Dear Faith Filled Ones:

Below are the next seven days of devotions. Keep seeking—we are making headway!

DAY 19

I heard a sound the other day in prayer. This sound was like a knock on a door. I then heard the Lord say, "I'm standing and knocking to come in and sup with you in a new way. I want to be brought to your table. I want to be served a new meal from you—not Me serving you. Invite Me in and serve Me what you have to give Me."

As I began to visit with the Lord, He said, "I am dealing with My people on the way they are praying. Many are asking Me the same things that they have asked Me in the past season. You have asked Me for the same thing over and over so that you have become repetitious in your asking. Come before Me and worship Me, and I will give you the revelation on what to ask for that will tear down and break through the barrier that has held back My blessing from you. Yes, I would love to do everything for you, but you must learn to ask and exercise your faith against the enemy.

"Find the thread of revelation that you need to enter the land that awaits you. There is a knocking that I am doing. If you will allow Me to just sit down and eat with you, and if you will serve Me for a moment, then I will begin to visit with you and you will know in a new way what to ask Me. I am ready to manifest Myself to you in a new way!"

Read Revelation 3, Joshua 2, John 2. Read 2 Chronicles 7 and Meditate on verses 12-15.

DAY 20

The Lord says, "This thing that you have been watching for—I am doing it in a different way. You have gotten so repetitive in what you were asking Me that it built a rut within your thinking process. I AM answering your prayers, but you are watching one way and I need you to watch from a different perspective. Watch and see, for I am honoring what you have asked Me to do, but I am doing what you asked Me in a different way.

"Re-look. Re-look. Re-look now at the situation and you will see the way I am taking you. You will see what I am doing to bring you forth. You will see how I am answering your prayers. You will see the path forming before you. Re-look! Re-look! Re-look!

"So look again. See again. Hear again. You will begin to move again and see Me moving in your midst again. I AM there. I AM Jehovah Shammah. I am in your midst. Look again. I AM Jehovah Rophe. Look again and feel My touch. I am moving past where you have been. Leave where you have been going to, and even spending money in one way, and come and touch Me again. Touch Me—I AM moving near you! Look again and see Me in your midst.

"You have been like the men on the way to Emmaus. Things have happened and you've been troubled. You've been walking. You've been on your way and you've been questioning. You have said, 'WHY?' You have been using your own understanding to deduct the reasoning behind what happened! In your asking 'Why?', you are now saying, 'What do we do now?' I say to you, 'Come aside and sup with Me!' As we break bread together, your situation will become clear and the revelation you need will be given. Look again and you will see that I have been walking with you. I have been there all along just waiting to open your eyes to where you are going.

Let Me touch your eyes and then LOOK AGAIN! You could not see at all. Then I touched you. However, you still are not seeing clearly. So let Me touch you again! Let Me lift your eyes and cause you to look up! Then when you re-look at the situation you are in, you will see clearly!"

Read Luke 24. Meditate on Mark 8. Memorize Psalm 121.

DAY 21

I have listened to LeAnn Squier's CD, "Letting Go", many times over these last three months. Anointed music with a message can do more than you know. As I was listening to the title song on the CD this past week, I heard the Spirit of God speak to me:

"YOU MUST LET GO SOME MORE. If you are willing to let go again, I will grab hold of your hand and bring you through to the place that I have been preparing for you. You are facing a very narrow place, so let go some more. Let Me take those things that have been weighing you down and causing you to feel lethargic and depressed. Do not be weighed down as you enter this next season. The course of the race that you must run is treacherous and requires your freedom.

"You have not understood why I pulled some of your desires away from you in this past season. You have failed to comprehend why I have made some of your acquaintances go another way when you enjoyed their fellowship. You have been confused in your thinking because I have redone and reordered your times, and now your feet are being pointed in a new way. I've been pulling gently, but now I will tug harder, for I am in need of you for this next season. I need all of you. If you will let go, then I have so much I can put into your hands. Let go some more so I can give in some more. Let go again. Let go again of some things so I can fully fill your hands in new ways.

"I want each of you to look deep within because some of you are developing a bitterness over a prayer that you have not seen answered. Do not let this bitterness spring forth or else many will be defiled. Your thoughts and desires must GO BEYOND your present expectations of MY abilities to move on your behalf. The answer is coming in a way that you do not perceive. Let go of your expectation and see MINE. See into a realm of My Spirit that lies beyond your mind. My word does not return void and cannot be bound. Now is the time to let go of your emotional unrest since this will lead to confusion, disillusionment, and discouragement. This attitude will cause apathy, and eventually, disinterest in knowing Me. My ways are not your ways. Let go again! These attitudes will stop your communion with Me in days ahead.

