RICK RIDINGS: "A Word to the A.W.O.L. Intercessors: 'The War is NOT Over'"

I was awakened in the early hours on July, 22, with the word “A.W.O.L.� strongly impressed on my mind. Then I sensed the Lord saying: “The large part of my intercessors that were called to the battle for Iraq have now gone “A.W.O.L.�– “absent without leave�. I never said the battle was over. But My intercessors let up when they heard the secular media declaring that the main military war was over. Since when have I called My intercessors to receive their battle orders from the secular media? The battle is far from over. You must continue to strike the arrows against the ground until the Enemy’s resistance (to my purposes) is truly broken.

And what are my purposes for Iraq? Are they not revealed in Isaiah 19? Much of Iraq is included in My promises concerning Assyria: “Isaiah 19:23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together.

24 In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. 25 The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, "Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance."

So this is not a time to ease up your intercession for Iraq. If you do not return to the battle field of intercession, even the little that was gained could be taken back by the Enemy. I am calling you to hold what was taken, and to keep striking the arrows against the ground so that much more ground may be taken. Keep on proclaiming Jer. 50 and 51 as to what I am doing in this region. Keep on proclaiming Isa. 19 as to what I will do in this region. And keep sending confusion against the Enemy as you continue to praise and worship Me for My sovereign and good plans for this region. For this area is key to the fulfillment of My covenant promises to both the “sons of Isaac� (the Jews) and to the “sons of Ishmael� (the Arabs).

[Note: I received the above message in the early hours of July 22nd. I began to proclaim Jeremiah 51, especially verse 3, which says of Babylon (which is in Iraq) to “completely destroy her army�; verse 13 which states the “time has come for you to be cut off�; and verse 23 which states that God shatters the governors and officials (of Babylon)�. Later that day, the news came that the two sons of Saddam Hussein had been killed. I felt that was confirmation that I needed to send out this word more widely. May the Lord God guide you in your prayers and proclamations concerning Iraq].
