FROM DUTCH SHEET'S MINISTRY: "COLORADO FIRES OF NATIONAL CONCERN" PLEASE ALERT INTERCESSORS!!

Dear friends,

Today as Dutch's intercessory team was gathered to pray, we were led of the Lord to pray regarding the fires here in Colo. We felt this was of national concern, not just local. The fires have continued to escalate. Whenever the firefighters have felt they have begun to contain them, the wind has shifted and put more area in danger. Two areas previously contained have reignited and progressed, both toward areas where there are homes - one toward Denver and one toward Woodland Park, which is just over the mountain from Colorado Springs.

We just got word that the fire has jumped Hwy 67, which is the major highway through the mountains above us and was the eastern edge of the fire acting as a firebreak. Now, Palmer Lake, and Monument, where the Sheets' and Eastman's among other leaders live, and the Air Force Academy are on alert. The elderly have been told to evacuate Palmer Lake at this time. This is the north end of the Colorado Springs area. Currently the expectation is that these areas will be evacuated before tomorrow morning unless the fire is brought under control.

Also of concern are comments from a government source that I saw on CNN last night. He said that if we had the strong sustained rains that it would take to put the fires out, it could cause the "slurry" (ash and debris) from the fire to wash into the water sources. This would affect the water supply. Colorado's rivers are the water supplies for a number of states. He said there is nothing left up there to hold back the debris from the water sources. HE SAID THEY NEED A CONSTANT DRIZZLE THAT WILL SOAK IN AND NOT CAUSE MASSIVE RUN OFF, EROSION AND DAMAGE TO THE WATER SOURCES.

As we prayed today, we felt that this is a national issue and NOT a Colorado issue. Jim Goll sent us an email today with a word from one of his intercessors that the word Hayman (they're called the Hayman fires) was HAMAN, as in the book of Esther. Chuck, Pierce has felt this is a year to focus on the book of Esther. I've heard this from others of you as well.

Our intercession has had NO effect on this fire, except to keep it, so far, away from homes. It has burned well over 100,000 acres, but only 25 homes have been lost, though 1000s have been in it's path.

PLEASE HELP US PRAY. ALERT THE NATION IN YOUR REALM OF INFLUENCE.
