TO VICTORY!"
"This is the season of the Sword of the Lord and the Lord of the Sword."
Welcome to Shepherd's Rod, Volume XII. For
the past twelve years, on the Day of Atonement, I've had a visitation from
Christ Jesus. In this prophetic encounter, I am given insights concerning coming
events in the world. I pray that you will be greatly blessed as you read this
visitation account.
Below are excerpts taken from Bobby
Conner's new book Shepherd's Rod Volume XII, The Season of the Sword of the
Lord and the Lord of the Sword, which will be available at a later date (we
will keep you posted).
 ADVANCE TO VICTORY
Last year's Day of Atonement, commenced with my quiet waiting upon the Lord. Suddenly,
the silence was broken by a loud swishing sound. Quickly turning to look over my
right shoulder, I am blinded by an intense, bright light.
The rays of this light
are more powerful than the noon day sun. Standing in this brilliant light, I see
the Lord grasping in His right hand a gleaming, razor-sharp, drawn sword. He
lifts it high above His head. A bold clear command sounds from His lips,
"Forward--advance to victory!" His voice is so powerful that it shakes the
ground and vibrates the Heavens.
The Spirit of God is encouraging each of us to awaken from spiritual slumber, to
arise to our post and advance. Advance: to move forward in position. The Spirit
of Truth is charting our course and making clear our journey; we must understand
that our destination is Christ-likeness. Only as we take on His full nature can
we love a hurting world. It is by this type of love that all men will know we
are truly His followers.
"A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another; as I have loved
you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my
disciples, if you have love one to another." John 13:34-35
JUSTICE AND JUDGMENT
The Spirit of Truth will release insights concerning the sword of the Lord.
Prepare to behold the Lord of hosts.
"So He said, 'No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come.' And
Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, 'What does
my Lord say to His servant?"" Joshua 5:14
Likewise, the Spirit will release understanding concerning the justice of God,
as well as the judgments of God.
Continuing with this vision: it was clear, on seeing the Lord with His sword
lifted, that He was ready to wield justice and judgments. Not sure of His
intent; my heart was pounding so hard, that my entire body shook. I watched
closely as the Lord approached a person that had been bound by many different
ropes and chains. Intuitively, I knew this was the present day church. With His
sword drawn and raised as if to strike, I was so stunned that my thoughts
suddenly became a loud cry,
"Oh, Lord, are we coming under great judgment?" He said in a powerful,
confident tone,
"No, I've drawn My sword and I am bringing justice. My
sword will cut away sin's cords of bondage, thus freeing God's people to run to
the battle."
THE SWORD OF THE LORD AND THE LORD OF THE SWORD
Because we have now entered into this season of the sword of the Lord and the
Spirit, I want to share a powerful prophetic event that occurred to me a few
years ago. This encounter will stir your heart to desire a deeper walk with
Christ, knowing that He has the highest plans and purposes for your life. Our
heart's prayer should be, "Lord, help me to grasp a deeper understanding of the
sword of the Lord and the Lord of the sword."
During the early hours of February 22, 2001, while in San Jose, California, I
had a vivid dream, which was so graphic and strong, that I was stunned awake by
it. Looking at the clock, it was precisely 2:22 AM. I pondered the dream for
quite some time before falling back into a deep sleep. To my utter amazement at
5:55 AM, I experienced the exact same dream, and this time, it was even more
intense.
I was shaken by the reality of having the identical dream. I was so
moved and astonished by these two back-to-back dreams, that I called my prophetic
friend, Bob Jones, in North Carolina to relate these dreams. Bob was considerably
stunned by my call, saying,
"You will not believe this! I received an almost identical dream last night!"
It is especially essential to take notice when God begins to release duplicate
dreams, as the Spirit of God is synonymously saying the same thing. The
Scriptures declare that it is in the mouth of two or three witnesses that a
thing is to be established (see 2 Corinthians 13:1).
Join with me in this prayer:
"God give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church,
and a heart willing to respond to Your call."
THE DREAM:
"It is time to kiss the sword!"
I am standing in a large crowd of people, in a place which appears like a large
hallway or passageway, much like a walkway in an airport terminal, but much
larger. The people are standing around chatting and visiting. They seemed to be
content simply to be standing around, going nowhere.
Suddenly, about forty feet
away, Christ Jesus appears. The people continue their idle chatter, seemingly
unaware and oblivious of the Lord's approach. He is walking with resolve toward
me with a big, brilliant, glorious sword in His right hand. His sword is
glowing, gleaming, and razor sharp. He continues walking until He stops directly
in front of me. Lifting the sword up high above His head, He says in a most
compelling tone,
"It is time to kiss the sword!" This is a strong directive and command. While
speaking these words, He lowers the sword to His face and places it at His lips.
