Many have reported that there's been a big increase in seeing and hearing in the spirit?in just this year alone. God is getting us ready for something BIG! We've GOT TO "hear" and "see" more clearly than ever.
This is a great prophetic word and teaching about seeing and hearing in the spirit. Barbie Breathitt gives amazing insight into the spirit realm and how to prepare our hearts for what God is wanting to reveal to us this day. And yes, there has also been a big increase in the prophetic realm this year too. For those of you who are prophetic, seer people, this word will greatly encourage you to press in even deeper.

The Year of the Seer! The Prophet, Watchman and a New Realm of Vision and Understanding
The Year to See
2010 is the year of Ayin?the awakening eye, a wellspring, the seer who perceives the declarations of God with understanding. This is the year to see eye to eye as never before. To achieve our destiny we must forgive past offenses and bring reconciliation. The Prophet and the Watchman of God are also coming into a new realm of vision and spiritual understanding. God is orchestrating divine encounters. He is pouring out dreams and visions in an increased measure.
For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.?2 Chronicles 16:9 NASB
This is the year when the visitations of "angelic messengers of fire" will increase dramatically. Father is lifting us out of the old and transforming us into the supernatural realm of the impossible, into the unfathomable, immeasurable "breakout." God is going to cause the river of anointing to spring up within our spirits to water the dry and thirsty (John 7:38).
He (God) has made everything suited to its time; also, He has given human beings an awareness of eternity; but in such a way that they can't fully comprehend, from beginning to end, the things God does.?Ecclesiastes 3:11-12 CJB
Daniel was a man of great, godly wisdom. He was able to tap into God's revelatory realm. He gained so much futuristic insights that he was told to seal up the revelation until the times of the end. We live in the days when man is able to ascend and descend, and go to and fro into the heavens and receive knowledge about the ways of God.
But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.?Daniel 12:4 NASB
See, Obey and Say
Daniel knew how to decree, declare, and repent of sin to open spiritual gates into the natural realms. Daniel prayed until he experienced breakthrough, empowerment, and he was released into revelation wisdom and knowledge. Prayer is the gateway to the spiritual realm of vision and revelation. Daniel was visited by the angel Gabriel in the vision realm. Gabriel gave Daniel skill with spiritual understanding. We are going to learn how to cooperate with the angelic host who will enable the spiritual eyes of our heart to be enlightened to see.
...While making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.?Ephesians 1:16-19 NASB
Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God, yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. We will not reach the heavenly door (Revelation 4:1) that is open for us unless we press into prayer like never before. We need to picture our hands reaching up to God for help and His sword coming down to avenge us of our enemies. This is the year to bless our enemies with love, grace and mercy. The angelic host that is with us is more than those who are surrounding us with intent for malice. Prophetic prayer will deliver us from fear by opening our eyes to see, while at the same time prophetic decree will blind our enemies and place them at our mercy. We will be able to lead our enemies to salvation and their eyes will be opened to God's saving word, loving spirit, and grace. It is the year to see, obey and say.
Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Then Elisha prayed and said, "O Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the Lord opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, "Strike this people with blindness, I pray." So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. Then Elisha said to them, "This is not the way, nor is this the city; follow me and I will bring you to the man whom you seek." And he brought them to Samaria.
When they had come into Samaria, Elisha said, "O Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see." So the Lord opened their eyes and they saw; and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria. Then the king of Israel when he saw them, said to Elisha, "My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?" He answered, "You shall not kill them. Would you kill those you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master." So he prepared a great feast for them; and when they had eaten and drunk he sent them away, and they went to their master. Elisha's mercy triumphed over judgment. Great grace will lead us to victory. The King of Israel was eager to kill his enemies, but the prophet redirected his focus. The word of the Lord, His mighty sword, is fighting for us. His anointed word will not return void but will accomplish what it is sent to do. The angels respond to the spoken word of God.
Bless the Lord, you His angels, mighty in strength, who perform His word, obeying the voice of His word! Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will.?Psalm 103:20-21 NASB
Prepare Your Hearts to Turn Aside
to See Your Future
Prepare your hearts to turn aside to see your future. Then say what you see in prayer so you can experience destiny in your own fiery, burning-bush God encounter. The fire of God's glory comes to cleanse and purify. He is an awesome, jealous God that is to be reverenced. His holy fire releases the baptism of fire and brings us into the Spirit of holiness. God's presence is a consuming fire that produces righteousness, peace, and spiritual understanding. Who among us can live with the appearance of His continual burning, consuming fire?
Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning? He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity, he who rejects unjust gain and shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe; he who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil...?Isaiah 33:14-15 NASB
...These God will cause to dwell in the high places of favor with Jesus as their rock and fortress.?Isaiah 33:16
If we honor God in all we say and do, our needs will be met according to His riches in glory. The more we know God the more we honor, revere, and fear Him.
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.?Isaiah 11:2 NASB
As the seven fiery Spirits of God ignite our lives with the holy presence of the Lord, we will delight in the fear of the Lord. We will stop judging circumstances and people by what our natural eyes see. We will begin to see into the invisible realm. We will no longer continue to make decisions by what our ears hear people saying but will tune our ears to hear what the Spirit is saying. As we are clothed in a robe of righteousness and the belt of faithfulness, we will give grace to the poor and make fair decisions for those who are less fortunate and afflicted. Then our encouraging words of love will carry authority that will convict the wicked of their wrong ways (Isaiah 11:3-4).
Fire reveals the heart. We need to embrace the fire and allow the fire to burn up every sin and offense. Offenses come to reveal things that are hidden from God's light in our darkened hearts. God's fire will remove issues such as jealousy, hurt, grief, disappointment and sorrow caused by betrayal, which lead to unresolved anger and bitterness. There is a spiritual and physical connection between harmful, negative attitudes and physical infirmity. Forgiveness will release the healing anointing and moves us closer to our destiny.
Be Diligent to Keep Your Heart Pure
The Bible tells us to be diligent in keeping our hearts pure and clean, for out of the heart spring the issues of life. The spirit or breath of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart. By completely opening our heart for the fiery lamp of the Lord to search it, we will be healed of the past and move into our destiny triumphantly.
When Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.?John 2:23-25 NASB
There are Believers who have left the Church due to offensive wounds of rejection, misunderstandings, envy, misused authority, and control.
So Jesus said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?" Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life."?John 6:67-69 NASB
The Spirit of Holiness will turn our heart to repentance and restoration.
"Just see what this godly sorrow produced in you! Such earnestness, such concern to clear yourselves, such indignation, such alarm, such longing to see me, such zeal, and such a readiness to punish wrong. You showed that you have done everything necessary to make things right."?2 Corinthians 7:11 NLT
God reveals the future so we can prayerfully bring the future into our now. God is refining us, not as silver, but in the furnace of affliction for His own sake. This will insure that His name is not profaned and that His glory will rest upon us as we operate by the spirit of holiness. God's ordained works will not burn up, but His fire will reveal His glory.
I was awakened to God's voice saying, "Wood, hay, and stubble..." The Holy Spirit is showing us areas in our lives we need to repent of or change. God's fire will consume the works we have done in the flesh that were not inspired by God.
Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work. If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.?1 Corinthians 3:12-15
Just Like Moses, there will be a Shift from Just Hearing the Word of God, to Seeing the Plans of God
The ministry of the seer is going to bring a major shift from just hearing the word of God to seeing the plans of God in dreams and visions. It is easier to remember something we see than words we hear. We are visual beings. It is important to learn the symbolic, metaphoric language of the Spirit.
Moses was dwelling in, and pasturing his sheep in the wilderness. This is the same place we have found ourselves for the last ten years. But Moses' wanderings finally brought him to Horeb, the mountain of God. This year we will begin a new ten-year cycle and find ourselves in a mountain-top experience with God.
The angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush. First Moses looked, and then he beheld?the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. We have been through the fire for years. The fire consumed the wood, hay, and stubble in our lives.
This fire also purified our hearts and cleaned our hands so we can receive and carry the blessings of the Lord. Many of us found ourselves in the fiery furnace that had been heated up seven times hotter by our enemies. This furnace of affliction destroyed the strongman in our lives but left us with the image of the fourth man, Jesus, imprinted on our spirits. We learned that our enemies are really working on our behalf. It is a year to bless your enemies.
Next, Moses said, "I must turn aside NOW and SEE this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up." When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" God has been calling each of us by name. He has been tuning our ears to hear His voice. Now the Holy Spirit is going to focus our eyes to see God in the invisible realms of the Spirit.
And then Moses said, "Here I am." Be encouraged! You have not been forgotten. God knows exactly where you are.
Then God said, "Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground." Moses understood that he was just being introduced to the fire and who God is. God said also, "'I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God" (Exodus 3:1-6 NASB).
When Moses first encountered God, before the fire had done its work, he was afraid to look into God's beautiful face. Moses hid his face in shame in the presence of a holy God. After the fire had refined Moses and he had completed the cleansing process, God met with Moses face to face, and called him a friend. Developing an intimate friendship requires an open heart of trust with an ability to share secrets. This year, God is going to share His secrets and mysteries with His friends, the prophets and seers. It will be the best show-and-tell ever.
