An Angelic Vision—Winds of Destiny
During a time of waiting on the Lord, I was listening to beautiful worship music and the lyrics simply had me caught up in the sweet presence of Jesus as I meditated upon His loveliness.
As I worshipped, Jesus came and touched my heart in direct response to my deep cry to be in perfect communion with Him.
In the vision it seemed I had a purple heart, yet when the Lord drew near to me He removed my "purple" heart (symbolising bravery and courage in battle) and put a new heart in me. This new heart was pure white, holy and righteous, and it blazed with glory.
During this time of transformation, an angel came with wind and holy fire—the angel's name is the Angel of the Winds of Destiny. The angel was present with us and we were surrounded in heavenly fire for the entire time Jesus met with me. This encounter with the Lord is not unique to me, for His righteousness is available to all who seek Him.
The Lord blesses the home of the righteous (see Proverbs 3:33) and enables the righteous to live by faith (see Habakkuk 2:4). Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God's throne (see Psalm 89:14) and His righteousness endures forever (see Psalm 111:3).
Righteous Hearts—We are Kissed to Life
By His Peace
At the time the Lord was transforming my heart, He spoke to me saying that it isn't so much that we need brave hearts (i.e. warrior) for this coming season, more so our need is to have righteous hearts, which we receive as a gift in His grace. I am from a "poet warrior" tribe—the Celts are renowned for their bravery in battle—but I realise that there are seasons in Kingdom warfare and also various strategies and blueprints of wisdom for battle. One such overcoming strategy that Jesus has given to the Church is that of His righteousness.
The Lord Jesus taught, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled" (Matthew 5:6). May God cause a holy desire in every heart of His own to hunger after His righteousness! A righteous heart is one that is completely surrendered and consumed in humility by God's glory and the holy fire of His eternal presence. Such hearts will blaze glory trails in the nations, for the Bible promises us that, "Righteousness exalts a nation" (Proverbs 14:34).
No matter what we face in suffering, trials or even temptation, so long as our hearts are surrendered to Christ, then we will overcome in the enduring righteousness of the Blood of Jesus and the completed work of the power of the Cross. Hallelujah!
The writer of Psalm 85 says, "Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other" (verse 10). These divinely inspired words paint a majestic picture of God's incredible compassion towards mankind. God meets with us in the power and purity of His righteousness and kisses us to life with His peace. The psalmist goes on to say, "Faithfulness springs forth from the Earth, and righteousness looks down from Heaven. The LORD will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest." (verses 11-12)
God graciously and faithfully meets us here on earth and in a moment of holy wonder causes a divine convergence and catalytic response in our hearts as the Holy Spirit conforms us to God's righteous heart of grace.
"Surely His salvation is near those who fear Him, that His glory may dwell in our land." (verse 9) The Scriptures highlight the powerful spiritual reality of God's righteousness and the mighty effect it has with regard to the end-time harvest of souls throughout the nations. We are in a time of global harvest and we must comprehend that God is faithful to impute His righteousness to us so that we might be fruitful and effective in the harvest as Kingdom co-labourers. Beloved, we are blessed to be a blessing. It is time for impact!
Righteousness Goes Before Us and
Prepares the Way
As I continued to worship Jesus, the "rest" of the Lord became an experiential reality in my soul. My lips could barely manage to speak, yet my entire being was lifted up in the Spirit. As I appeared once more before the Lord, I noticed I had questions in my hands. These represented situations that I am presently seeking divine counsel for. Jesus came gently towards me and took the questions from my hands and, smiling, He enveloped them in His robe of righteousness. I saw my questions disappear as they merged into His heart, becoming one with the Master.
This speaks of Jesus' perfect provision for all life's questions and the place of perfect rest we may live in by His Spirit. This has particular relevance as we embrace both the blessings and the challenges of global harvest and discipleship. We must rest in God's faithfulness and receive His righteous kiss of peace.
Beloved, whether you are a busy leader, a weary housewife, a hardworking father, or a young person finding your way in life—Jesus is the answer to all our questions. I encourage you to enter into His rest and receive His peace and grace. He will provide divine counsel at just the right time, in the most opportune way, and through His appointed and anointed ones. We can be confident, for God leads us in all our ways:
"Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps."—Psalm 85:13
