and throughout the USA and the World,

This is going to be a bit unusual as this email is constructed to be *specifically* for all of you --Those on Oregon, Washington, Great Northwest, all National and ALL International Intercession lists, PLUS those on the entire ELIJAH LIST (almost 80,000 of you) www.elijahlist.com  --- AND those of you who want to join with us in prayer along with one or more of the many intercession organizations listed below.

Right now, here in Oregon and Washington, we are preparing for an UNPRECEDENTED time of prayer and intercession for the Great Northwest Territory, which originally consisted of (especially Oregon and Washington) the largest part of the Oregon Territories.

We are entering into a very crucial and serious time for this area of our country.

Why do I say that, you may ask?

Serious dreams and visions by known prophets have called us to pray without ceasing for this area of Oregon and Washington beginning in the early Christmas Season and continuing into the following months.

First, a word from Chuck Pierce (and Dutch Sheets) about their 50-state Tour which also involves this CRUCIAL time in Oregon and Washington beginning with the early Christmas Season 2003/2004

"The vision for the 50 State Tour is to declare the redemptive plan over each state, and to call forth the resident anointing in the people of each state.

"Dutch Sheets and I both have a heart for revival for our nation. Last summer, I awakened one morning with an urgency to be in each one of the 50 states. The next time Dutch and I were ministering together, I brought this up and he had felt the same urgency the week before. We have both sensed a call from the Lord to travel to all 50 states to assist in gathering and advancing the prayer army in each state.

"We are calling this 'The 50 State Tour.'

"The purpose of these meetings is to gather together God's leadership, identify and draw together the intercessors of a state, and then align strategic intercession with apostolic, prophetic, and pastoral leadership.

(C) Why Are All the Prophets Coming to the Northwest These Days?

It was only recently -- in the last few years -- that I had continually heard it said, "Why are all the prophets seeming to stay in the East and in the South of the USA?"----  And yet now, almost "suddenly," I receive complaints (via the Elijah List) of, "Why are all the prophets coming only to the Northwest and why don't they come to the east or the South, etc?"

Of course, prophets aren't only coming to the Northwest. However, it may appear so, because so much attention by the Holy Spirit is focused here in Oregon, Washington, and the Great Northwest. 

But why?

Well, at the very least, we should say that at this time, and because of this new attention by the Holy Spirit, we want to do our part to call the Body of Christ, through the many and various local, national, and international intercession ministries (and lists) to come together (as opposed to acting separately) to answer this call to pray for the Great Northwest -- especially as we enter the season we are coming into.

This is startling to most. . . Oregon. . . or the "Oregon Trail" ended in Oregon City, Oregon....but it also ended in Vancouver, WA---at the famous Ft. Vancouver.  We, Southwest Washington (including Ft. Vancouver) and the State of Oregon, are inseparably tied. 

Many do not know that Fort Vancouver, of Vancouver, WA in the mid 1800's, was called "The New York of the West Coast," and it was the place most travelers from the East Cost and Midwest wanted to end up.

While Fort Vancouver is only a tiny tourist spot today (just over the River from Portland, Oregon, and also just over the Columbia River from Portland International Airport), it was "THE place" to arrive at from the East. The famous Dr. McLaughlin, while certainly not perfect, did not go along with his British overseers to discourage Americans from migrating west and ending up at Ft. Vancouver. 

There is also history that suggests that McLaughlin was kinder to the American Indian than most historical forts have a record of being.

"Fort Vancouver was the administrative headquarters and main supply depot for the Hudson's Bay Company's fur trading operations in the immense Columbia Department. Under the leadership of John McLaughlin, the fort became the center of political, cultural, and commercial activities in the PACIFIC NORTHWEST. When American immigrants arrived in Oregon Country during the 1830s and 1840s, Fort Vancouver [headed by Dr. McLaughlin] provided them with essential supplies to begin their new settlements." There is not-yet-revealed repentance overdue by all of those states who were formerly part of the Oregon Territories --- in that it was these (later named states), who originally used the name of OREGON (the end of the Oregon Trail) as the name of their place of settling.

Therefore, in many, if not most of what we now know as California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana--specific sins that were committed In Oregon (through many of these above-named states) need to be REMITTED at this time through our repentance HERE IN OREGON!