"Remove impatience and bitterness that is wrapped around the revelatory release that is coming out of your heart and mouth. Let go of it. Let go again, and then I will show you how to pray. I am going to move in a new way on your heart and your mouth will decree the change. The repetition in your prayer life has stopped you from praying the prayer of faith. The prayer of faith will penetrate and break open that which needs to be broken open! Let go of the prayer that you keep praying and allow your spirit to pray in a new way. Hear new and fresh.

"The delayed action of what you have been watching and waiting to see has nothing to do with wrong actions. However, this has caused you to lose My creative touch, and your passion is waning. Praise creates passion, and passion comes forth with a fiery voice that rises like a sacrifice into the heavenlies. This will tip the bowl of incense that is filling in the heavens. When Heaven's bowls are filled, I pour out My glory manifestation. You are very close to filling the bowl that will be tipped and poured out into the earth realm. This bowl of glory will change your atmosphere."

Read Hebrews 10, 11 and 12. Meditate on Revelation 8:1-5. Memorize Hebrews 12:28-29.

DAY 22

Today, let's recognize the mindsets that rob us of our inheritance. Many issues can block the flow of God's blessing in our lives. Use the Scriptures that are included in each point as your daily reading and meditation. Grade yourself on a scale of 1-10 on how prevalent these thought processes are in your life. Even though the following list is not comprehensive, it provides several possibilities to consider as you begin to reestablish your Kingdom portion.

Ignorance. Often we Christians simply do not know that God has an inheritance for us to possess. We may not understand issues of covenant or the process of spiritual life. Another aspect of ignorance deals with the revelation that the Holy Spirit is bringing in this present season. The enemy longs to capture us in yesterday. If we become so attached to what the Holy Spirit was revealing yesterday that we cannot move forward, then we are in danger of coming under a religious spirit and missing revelation for the present day. The Holy Spirit brings revelation to us in order to give us the wisdom to dismantle the enemy's authority upon the earth. Therefore, if we resist the spirit of truth, which enables us to have fresh power against satan, we fall into the enemy's trap.

Poverty mentality. A poverty mentality keeps us from entering our full potential. Those bound by expectations of poverty never look beyond the narrow scope of the immediate lack in order to find God's rich promises for the future. If we expect to live in poverty, whether physically or spiritually, we will not be disappointed. Poverty says, "God is not capable!" The poverty mentality is not just linked with possessions, but with every issue of supply in our lives, including such things as relationships to God and to one another. "There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty" (Proverbs 11:24).

If we have a poverty mentality, we tend to resist giving because there may not be enough left over. However, the Word of God says that a mindset like that will actually lead to poverty. We must get right in our giving if we are to break out of poverty! Another issue of poverty is found in Proverbs 21:5, which says, "The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty." You must learn to wait upon the Lord! To wait means to see the door of opportunity opened to you. If you become hasty and get out of God's timing, you miss your door of opportunity and you are held in poverty.

False humility. This differs a little from the poverty mentality. False humility will cause us to say, "I know God has more, but I just don't deserve it." Not one of us deserves all that God has given us. We have all fallen short. But out of His grace and love for us, and because He has a covenant with us, the Lord offers us life abundantly—no matter what we have come out of. False humility negates confidence and boldness. Confidence and boldness are linked with faith and belief in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Early Church was a bold Church. False humility is nothing but pride in disguise. It is also linked with a religious spirit that can hold us in undue shame (back to the "I don't deserve it" mentality). Romans 1:16 tells us to not be "ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation."

Laziness. Though we may not feel that we don't deserve it, some of us just may not want to deal with the responsibility of inheritance. Luke 12:48 says that to whom much is given, much shall be required. We do not possess our inheritance just for our own benefit. As we come into our full covenant with God, He will ask us to use our resulting inheritance to advance His covenant with the earth. Just as in the parable of the talents that Jesus gave in Matthew 25, we are expected to take that which God has given us and expand His Kingdom with it.

In Proverbs 15:19, we read that the way of the lazy man is like a hedge of thorns. And Proverbs 22:5 says that thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse. Laziness is linked with perversity and fear. Proverbs 20:13 says, "Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with bread." If we do not resist and break free from laziness, it will lead to poverty. If we break free from this spirit, we will begin to see a new level of supply.

