In my January 2001 newsletter I shared: “The SHEPHERDS will be very surprised by God. Pastors are going to begin to hunger for God like never before. This is going to produce a visitation of God to the pastoral gift of the Body of Christ. When this occurs, it is going to cause both a fear and a glory to come to the Church. This visitation of God will cause a rethinking and reorganization in the administration of the Church.” This past Sunday afternoon I received a phone call from Pastor Dutch Sheets with a burden to see revival springing forth in the local church. This occurred after the Holy Spirit had interrupted the church service in Denton at Glory of Zion Outreach. In that service, we had 54 baptized. --------------------------------- THE WORD OF THE LORD TO PASTORS! --------------------------------- The message from the Lord is: PASTORS, GET READY FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO INTERRUPT AND DO A NEW THING IN YOUR CHURCH! LET GO AND LET THE SPIRIT OF GOD MOVE! REVIVAL HAS COME TO OUR NATION! Pastor Dutch Sheets sent the following: ---------- Revival! ---------- On Saturday, February 2, 2002, (2/2/02) God gave a dream concerning me to one of my spiritual fathers, who then called to give me Isaiah 22:22 again. Many of you know the significance of this verse to me concerning my calling to America. ----------------------------------- YOUTH REVIVAL IN AMERICA HAS BEGUN ----------------------------------- I felt the Lord was speaking to me through it about revival. I have, in fact, been declaring since January that the youth revival in America has begun. Later that evening, as I was preparing for our Sunday morning services, I began to meditate on revival, planning to speak on it the next day. As I was praying in my study, my gaze fell upon a stack of videos in the corner of the room and focused on one entitled, “The Asbury Revival.” This video had been in my stack for months, but I had never noticed it before. The anointing of the Holy Spirit was so strong – the Lord was definitely leading me to this particular video. I began to watch it, and was amazed to see that the next day – February 3rd – was the date the Asbury Revival began in 1970. The Lord began to heavily impress upon me the significance of this date, and that a spirit of revival would begin to break out all across the nation February 3rd – this past Sunday. I have already had confirmations from several pastors that this did indeed begin to occur last Sunday. February 3, 2002 was a day of new beginnings! Though in its initial stages, revival has begun! Begin to expect this in your churches and communities! Dutch Sheets Colorado Springs, Colorado -------------------------- And Pastor Robert Heidler sent the following report on the service in Denton: --------------------------------------- THE HOLY SPIRIT FALLS AT GLORY OF ZION! --------------------------------------- What a Sunday in Denton, TX! Everyone I’ve talked to has said, “I’ve never experienced anything like that!” Here’s a brief description of what happened Sunday: We began the service at 10:00 AM with two praise songs. During the second song, Barbara Wentroble gave an incredible prophetic word, and we entered back into praise at a higher level. At the end of the second song we moved into a time of baptism. We were excited because we had six people scheduled to be baptized. Chuck Pierce, who was scheduled to speak this Sunday, gave prophetic words to those being baptized, and to some in the congregation. ------------------------------------------------------- A LINE BEGAN TO FORM OF MORE WHO WANTED TO BE BAPTIZED ------------------------------------------------------- In the middle of the baptism the Holy Spirit began to stir in an unusual way. By the time we finished baptizing the six who were scheduled, a line began to form of additional people wanting to be baptized! Each shared a testimony of what they sensed God doing. For most, it was a sudden conviction by the Holy Spirit to break off the sin of the past, and make a total commitment to the Lord! The more we baptized, the longer the line grew! Amazing breakthroughs were happening in many lives! There were a few tears, and much laughter in the Lord. The Spirit fell so powerfully on some they had a hard time getting out of the baptismal! -------------------------------------- LOOKING FOR MAKESHIFT BAPTISMAL ROBES -------------------------------------- Through it all, God moved through Chuck to give incredible prophetic words to people all over the auditorium. Most of those being baptized hadn’t brought anything to be baptized in! We had elders, deacons, and staff searching through the building looking for makeshift “baptism robes.” People were baptized with towels wrapped around them, in T-shirts from the youth room, in shepherd’s and wise men’s robes from the Christmas musical! Toward the end we were using tablecloths from the kitchen! The service lasted from 10:00 AM to 1:30 in the afternoon! Chuck never gave his message, we never sang another song, and no one wanted to leave! GOD was there! (We didn’t even break to take an offering. People just came forward and left their offering on the altar!) I don’t think anyone was able to keep count, but I would estimate between 45-55 people were baptized! God said this would be a year of visitation at Glory of Zion, and He VISITED us powerfully this Sunday! We are going to keep the baptismal set up and ready every Sunday this month. Let the resurrection power of Jesus break the power of the past in your life! Now is the time to the waters to stay stirred and flow out to the community.
