking Christian News
I heard the Lord say, "There is Grace upon Grace for the in-between places."
When we are in our mountain top moments it can be effortless to have joy and fulfillment and be in a great state of mind, but what happens when we are in the process or the path from our last peak to the next?
If our security is dependent on our current surroundings we will be tied to the ebbs and flows of life, but I believe the Lord is calling us into security in the season to make sure we are stable and fixed in Him.
Over the years my wife and I struggled with the seemingly last expanse between what God had spoken over our lives, and the conflicting reality we were confronted with daily. We started seeing "555" everywhere we went and knew the Lord was making a declaration over us, "You have GRACE upon GRACE in these season." It became our encouragement to keep pressing onwards.
"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus" Ephesians 2:6
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" Psalm 91:1-2
"Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people, both now and forevermore" Psalm 125:1-2
We began to speak these Scriptures out over our lives and declare where we were going, that we were bursting past discouragement, disappointment, and that we would see our promise come to pass just as He had promised!
It revolutionized our prayer life and started to affect our perspectives of what we were seeing. Somehow natural circumstances held less weight or influence because TRUTH had embedded itself in us, slowly but surely.
Your mouth is powerful and I believe it is the vehicle that will move you forward. Just as the world was created with words, so is your mouth anointed and packed with creative power to MOVE you into your promise.
I love the story of the ten spies in Number 13, and how they came back from the Promised Land each with their own report, and all except Joshua and Caleb had negative things to say. But something was different about these two men that seemed to influence their perspective.
While the others saw giants, these two men of God saw opportunity!
Hold Onto Your Promise and Speak to Your Feet!
I believe God is breaking past cycles of discouragement in your life that has debilitated you and affected your hope-gauge. Maybe you have enough hope to believe that God can do amazing things for others but not for you. Maybe you can see some good taking place but fear it won't last long.
The goodness of God is the marker of this year, and if you haven't seen it yet, it just means it's coming! Get into hope today, get your hopes up. As you seek Him in your valley He is healing your eyes of hardship and giving you sight to see the horizon again.
"Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." Psalm 23:6
You will see the lavish abundance over your life this year that will overhaul your heart and cause you to come up higher. Position your heart in hope today even if your feet are still moving. Hold onto your promise and SPEAK to your feet, "I am moving ahead despite what I see, and the blessing of the Lord is over me!"

Through his ministry "Everyday Revivalists," he teaches on intimacy and hearing God's voice which was birthed from a hunger for authentic, real, and powerful relationship with Jesus. Nate grew up in the Church but always hungered to go deeper and experience God further than he had seen, and this hunger initiated a series of radical encounters and adventures into the "MORE" of God that was always available.
