"Hodu in Hebrew means both
Turkey and "give thanks."
|
How wonderfully appropriate for the holiday tomorrow! |
Thanksgiving was first celebrated in America in 1621 by American pilgrims who wanted to show thanks for their harvest. In 1863, President Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving to be a national holiday and day of rest. It's since become a favorite holiday of many Americans who are very family oriented.
We usually celebrate with a turkey and all the fixings—but this year we have a unique way to express our heartfelt thanks.
We are Christians, individually, and we make up a whole...one body.
And during this time of Thanksgiving, it is time for us to unite as one body—even in the midst of the political division our country is experiencing—it is time to give thanks and it is time to give an offering of peace.
During this time of Thanksgiving, aren't you grateful for your true brothers and sisters in the Lord?! Aren't you thankful that we can unite even in the midst of divided times?
Because we are NOT alone! We are one body...running the race together...lifting each other up...and staying strong together.
And when we plant a tree of peace and prosperity—a gift to the Holy Land and the Jewish people—we are demonstrating the power of unity in spite of our circumstances. We are making a statement!
"So we, being many, are one Body in Christ, and every one members one of another." (Romans 12:5) |
God loves Israel. God has sustained Israel and His children for generations in spite of opposition. You can help bless "the Apple of God's eye" and join thousands who have been a blessing to Israel and released a blessing in their own life!
Bless Israel & You'll Be Blessed! |
Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to join in and release a blessing on this family holiday! It's easy for you to activate this in your life and your family's life. |

"There can be no doubt as to the blessing that comes from participating in seeing God's chosen land blessed by the planting of olive trees. I believe that as we sow this seed that we will see the fulfillment of Psalm 1 in our own lives and be like a tree planted by the rivers of water ourselves."

"In 2008, Chuck Pierce had a vision of America. Of key significance was each state's relationship with Israel. He said that a covenant state is one that welcomes the Jewish people and recognizes Israel's role in the earth. ALL NATIONS ARE RECONCILED AROUND ISRAEL. We believe that each state needs to re-establish its relationship with Israel. Our commitment is to have a tree planted representing every county in the United States. That will anchor a ley line to Israel with physical roots originating from our home states and counties. Planting a tree in Israel and taking a physical root in the land deepens the covenant relationship and creates a bond of peace for individuals, states, and nations coming together. Each tree sponsored is a sign of covenant between a county and the state of Israel and will act as a physical memorial that will potentially live on for thousands of years. Please take a moment to read this email and consider this spiritual and physical strategy for America to anchor her root connection with God's land, one county and one state at a time. We are calling on a blessing for our states and our nation and you can be a part of this release. Please read on to find out how!

What you need to know about the special project:
|
There are 3,141 counties in the United States, and our trees will be planted together in a grove that will be marked and identified as a gift from our nation to Israel. |
• |
There is a virtual visitors' center that allows sponsors to see satellite images of their grove. This information is accessed through the number on a certificate of authenticity that is issued for each tree sponsored. |
• |
The land that My Olive Tree uses for the tree sponsorships is under long term lease agreement. |
• |
My Olive Tree will take responsibility to replace a dead tree. |
• |
Each year, ten percent of the sales of the olive products from our trees will be given back into the nation of Israel, via various humanitarian aid projects that are overseen by Curt Landry's ministry. The remaining percentage of the sales will go back into Israel's agriculture. |
• |
My Olive Tree will provide a high quality wood carved sign that will identify our project. |
• |
Trees have a positive effect on the economy, the environment, and the hearts of the people. They create jobs, they produce oxygen, they produce food, they increase rainfall...they make the desert blossom and rejoice. There is a saying in Judaism that says: "You plant a vineyard for your son and an olive tree for your grandson."
|
A message about My Olive Tree from Curt Landry:
My Olive Tree is a company that encourages the sponsorship of trees in Israel to help boost Israel's agricultural economy and provide jobs through continued harvests, etc. MOT works with agricultural businesses and farmers in Israel. The contract with the farmers states that My Olive Tree receives 10% of the profit of the oil that is harvested annually from the trees. MOT has agreed to donate this annual percentage into humanitarian aid work in Israel—the other 90% remains with the farmers. This is in an effort to bless Israel's industry and families.
Sponsorship: there are options to plant trees for less in Israel. Many times these trees are small "saplings" that are planted solely for the purpose of reforestation. They are generally planted without irrigation and do not receive further care. MOT plants for reforestation and for the purpose of receiving future harvests. The trees are at least 3 feet tall, irrigated and receive the care they need to become mature trees that produce annual harvests. They are purchased from nursery stocks that are "designed" to produce healthy harvests in specific types of soil. The sponsorship of the tree is not tax-deductible.
Shalom,
Curt Landry
P.S. The part in the video with the children always touches my heart. |
