Rosh Hashanah: A New Season to "Push the Reset Button"
It is a time of new beginnings. God can push the reset button from the past season. Sometimes if you have too many programs open on your computer screen running for a long time it starts to freeze up and blocks up everything to where you can no longer use your computer. The only thing to do is to push the reset button. Many are also stretched in so many areas that they start to freeze up spiritually with the cares of this life. That is why God designed specific times and seasons to push the "reset" button and come away. Suddenly things clear up and answers to prayers and solutions are present.
Have you ever had so many things to do you could not figure out what situation to solve first and you were exhausted by it all? Then you took a long nap or maybe took a weekend rest or vacation and when you came back rested, happy, and having spent stress-free time with God and family you were more clear and able to deal with the situations that came. That's what God wants to do for you during this season: Push the reset button!
Harvest Time is Here!
September/October is a time to begin to enter the harvest fields once again!
Farmers eagerly wait for the rains that will cause their crops to produce harvest during the fall rains. Many are so geared into survival mode because of the hardship of the last season that they can easily miss the harvest that is at hand.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Many are guilty of trying to figure out how to take care of the "things" like provision, and they lose focus of the reason they are in the Kingdom. If we seek first to expand His Kingdom then God will provide all the "things" and provisions, not the other way around.
Many that started out wanting to reach the lost and expand His Kingdom often end up just keeping busy doing the rounds, speaking almost only to churches and conferences, forgetting about the huge unsaved harvest fields they were originally commissioned to reach and model to the Church. We need to step out in faith to expand the Kingdom in our sphere of influence that He has given us first ? then the provision comes.
I asked the Lord for a sign this fall that the harvest was coming in. Shortly after on Sunday, September 4th, Labor day weekend, we organized a major Jewish Outreach. We had no way of actually knowing if 10 or 400 would show up as this was advertised strictly to the lost.
What happened was that 470 Russian Jews packed into the hall in Brooklyn, New York; 400 Russian Jews received Yeshua as their Messiah after tons of miracles and healings started to occur during my lecture on the "supernatural," which was the draw to bring them in.?It was amazing, and the congregation that helped us with the follow-up was amazed! They said they never had so many salvations in one hour and were struggling to keep up with the all the Jewish people begging for more as they were shoving their way to the table to give us their name and addresses for follow up! We give God all the glory.
When you consider that New York City had a major hurricane threat and evacuation just days before, the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 one week later with security fears, and the upcoming U.N. vote to divide Jerusalem it would be easy to focus only on the negatives, but in the midst of the shaking there is a harvest! It was a huge financial sacrifice, as we had to rent a building, buy secular TV, radio and newspaper ads in New York City, and translate/dub them into Russian. But the harvest was all worth it as expanding the Kingdom is priority #1 apart from right standing and fellowship with Him.
As the shaking occurs the harvest ripens! Even one soul saved is more important that just going to yet another conference. Better yet, do both ? get fired up and equipped, then go out and use it as God has gifted and anointed you.
There is a new wave of Jewish salvations in the USA and around the world! The last time this occurred was during the Jesus Movement where the U.S. had the largest harvest of souls in America. More Jews came to salvation during this time than any other time in U.S. history. When you see the Jews coming to the Lord again in record numbers, the Gentile harvest is not far behind. There is a huge harvest upon us!
When God starts to shake the nations it's like shaking an apple tree for the fruit to fall. Either you will be shaken or you will be at the bottom of the tree with your harvesting basket ready to receive the harvest! When Egypt was shaken it actually was the best of times for God's people in Israel. During the worst economical, natural, political shaking, Israel was set free from slavery, wealth was released to them in one lump sum for 500 years of free labor, and they started their journey back to the Promised Land ? when they obeyed His directives.
We are in a similar season. God is about to cancel debts, save entire households, and payback time is coming from what the enemy stole in the past season. What are you looking for and expecting? If you are looking for the harvest you will find it. If you are looking for doom and gloom, you can easily find this too just by watching the news. We know certain things are going to happen that will appear negative to the world, but to His people walking right with Him and listening to His directives these are divine opportunities for harvest and blessing!
The Bible clearly says in Matthew 24 that there will be famines, wars and rumors of wars, persecution, etc. Most people stop there and don't see the end result in Matthew 24:14 that says, "And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
Prayers Being Answered
The way to be in a season of continuous answered prayer is tied up in this Scripture:
"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16).
When there is nothing in your life that you are aware of that is between you and God (or people), there is direct access and answered prayers. If there is sin or disobedience in your life that has not been dealt with, it causes hindrances to your prayers. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Then all these things will be added...
The two things we need to remember are to 1) be focusing on expanding His Kingdom to the lost, and 2) make sure you are walking in His righteousness. It's true that we are the "righteousness of God," but many don't activate or fully walk in it. Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and see if there are any unresolved sin issues.
Sometimes you may not even realize there is something and when you ask the Holy Spirit something pops up that was suppressed like a sleeper cell waiting for the perfect stressful condition to pop up. Do some pre-emptive strikes against sin, especially during this season. Even no longer believing the promises, i.e. unbelief - it needs to be repented of because without faith it is impossible to please God.
Rosh Hashanah leading up to Yom Kippur is a special season God set aside to help us push the "reset" button and rest in Him, seek His face, and turn away from and break the power of sin. When you do, the Heavens open up in a whole new way, and great favor comes!
Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
Shift is Happening
During this season of Rosh Hashanah God is releasing fresh commissioning directives. There are new battle plans and strategies from Heaven He is releasing for those who will take the time to rest in Him, seek His face, shake off past discouragement and sin, gather with God's people, release your love and offerings to Him, and expect God to visit in an unprecedented way this season! He is the reason for the season!
September and October are extremely key months. In fact, the way you approach this season will determine the rest of the year into next year.
The months in which Rosh Hashanah leading into Yom Kippur and the Feast of Tabernacles occur in are the most active months spiritually. We are so sure of this that we schedule many of our own conferences around what we call these "seasonal portals," where we can experience exceptional times of open Heavens and intimate times with God. Not only for individuals but the fate and destiny of nations are often decided during this time. (The U.N. will try and determine Israel's destiny during this time, which in turn will actually determine how each nation votes for or against the nation God calls His nation, Israel.)
Since God created these appointed times and not man, and since these are blueprints of what goes on in Heaven releasing God's rain, we would be wise to enter into the season He created for our benefit, as God is syncing Heaven with earth. The Bible even says that the Feast of Tabernacles will be celebrated by every nation when Yeshua (Jesus) returns to rule and reign from Jerusalem in the millennium ? as He will be the reason for the season.
Happy Rosh Hashanah, and have a new beginning as you push the reset button! Ask for the rains of harvest!
Zechariah 14:16-17 In the end, the enemies of Jerusalem who survive the plague will go up to Jerusalem each year to worship the King, the LORD of Heaven's Armies, and to celebrate the Festival of Shelters. Any nation in the world that refuses to come to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of Heaven's Armies, will have no rain.
