A Plea For United Prayer Among Youth: Interceding For Our Nation

We are in the midst of what is possibly the most critical election in our nation's history. With this in mind, we are issuing a plea to the youth of America to cry out to the God of Heaven and earth, that truth, justice, and righteousness would prevail. This is NOT a partisan issue; rather, it is a prayer issue. We are asking young people across our country, along with youth workers, parents, and other "friends of youth" to join us in the following four commitments:

PRAYER UNTIL THE ELECTION IS RESOLVED

1. Individual prayer and fasting as the Lord leads, from now until the election is resolved, with a special focus on this Friday when the Supreme Court meets at 10 am.

YOUTH GROUPS UNITED IN PRAYER

2. Youth groups joining in united prayer for our nation during their mid-week meetings.

PRAYER AROUND THE FLAGPOLES, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 7 AM

3. Twenty to thirty-minute prayer gatherings around the flagpoles at school campuses on Friday, Dec. 1, at 7 am. The east coast would then be praying 3 hours before the Supreme Court meets, while the west coast would be interceding when the Court session begins.

INTERCESSION FOR THE MIDDLE EAST CRISIS

4. Intercession as well for the Middle East situation, which seems to be getting more tense daily as our own country is preoccupied with the election.

THE PSALM 2 SCRIPTURE TO "HAMMER OUT IN PRAYER!" --PRAYING FOR THE SUPREME COURT IN HEAVEN TO RULE OVER THE SUPREME COURT ON EARTH!

---WITH THREE GENERATIONS!!

At The Call DC we sensed that Psalm 2 was a major Scripture text to hammer out in prayer before heaven: "Ask of Me and I will give the nations as an inheritance to you...Now therefore you kings be warned, you JUDGES tremble before Him." We believe the hour of perseverance in prayer is at hand. Let the Church of America unite in prayer, with three generations of believers asking the Supreme Court of Heaven to rule over the Supreme Court on earth on the very day of their deliberations on this election matter. Let us pray through Psalm 2 for the whole day and agree in prayer concerning God's decree of authority of His Son's rule over kings and judges. Let us continue to affirm Christ as "ordained judge" of all men and all magistrates (Acts 10:42), and to proclaim His Kingship and preeminence, the vanquishing of all demonic powers, and His finished work. (Col. 1:9-18; 2:15; Rev 1:5, 8)

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE THIS PLEA WIDELY

Please distribute this Plea as widely as possible. Also, join us in praying that this Plea would be guided by the Spirit to the grassroots level (which on a human level could never happen, given the short time frame), so that youth, as well as the rest of the Church, would rise up with one voice and cry out to God on behalf of our nation.

May the mercy, peace and love of God be multiplied to you and to all faithful servants of Christ in this hour. (Jude 1,2)
