THE RUTH HEFLIN STORY AND MORE
They are asking you NOT to call the Camp if you can help it since information
is being supplied via the Internet through these type of emails.
Last night, the 14th, I (Steve Shultz) received this alert from Tracy Ruleman:
============
"Hopefully you have heard of Sister Ruth Heflin. She is a great woman of
faith with an international ministry that was for many years centered in
Jerusalem. She has written many books most notably Glory, Revival Glory, Harvest
Glory, Golden Glory and others. Tonight she is in need of her own miracle. She
has had been battling cancer for many months. Without the miraculous
intervention of God, Sister Ruth's doctors believe that tonight could be her
last night.
Grateful for all you do, Tracy Ruleman Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle

THE RUTH HEFLIN STORY
Received from: Rev. Gary Reilly MajJoshua@aol.com
Here is a story by the Remnant news paper concerning RUTH HEFLIN'S DEATH
by Billie Reagan Deck (11:28 AM CDT)
ASHLAND, VA -- Friday Sept 15, 2000 One of the mighty women of faith, Ruth
Ward Heflin born January 21, 1940 went to be with the Lord this morning in
Richmond, Virginia. After being hospitalized for only a few days, she slipped
away surrounded by her friends and family. For the last hours crowds jammed the
corridors to bid farewell to this mighty soldier of the Cross.
Heflin a descendant of Jonathan Edwards and a long time missionary to the
nations was the only daughter of Wallace Harrison Sr. (deceased) and Edith
Heflin of Ashland, VA. Sister Ruth is the author of many books which are being
widely used to bring revival Among them are GLORY, REVIVAL GLORY, RIVER GLORY,
GOLDEN GLORY and UNIFYING GLORY. Her biography HARVEST GLORY is a history of the
Heflin family and her personal life story of a ministry that took her before
kings and heads of state.
She lived in Jerusalem for twenty-six years before returning to America in
1997 after the death of her brother, Wallace H. Heflin, Jr. She was also
preceded in death by her uncle Dr. William Ward who died August 1999. Sis. Ruth
is survived by her mother, Edith Heflin of Ashland, Virginia and nephews, nieces
and other family members.
Although Heflin never married she had many sons and daughters in the faith
who looked to her as "Mom". Her spiritual womb was full and she
produced many children by the Spirit of God.
A song writer and singer, her songs touched thousands. Her song I ASK FOR THE
NATIONS is sung as a prayer throughout the world. She will be greatly missed but
her legacy will live on in the lives she touched, the books and songs she wrote
and the love and inspiration that she gave to all who met her. I know that the
angels said, "Welcome home, Sister Ruth. Enter into your ETERNAL
GLORY."
Details for service will be posted on www.revivalglory.org
