John Belt: "Journey to Take the Land--We are in a SEASON of ADVANCEMENT for the Lord's Kingdom Purposes"

I've never felt such a forward thrust of the Kingdom, which is suddenly and violently happening through fasting, prayer and spiritual warfare!

In the last two to three years, prophets have prophesied over and over with increasing intensity that it's time to: MOVE OUT! Advance! Accelerate. Take the Land.

But we must do it with wisdom. Sometimes we do well to advance by HIDING OUT in the Lord. As John Belt says below, "The enemy cannot track our steps when we dwell in this secret place. In this place we are hidden in His shadow. The enemy is exposed by God's light and we can see his strategies and sidestep his ploys."

There are two ways to fight. One is without much wisdom where you end up battled and wounded, bruised or crushed. The second is with great wisdom and patience, with opportunities for rest, refreshment and strategic planning. I like the second way better than the first.

Here's to wisdom. After reading this, check out Paul Cox's two BRAND NEW BOOKS--one is Heaven Trek--but only if the SUPERNATURAL holds profound interest to you. (I love the Supernatural!) The other one is Sacrifice the Leader. Get Sacrifice the Leader only if you really want to learn how not to VICTIMIZE yourself or others when there are problems in the camp AND you want to learn how not to become a casualty yourself when someone comes to you with their problems.

My goodness, the Church needs, Heaven Trek and Sacrifice the Leader! Enjoy these books and enjoy this word of wisdom by John Belt.

Joshua 2:22, "They departed and went to the mountain, and stayed there three days until the pursuers returned. The pursuers sought them all along the way, but did not find them."

Two Spies

Two spies were sent by Joshua to get a report on whether the time was right to enter into the land promised to them by God. After the spies had been there and received the report from Rahab the harlot that, "the fear of them had settled on their people of Jericho," and the spies departed and went to "the mountain" and stayed there three days. Meantime their pursuers were out looking for them. But the two spies where hidden from them, being hidden in the mountain.

Psalm 91:1, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

The Mountain

When God takes us to the next level, the place of invading a land He has promised to us, there is wisdom in knowing where to go and finding that hiding place in Him. The mountain is symbolic of that hidden place of safety and refuge where no pursuer can find us. The enemy cannot track our steps when we dwell in this secret place. In this place we are hidden in His shadow. The enemy is exposed by God's light and we can see his strategies and side step his ploys.

Psalm 17:8-9, "Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who oppress me, from my deadly enemies who surround me."

A Time for Release

Three represents fullness, just like the Father, Son and Spirit represent the Godhead (Colossians 2:9). So three is the number that represents fullness. When the spies had stayed on the mountain for three days, they were then able to leave the mountain to give the good report to Joshua. For us, it is not enough to stay just for a time. It must be the amount of time necessary to thwart the enemy's tactics. If the spies had left any sooner, they would have not been able to give the good report to Joshua. In turn, the land would not have been taken in the right season. There is a release that happens after a "fullness of time" has been fulfilled. When Christ came to earth it was "the" fullness of time. For us, there are seasons of certain fullness and timing that are necessary for certain promises to be released in our lives.

Galatians 4:4, "But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law."

Hebrews 6:12, "That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises."

Report Given, Land Taken

Due to the patience and the ability to wait, the two spies were able to return with a good report. Joshua was in agreement and the rest is history. But these two spies played a huge role because they saw the land and the promise with heavenly vision--with God's eyes or the eyes of faith. Their report of faith and victory was vital to Joshua to make his decision to take the land.

Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

Actualized Victory!

We are now in a season when many promised lands have been surveyed. God's agents/spies have gone in and have returned with a good report. But this report is only as good as our ability to be hidden from the enemy and to keep focus. So now, just as then, it is very important to be hidden on the mountain of God. There are some very specific purposes, plans and promises that God desires to bring forth through us. Being hidden in God, our Mountain of Refuge, we cannot be found by the enemy. Our key is found in His dwelling place, living in simple obedience to Him.

Joshua 6:15-16, "But it came to pass on the seventh day that they rose early, about the dawning of the day, and marched around the city seven times in the same manner. On that day only they marched around the city seven times. And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: 'Shout, for the LORD has given you the city!'"

Once the fullness of this season on the mountain has ended, there will be a window of release, engagement and securing victory. This year is a year of multiplied victories on every front. But this word is not a word of nonaggression. We are to be aggressive in taking the land with the strategies that the Lord gives us. However, we must remember that the steps we take are going to only be as effective as our time spent with Him on His Mountain.

We will deal the enemy heavy blows and take the land, engaging him at his blind side as we rise out of the secret place with faith, boldness and anointing. The devil does have a blind side! Only God sees it all! In the Old Testament, we continually see examples of God striking fear in the enemy's camp. We are able to blind side the enemy and aligning ourselves with the Lord in the heavenly places. Being found in His glory, we can release His power and light, bringing confusion to the enemy.

Isaiah 57:13, "But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My holy mountain."

We are in a season of advancement for the Lord's Kingdom purposes. Be encouraged while you seek His face in this time as the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

Isaiah 58:8, "Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard."

Glory to the King!
