PROPHETIC PERSPECTIVE - "AT THE GATE CALLED BEAUTIFUL" by Jim W. Goll of Ministry to the Nations www.jimgoll.com email: info@mttnweb.com -------------------------------- Entry Scriptures - Acts 3:1-10 -------------------------------- "And a certain man who had been lame from his mother’s womb was being carried along, whom they used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, in order to beg alms of those who were entering the temple. (Vs.2) And all the people saw him walking and praising God; and they were taking note of him as being the one who used to sit at Beautiful Gate of the temple to beg alms, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him." (Vs. 9, 10) ------------------------------ PROPHETIC PERSPECTIVE - "AT THE GATE CALLED BEAUTIFUL" ------------------------------- I was recently given a dramatic encounter with the Lord that has gripped my whole being. It centered around a revelation of the beauty of the Lord. I was shown an interactive vision of an arched gateway with the words BEAUTIFUL spelled out at the top of the arch. Then as I a gazed in the Spirit, the gates opened inwards inviting me to see what was behind these ancient gates. I then stretched forth my hand and it passed through a clear plasma-like veil separating the visible natural from the visible spiritual. I was exhilarated by what I saw and experienced. On the other side of this gateway, there was a glowing substance, amber in color. I could pick it up of hold it and yet it would run through my fingers like semi-liquid gold. It had weight and substance to it. It was pregnant with the presence of God. Perhaps it was a token of the glory (kabod in Hebrew) of our Lord. His presence was all over my being. ----------------------- A LAME MAN AT THE GATE ----------------------- As the vision continued, I looked over my left shoulder and I saw a lame man sitting outside this Gate called Beautiful. All of a sudden I knew that I was experiencing in some manner a depiction of Acts 3:1-10 where the lame man sat every day outside this gate. I was now keenly aware that the lame man was waiting for someone who already knew the way through this Gate into the Temple of God itself; then waiting for someone to come back and give to him what they had received. I was shocked. I was amazed. I was then overcome with compassion as I wept with the understanding that thousands, and yes, millions of people are sitting outside the gate of the temple needing someone to touch them with the presence of God that they had just received. We must learn to go through the gate of the beauty of the Lord and then we must pass back over on the other side with this revelation of God’s goodness and touch others with the glory of God’s Beautiful presence. He is waiting on us. They are waiting on us as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - A Key to Signs and Wonders ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As I continue to ponder on this prophetic encounter, I realize in this lies a great key to the release of signs and wonders. Beholding the beauty of the Lord creates within the receiver, a wonder and amazement of God’s love and goodness towards mankind. In turn, faith works through love. As a result, our gaze upon others changes and we become a carrier of the infectious presence of God Himself which is able to transform, deliver and heal peoples lives. I am convinced that a new level of signs and wonders will be released as we pass through the Gate called Beautiful and turn around and release what has just captured us. ============================================= Blast From The Past - Madame Jeanne Guyon (French Christian Mystic from the 1600’s) ============================================== God will continue to unite us to Himself is a beautiful way. You are called to enjoy God -- not only His gifts to you. While His gifts are beautiful, they cannot bring full contentment to your soul. The most exalted gifts from God cannot bring happiness unless the Giver also bestows Himself. The whole desire of our heavenly Father is to give Himself to every creature according to the capacity in which we will receive Him. ========================================== Target Practice - Practicing His Presence ========================================== Read carefully through these five simple steps and then practice them. 1) Take Psalm 27:4 and read is slowly out loud three times. 2) Now pray this as a request to the lover of your soul as the desire of your heart. 3) With your eyes closed, pause now and reflect upon the beauty of the Lord. 4) Gaze with the eyes of your heart and look intently into the Lord’s presence. 5) What do you see? What do you hear? What do you feel? Soak in His beauty. ======================== The Prayer of Adoration ======================== Open the eyes of my heart so that I can gaze upon Your beauty. I long to see You and know You as the psalmist David and others did. By faith and by the inspiration of Your word I declare, “How lovely are Your dwelling places, O Lord our Maker. Indeed, I have found You to be altogether lovely.” Open to me experientially the Gate called Beautiful so that I too could declare the glory of Your great presence. For Jesus holy name sake.