Fear. Some people do not want to take a risk that may be required in order to possess their inheritance. I know a couple who, after a miscarriage, were so devastated by the experience that they decided not to try for more children simply because of the fear of the same thing happening again. Fear can be a gripping and immobilizing force that keeps us from even trying to reach beyond our present circumstances into a future that is unknown. Ask God to break the back of any fear that immobilizes you.

Presumption. Satan would love to capture us in one of two ways: either through unbelief or presumption. Many fall into the latter snare by presuming to know what God has for them and how He wants to accomplish His purposes. No one can know exactly what God has in store for them. People who have received prophetic words often begin to work on making the prophecy come to pass, only to be terribly disappointed. Even if we know in general where the Lord wants to take us, we must allow Him to set our path to get there. Furthermore, we must be prepared that our "there" may not look like we imagined. God's ways are far above ours. And His plan of redemption and inheritance in our lives is far more complete and fulfilling than any plan we might craft on our own.

Past woundings. Just as fear can immobilize us, so can past woundings. If we feel we have been treated unjustly, we may not be able to trust God or others enough to stay in our covenant place. We must come to a place of forgiveness and then allow God to heal and soothe those places where we have been too wounded to move forward. If we do not, we will never possess our inheritance.

Rebellion/authority problems. We cannot secure our inheritance until our authority structures are in place. That means that God is on the throne of our lives and we submit not only to Him, but also to those who are in authority over us here on earth. If we have a problem with rebellion and with submitting to Biblical authority structures, we must ask the Lord to reveal the root of the problem so we can rid ourselves of it. God cannot lead us into our inheritance if we refuse to follow!

Now, after you have reviewed these mindsets, declare that you will have the mind of Christ and overcome any stronghold holding you captive!

DAY 23

I am excited to announce that Possessing Your Inheritance has been re-released. This was my first book and is still my favorite. Rebecca Wagner Sytsema wrote this book with me. In this updated version, an introduction has been added and each chapter includes new prophetic revelation. This book has one of the better chapters on "Breaking the Power of Generational Iniquity." Below is a dream that is included in the book. The title of the dream is: It's "Dew" Time.

"For the seed shall be prosperous, the vine shall give its fruit, the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew—I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these"Zechariah 8:12).

Recently I had a dream in which I was walking in a thick, blue mist. I asked the Lord what the mist was. I sensed the Lord saying, "It is dew. You have entered a new season; it is 'dew' time." Knowing that the color blue signifies truth in the Word of God, I realized God was trying to release a revelation of truth for today. I then began to study "dew," and I believe the Lord revealed many correlations between the effects of dew on the earth and how He desires to move us to our next manifestation of His glory.

1. Dew renews the face of the earth. During the night when dew falls on the earth, vegetation is nourished and grows. Without dew, dryness and desolation can set in, greatly inhibiting the growth process. The same is true of renewal in the Lord. We are being renewed day by day, which suggests that an ongoing renovation, restoration and transformation is happening in our hearts and lives. Just as dew regenerates and renews the earth, so the Holy Spirit regenerates and renews us. The dew of renewal also brings a complete change of heart. The dew, though only a fine mist, is often enough to soften hard and otherwise barren ground. This is the same concept as the new wineskin, softened with oil. The Holy Spirit, God's restorative agent on this earth, can transform and renew through the quiet spiritual soaking of the dew of renewal. He needs only our cooperation, through obedient and submissive relationship with Him, to soak us afresh with the dew of renewal.

2. Heavenly dew provides strength to move forward. Dew is released when all is still. It does not gather when there is heat or wind. When the temperature falls, the air comes to a point of rest, then the dew can begin to cover the earth. Rest occurs when we enter into the perfect will of God. If we will get still before the Lord, we will receive the revelation and strategy to move forward out of the hassles, anxieties and warfare that have sapped our strength in the past season. The opposite of stillness is haste. Haste leads to poverty and lost inheritance because we misunderstand or are not willing to wait for God's strategy for our next step forward.

3. The dew of the Holy Spirit imparts overcoming power. "His heavens shall also drop dew...Your enemies shall submit to you, and you shall tread down their high places" (Deuteronomy 33:28- 29). By appropriating the power of God through the Holy Spirit (which in this passage is likened to dew), we have the authority to dethrone the enemy's plan to keep us from spiritual life and wholeness. High places in the Bible are often linked with places of sin and iniquity; places of idolatrous altars. We all have or have had high places in our lives filled with sin and iniquity, sometimes even passed down to us through the generations.

