THE BEGUILING
SERPENT

TWO TREES
Â
The vision portrayed two trees in the garden and I identified them as the
two trees spoken of in Genesis 2:9, "...the tree of life also in the
midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."
Â
In the vision, I was given a pair of eye glasses by the Lord. The name
written on one lens of the glasses was "Discernment", and on the other
lenses was written, "The Word of God".
Â
In the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was a large serpent. It was
very fat and long and entwined itself around every branch of the tree.Â
Even though the serpent was large and literally filled the tree, it was
hard to see with natural vision as it had completely camouflaged itself,
matching the brown branches and the luscious green leaves. I could easily
see it, however, due to the "glasses". Â
Â
The tree was full of fruit that looked good from all outward appearance.
At first glance, it looked like a strong, healthy tree and yet I noted in
myself a strange sense of soulish attraction towards it that needed to be
stood against in faith.Â
Â
The serpent called to a group of Christians who were standing under the
shade of the Tree of Life. He beckoned them with a voice that sounded
very smooth and enticing, saying, "Come, taste and see -- the fruit
is good."
Â
Â
"YOU ARE EATING WORMS!"
Â
A surprisingly large group of the Christians were captured by the
seduction of the serpent's voice. They responded to the invitation and
very quickly went and began to eat the fruit off the tree. With the
"glasses" on, I saw worms coming out of the fruit as they were eating but
they didn't seem to notice. I said, "You are eating worms!"
Some, simply continued eating ignoring my words of alarm while others
became very defensive and began to attack me with arguments of
retaliation.Â
Â
Others, all of a sudden realized what was happening and began to vomit and
cough up foul mucous that was filled with worms. In shock by what had
happened, they quickly staggered back to find refuge and restoration under
the shade of the Tree of Life.
Â
The group that remained eating of the fruit of the serpent's tree, all of
a sudden began to fill baskets with the fruit and carry it back to those
who were standing in the shade of the Tree of Life. As they eagerly
offered the fruit, they began to repeat the exact words of the serpent, "come...taste
and see --Â the fruit is good."Â
Â
Â
THE ANGEL OF WISDOM APPEARED
Â
The angel of Wisdom appeared in the vision. She had a lamp in her right
hand and in her left was a little gold book with silver lined pages. The
book was called "The Eternal Word". The print inside the book was written
in blood red. She said, "from the tree of the knowledge of good and
evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it, you shall
surely die."Â (see Genesis 2:17)
Â
Those that had been deceived began to argue with the angel. One
individual acting as a spokesman for the group explained with convincing
words that the fruit was a "new expression" of truth and that it was good
to eat and would make one wise. They explained that it was good to eat
the fruit because God had created the tree and the fruit.Â
Â
Some of the Christians under the shade of the Tree of Life, listened to
the spokesman, saying, "we recognize this one as a credible person in
the Body of Christ.......they must be speaking truth."Â A number of
Christians who had agreed with the spokesman, left the shade of the Tree
of Life and walked towards the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and
began to imbibe of it's fruit.
Â
At first, when the Christians began to eat the fruit, their eyes appeared
to brighten for a short while. They were proclaiming with fervency their
new-found "knowledge" and sharing with each other the great, fresh
"revelations" they were receiving.Â
Â
Â
GREY PALLOR AND A DARK FILM
Â
Following this short season, however, a grey pallor came over them and a
dark film covered their eyes. They began to feel weak and sick.Â
Â
They then looked over at those who were under the shade of the Tree of
Life who were brilliantly glistening with a holy radiance and strength.Â
They saw the angel of Wisdom teaching those under the shade of the Tree of
Life, from the book, "The Eternal Word". They were getting strengthened
and filled with wisdom, understanding and insight.Â
Â
Many attempted to return to the Tree of Life, realizing that they had been
beguiled. The serpent, noticed that some of those he had deceived were
attempting to leave his domain and began to wrap himself tightly around
them causing death. Some escaped.
Â
END OF VISION
Â
INTERPRETATION OF
VISION AND FURTHER PROPHETIC INSIGHT
Â
1.   An attack of demonic deception is infiltrating the Body of Christ.Â
It involves a seduction from the serpent who lives in the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil. This will result in Christians being tempted
to determine, through their own thinking processes, what is right and
wrong rather than standing on the authority of the Word of God. The
deception will attempt to bring in levels of compromise such as were found
in the days of King Ahab and Jezebel. The compromise in Ahab's rule
brought about the infiltration of the prophets of Baal.. The prophets of
God (except for a righteous remnant -- 7,000 and Elijah) became the
prophets of Baal through bowing their knee to the deception. Compromising
the truth today will ultimately lead us into dangerous deception on a
corporate level as in the days of Ahab and Jezebel.
2.   Demonic oppression of Christians will take place in those who eat of
the deception (portrayed through the worms in the vision). This will lead
them into deeper deception and will dull their spiritual senses. It does
not mean that they will lose their salvation, but they will lose their
sharpness in their ability to discern truth.
3.   The seduction will be "preached" to Christians through some
respected ministers. This will cause many to follow the deception and
leave the place of refuge (Tree of Life). It is honorable before God to
respect leadership but all believers (including leaders)Â are vulnerable at
times to the crafty deceptions of the enemy. Weigh up all doctrine and
prophetic applications against the Word of God. In humility approach
leaders for biblical explanation for what they proclaim if you are needing
further understanding.
4.   The "eye glasses" are available to Christians in order to see
clearly. Divine discernment and the plumb line of the authority of God's
Word will give the insight needed to see any deception. Christians must
adhere to this divine plumb line in the coming days.Â
5.   Oppression and destruction are consequences of falling into the
deception.
6.   Christians who maintain purity of doctrine will be strengthened and
filled with glory and wisdom.  Â