God Gives a Clear Vision When He Releases a New Order
Desperate prayer caused the Lord to remember Hannah and heal her barrenness. The Lord gave her more than a son in Samuel; He gave her a prophet and seer for a nation.
The Lord stood before Samuel in the vision realm and called his name audibly. The old priestly order had grown dull of sight, and hearing the word of the Lord was rare in that day. God gives a clear vision when He releases a new order. The older generation, though passing away, is able to give keys of wisdom to the next generation. Eli instructed Samuel to lie down in his place of rest and wait for the coming of the Lord. Acknowledge the presence of the Lord when He comes, and declare you have ears to hear His voice.
We must have a fresh seal of the Holy Spirit resting upon us with Jesus as the center of our lives. Give God first place in your life by honoring Him with your time. As we wait on the Lord we become strong and our heart takes courage. Intercession and prayer enables Christ to be formed within us.
"My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you."?Galatians 4:19 NASB
It's time to set fire to the brush, tares and weeds.
Sow with a view to righteousness, reap in accordance with kindness; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD until He comes to rain righteousness on you.?Hosea 10:12 NASB
Intercession will release revelation and prophetic insights on how and what to pray for to get answers.
"While You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus." And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.?Acts 4:30-34
Both Moses and Samuel said to God, "Here I am!" I believe it is time for each one of us to cry out to God, "Here I am! Prepare me, purify me, and send me to the nations."
It happened at that time as Eli was lying down in his place (now his eyesight had begun to grow dim and he could not see well), and the lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the Lord where the ark of God was, that the Lord called Samuel; and he said, "Here I am." Then he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." But he (Eli) said, "I did not call, lie down again." So he went and lay down. The Lord called yet again, "Samuel!" So Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." But he answered, "I did not call, my son, lie down again."
Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor had the word of the Lord yet been revealed to him. So the Lord called Samuel again for the third time. And he arose and went to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." Then Eli finally discerned that the Lord was calling the boy. And Eli said to Samuel, "Go lie down, and it shall be if He calls you, that you shall say, 'Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.'" So Samuel went and lay down in his place.?1 Samuel 3:2-14
God is trying to get us to lie down and get into our places of rest so He can visit us in the realm of the Spirit. We are always trying to be human "doings" when God has called us to be human beings. God wants us to rest near the ark of His presence so we can hear His voice, experience His intimate love, and see a vision of our future. As we enter into rest, He will find His resting place in us. God inhabits the praises of His people.
The Lord stood before Samuel in the vision realm and called his name, audibly.
Then the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" And Samuel said, "Speak, for Your servant is listening."
God gives a clear vision when He releases a new order.
The Lord said to Samuel, "Behold, I am about to do a thing in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle. In that day I will carry out against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end. For I have told him that I am about to judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knew, because his sons brought a curse on themselves and he did not rebuke them. Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever."
Eli heard God was going to judge his house for the iniquity, but he still didn't repent. But in the new order Samuel both heard and saw the plans of God and his ears tingled as God brought balance and clarity to his temple.
It is Time to Wait in and Walk in God's Presence
The Bible is full of God-given revelation through dreams, visions, and prophecy. We must study to show ourselves approved so that we can operate in the Spirit of understanding. We need to be spiritually fruitful in today's age of increasing spiritual awareness?which is both good and evil. We must learn from the Holy Spirit to discern between the two and have the character to reject the evil and embrace the true.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened...?Ephesians 1:17-18 NKJV
The tangible presence of God residing in our lives, enabling us to do the impossible, is more important now than ever before in history. We do well to adopt the prayer of Moses in Exodus 33:13-16 (below). Moses asked God to show him His ways. This involves the spiritual realm of vision. If we are able to see our future and understand the ways God wants us to walk, we will prosper. It is time to see the grace and favor of God resting upon us in the realms of glory. Part of knowing God is seeing His glory manifest in and through our lives. Do we really know God if we are not walking in the strength of His power doing great exploits?
"Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace [favor] in Your sight, show me Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people." And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Then he said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth."
It is time to lay down and wait in God's presence until we are filled with His power. We need to connect to and release the Kingdom of God that is within each of us. Love for God and mankind will demonstrate the reality of His glorious presence and the truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Let's Pray: Dear Lord, please remove the veils that blind my eyes and give me insight with understanding, the Spirit of wisdom with revelation knowledge. Let me become a seer of your glory. Anoint my eyes to see and ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. Through the Spirit of revelation give me access to the heart, mind, and words of Christ where all the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven are hidden. Immerse me in the Spirit of love. Amen. (Colossians 1:9)