The dew of the Lord, used here as a picture of washing us clean, gives us the power to tread down the high places and defeat old enemies living there. This overcoming power allows God to break our conformity to the standards of this world, and renew our minds. He is able to replace old deceptions that have caused us to fail in the past with a new belief system that will bring us to success!

4. The refreshing dew of the Lord uncovers new supply and provision. "'Therefore may God give you of the dew of Heaven, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine.'...Then Isaac his father answered and said to him: 'Behold, your dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of Heaven from above'" (Genesis 27:28, 39). When Isaac blessed Jacob, he equated the dew of Heaven to the material prosperity that Jacob would receive. Like the rain, dew was regarded in Biblical times as God's gift, bringing good harvest and providing food. As the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, we find that God supplied their needs each night as the dew fell.

"Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium. The people went about and gathered it, ground it on millstones or beat it in the mortar, cooked it in pans, and made cakes of it; and its taste was like the taste of pastry prepared with oil. And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it" (Numbers 11:7-9). Dew, therefore, came to symbolize supply and provision, new every morning. As we follow the Lord's leading, His dew will also rain down new supply and provision in our lives, just as it did for the children of Israel.

5. The favor of God is "like dew on the grass" (Proverbs 19:12). Favor means pleasure, desire, delight, to be pleased with or favorable toward something. When God is pleased with us, His favor rests on us. Favor is very similar to grace and to glory. When we respond to the sovereign hand of God, He begins to drop down on us His favor. His favor can cause us to accomplish things on the earth and give us access to places that we did not previously have access to. The opposite of favor is reproach, which means to find fault with, blame, criticize, disapprove of or discredit. As God's favor comes upon us, He removes condemnation, judgmentalism, failure, mistakes from the past-places where the enemy has brought reproaches into our lives. We exchange disapproval for favor.

6. Dew is not permanent. Dew falls during the night season when all is quiet and calm. As soon as the new morning breaks, however, the dew begins to evaporate. Our seasons, like the dew, are a process of moving from glory to glory. We cannot settle into all that the dew brings and expect it to last beyond the time God would allow. The children of Israel received just enough manna for one day. The earth receives just enough dew to be refreshed for a short season. In the same way, we cannot allow ourselves to settle into our current state of glory. If we do, we will find that God is moving in a new way, or interrupting us with a circumstance, problem or even a vision that we can't control or engineer with our present understanding.

We need to move to our next place of glory. For that, we must receive new revelation from God. If you are in a place of confusion, listen for God's voice to receive the necessary instructions that will bring new order to your life and circumstances. Do not fear changes! His glory falls like dew!

Read Genesis 24-26. Meditate on Isaiah 30:15a. Memorize Titus 3:5.

DAY 24

I asked my wife to write what the Spirit of God was sharing with her, and this is what she sent: "Earlier this morning, I was standing outside in the rain after Chuck left for the office. As the much needed moisture soaked through my shirt, I looked up at the sky and said, 'Lord, what's up with all the rain? This is really making things difficult for the Head of the Year Conference out on the land.' I didn't have to wait long for God's answer in my spirit. The Lord said, 'You don't get to choose when I decide to break the drought in this region.' Well, that's enough of an explanation for me! The mud, while an inconvenience for us, is a minor hurdle in God's plan for the land and for His people. I believe we all have the opportunity to please Him with our response to the weather over the next few days. As for me, I'm wearing jeans and my rain boots!"

My son Joseph then walked in my office after I read her email. He and Ethan, my seventeen year old, had been part of the 1-3AM Prayer Watch in the big tent on the land. While they were there, they looked up and saw a hummingbird in the tent. Pam called me when Joseph was telling me about this and said, "Oh my, I am watching the rain outside my kitchen window, and I see a hummingbird hovering and watching me!" I went to find prophetically what this meant. Here is the significance: "Rapid success from a small beginning will be as sweet as honey."

Here is what I hear the Lord saying to each of us as we end the last ten-year season. Ask Him to break your drought! Let Him send your refreshing in His way and in His timing. Then, in the midst of the new that is beginning around you, do not despise small beginnings. Lift up your eyes around you and LOOK, for there are signs very near you. The season ahead is about LOOKING BEYOND AND SEEING WHAT YOU COULD NOT SEE IN THE LAST SEASON! Shout Grace! Certain mountains that were blocking your sight will now fall.