He orders,
"Kiss the sword!" I extend my face and lips, preparing to kiss the sword--which
is placed flat against Christ's lips. As I lean forward to kiss the sword, He
turns the sword so that the extremely sharp blades face His lips and mine. I am
hesitant to continue to press my face and lips into the edge of the sharp,
glistening sword. Knowing my reluctance, He says,
"My grace is sufficient for you, and I bore the pain for you!" His
Words stir
deep within my soul, arousing strong confidence and assurance in my heart,
releasing courage for me to continue to press my lips firmly against the razor-sharp sword. In spite of His reassuring promise of no pain, I have to war
against my mind--it is not totally convinced that I will not be wounded, but
will feel excruciating, unbearable pain.
Nevertheless, as the sword begins to
penetrate, making its way into my lips, I felt only pleasure, not pain. So I
press even harder, as my deepest longing is for my lips to meet the lips of the
Master. My heart is filled with the plea of Song of Songs:
"Let Him kiss me with
the kisses of His mouth, because His mouth is altogether lovely."
I can feel a hot flow pouring forth from my lips. I know for sure that it is
blood streaming down my chin and onto my chest: I can feel its warmth, as well
as hear its splatter upon my feet and the floor. I am truly amazed and
astounded, thinking I must be bleeding extremely badly.
Nevertheless, I feel
absolutely no pain, only a deep unexplainable pleasure resulting in transcending
peace. As I look down at my chest and feet to see what is flowing from my lips,
it is not my blood at all, but rather, it has the appearance of flowing,
glowing, liquid gold. The Lord says,
"That is My glory--it is released by embracing the Spirit of Truth."
"He who loves purity of heart and has grace on his lips, the king will be his
friend." Proverbs 22:11
AWAKE! THE SPIRIT OF LETHARGY WILL BE DRIVEN OUT BY THE FIRE OF GOD
"Ready or not, here comes
the fiery breath of God!"
The Lord of hosts will shake the earth. The coming shaking will shake the
mundane, sleepy spirit from the body of Christ. It is high time to awake out of
sleep.
"And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep;
for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far
spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and
let us put on the armor of light.
Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in
lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts." Romans 13:11-14
Ready or not, here comes the fiery breath of God! The fire of God will drive out
the lethargic sluggish spirit. Likewise, this purging fire of God will expose
our works and show if it is wood, hay, stubble, or truly Kingdom business.
Notice what Paul writes:
"According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I
have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed
how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is
laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold,
silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear;
for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire
will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has
built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he
will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire." 1
Corinthians 3:10-15
It will be this awakened and aroused bride that arises to shine brightly during
these dark days. Isaiah 60:
"Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon
you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the
people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your
rising.
Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather together, they
come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed
at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell
with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of
the Gentiles shall come to you.
The multitude of camels shall cover your land,
the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come; they shall
bring gold and incense, and they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD. All the
flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall
minister to you; they shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, and I will
glorify the house of My glory.
Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts? Surely the
coastlands shall wait for Me; and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to
bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of
the LORD your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because He has glorified you.
The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister
to you; for in My wrath I struck you, but in My favor I have had mercy on you.
Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or
night that men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, and their kings in
procession. For the nation and Kingdom which will not serve you shall perish,
and those nations shall be utterly ruined.
The glory of Lebanon
shall come to you, the cypress, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify
the place of My sanctuary; and I will make the place of My feet glorious. Also
the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bowing to you, and all those who
despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; and they shall call
you The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Whereas you have been
forsaken and hated, so that no one went through you, I will make you an eternal
excellence, a joy of many generations. You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles,
and milk the breast of kings; you shall know that I, the LORD, am your Savior
and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
Instead of bronze I will bring gold, instead of iron I will bring silver,
instead of wood, bronze, and instead of stones, iron. I will also make your
officers peace, and your magistrates righteousness. Violence shall no longer be
heard in your land, neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you
shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise. God the Glory of His
People.
The sun shall no longer be your light by day, for for brightness shall the moon
give light to you; but the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, and your
God your glory. Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw
itself; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and the days of your
mourning shall be ended.
Also your people shall all be righteous; they shall
inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that
I may be glorified. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a
strong nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time."
PEOPLE OF PURITY WILL WALK IN POWER WITHOUT MEASURE
God is looking for a people that have pure hearts and no hidden agendas. When
He
finds them, He will release His powerful anointing, showing Himself strong and
potent through them (see 2 Chronicles 16:9). We are called to move in power and
awesome authority, establishing the King in His Kingdom. In order for this to
become a living reality, we must know more about the Kingdom of God and the God
of the Kingdom (see Daniel 11:32).
Only when we truly know who God is, as well
as who we are, can we be bold and confident in our conquest--to accomplish great
displays and perform exploits for the Kingdom of God.