Read Zechariah 4. Meditate on Psalm 121 and memorize Psalm 19:10, 119:103.

GZI pulled aside in the month of August to hear a new sound. I heard the Lord say these words, "THINKING AND SEEING BEYOND!" I knew He was saying we must go into the Throne Room past anything that has hindered us in the past, and press to hear His word for the next season.

DAY 25

When we understand the times, we know what to do! Thank you for pressing into the devotions over the last 20+ days. We just entered the Hebraic Year 5770 at Shabbat on Friday night. The remaining devotions will take us through and into The Feast of Tabernacles. This will help develop within you the revelation to begin the next new season.

Last night at sundown, Rosh Hashanah began! To review, ROSH HA-SHANA, the "Head of the Year," is marked with two holidays. This Fall Feast has become the "Jewish New Year." Many years ago, I began participating in this Feast when I recognized that the Lord had established three major feasts to keep us in His timing and keep us pressing toward harvest. Rosh Hashanah heralds the beginning of the "Civil New Year" by the "Feast of Trumpets" or "Day of Blowing" (Yom T'ruah).

Zechariah 9:14 specifically states that the Lord GOD Himself will blow the shofar when He fights in the last days with the Sons of Zion against the Sons of Greece. The trumpet begins the "Ten Days of Awe" before the Day of Atonement. In Leviticus 23:24-27, the celebration consisted of the blowing of trumpets, a time of rest, and "an offering made by fire." YOM T'RUAH, The FEAST OF TRUMPETS, begins the season and ten days later is YOM KIPPUR, the DAY OF ATONEMENT.

Blowing the shofar is God's Gift to us! Through the sound of the shofar, you can hear the call to RETURN! This is the sound the Lord uses to call us back to Himself, back to the simplicity of devotion to Messiah, back to a life fashioned by His wise hands, not by our anxious efforts to be fulfilled. This sound causes the heavenly realm to move on the earth and it opens the way for those on the earth to move in the heavenlies. Awesome things take place when the shofar sounds according to the command of the Lord God Almighty: walls fall down (Jericho), enemies are destroyed (Gideon), the presence of God manifests (Sinai), and God's people enter into the covenant cycle of blessing God has prepared for us (Feasts).

YOM KIPPUR, THE DAY OF ATONEMENT. To remind you, the ten days following the blowing of the trumpet are known as "Days of Awe," where we are expected to examine ourselves, seek repentance, and make restitution. Kippur is linked with word redemption. Success occurs when we are centered in God's redemptive plan for our lives. By praying and seeking the Lord and allowing the Spirit of God to cleanse us, our vision becomes refined.

Then we end the celebration of the beginning of the year with the Feast of Tabernacles. This is a Feast that we are prophetically maturing into as Jew and Gentile become the one new man. We see this Feast mentioned in the New Testament in John 7. This Feast is known as the Feast of Illumination. May the Holy Spirit give you new light and revelation for the year ahead.

We are now in the process of gathering on the land in a tent for the Head of the Year 5770: A Season of AYIN (His eye will guide)! We are entering a season of occupying our inheritance, digging new wells, and entering the "Tent" to tabernacle with our God. The Hebraic letter, Ayin, is also the number 70. Prepare to cross over into the "head" of the Hebraic year, receive power to war for breakthrough and find new wells of life. Prepare to be CLEANSED and ready to celebrate the going in to your promise.

I sent out a card and email of this image that visually illustrates the season we are entering. This has generated several interesting comments. We are not entering a peaceful season. This season is supernatural! God's people must leave "religion" and their natural way of battle and enter this supernatural season with sharpened weapons. This is a season of breaking new ground. When you look at the symbol for AYIN, you can see the necessary action for breakthrough.

You must extend your hand through the darkness and into the heavenlies. At that point, the Lord will give you strength by touching you with His HAND. He will release the Sword of Revelation that will connect with you to do war. This will be the battle of the EYES. You will battle with MAMMON in the next years. You will battle dark watchers and "dark pools." This will be a season where we battle with occult structures that are attempting to rule the earth realm and keep us from unlocking new resources. May the Spirit of wisdom and revelation rest on you now!

Read Nehemiah 8. Meditate on John 7. Memorize Zechariah 9:14.

May you enter this season ahead with new strength and joy!