(E) Prayer Directives for Oregon and the "Oregon Territories" This Year


Steve Shultz, USSPN Oregon Coordinator:

 (1) That we embrace the issues of all the surrounding states which used to be called OREGON territories "as our own" such  that our repentance will be more complete.

 (2) That we call forth the prophets into this/these geographical areas of the Oregon Territories and ask them to help us identify that which we need repentance of and for.

 (3) That the Court Systems be purified as never before

 (4) That the Oregon and Washington, Christmas-time, 50-State Prayer events in Oregon and Washington will "bear much fruit" to protect our states.

 (5) That the entire West Coast and Northwest Areas, formerly known as the Oregon Territories will be free from Terrorist Attacks (as long as we do what God calls us to do)

 (6) That Native Tribes, which have been cursed by the "White man," and any/all immigrants, would be blessed and restored in the spiritual realm. And spiritually speaking, that their "land of inheritance" would be returned to them.

 (7) That all intercessors and intercession organizations, regardless of their name, would begin to work more closely with one another and with the apostles and prophets as they have paved much of the way for all of this to happen.

 (8) Oregon's "Death with Dignity" Law now takes pride that only 38 people chose to have their doctors help them die this year. Read this with amazement . . .

 Oregon Death with Dignity Act: fifth year report--from Oregon State, March 5, 2003

 (this below is from an Oregon State government report--see above link) . . .

"Thirty-eight persons used legal physician-assisted suicide in 2002, compared with 21 who did so in 2001, according to the fifth annual report of Oregon's experience with the Death With Dignity Act.

"The report, released today by the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS), contains demographics and characteristics of those who took lethal prescriptions last year. It also examines Oregon's experience since 1998, when the Death with Dignity Act went into effect. Findings are published in tomorrow's New England Journal of Medicine.

"Last year more people used the law, but most of the other findings are consistent with those of previous years," said Mel Kohn, M.D., state epidemiologist. "Although there was an increase from previous years, the number of deaths in 2002 was 0.1 percent of the total Oregon deaths for the year. Once again, the majority of participants were older, well educated and had cancer. As before, the primary reasons patients cited for choosing physician-assisted suicide were concerns about losing autonomy, a decreasing ability to participate in activities that make life enjoyable, and losing control of bodily functions."

-- End of State Government quote From: http://www.dhs.state.or.us/news/2003news/2003-0305.html saying only 38 people chose to have physician-assisted suicides in 2002, up only 17 deaths perpetrated by personal physicians in Oregon in just one year! In other words, doctors helped ONLY 17 more patients take their lives in 2002 than they help do so in 2001. If one does not expect this trend to continue to rise yearly, they haven't read the Word of God about the Love of many growing cold in the last days.-- Steve Shultz

Bonnie and Lon Mabon, from a cultural viewpoint:

1. The most important area of spiritual warfare is in the Judiciary [in Oregon]. There is massive corruption in the Oregon courts. Satan's hold over the courts and the whole institution of law needs to be broken.

Those few judges who may at some point have given their lives to the Lord, and any lawyers who, likewise, acknowledge God's authority, must also receive boldness from the Lord to proclaim the righteousness and justice of the jurisdiction of the one true Judge. If we, as a state and nation, do not declare and establish the jurisdiction of the authority of Christ over the courts, we will not prevail in any other area in our culture.

2. Those whom God has placed in authority in Church and State must be infused with boldness to proclaim His Covenant and Lordship. They must challenge the growing darkness in our culture, declaring and establishing Christ's authority -- even over government.

Spiritual needs in the Body of Christ

1. That we, God's "special" people, would repent of our luke-warmness and allow God through His Spirit to awaken our hearts to a greater commitment, both to the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God and His purposes.

2. That God's Spiritual leaders in Oregon would find the sanctifying power of God in the deepest part of their own hearts and lives, so they could bring the Body to that same point, for the work of the ministry in these last days, to bring God the most glory possible.

In March 2000, Oregon Aglow International did a random study of the strongholds and prayer needs of the state. Our theme was "Uniting Oregon in Prayer that they all may be one" from John 17:21.

It is believed that the name "Oregon" comes from the French word "ouragan" or "storm." In 1775 Bruno Hezeta discovered the mouth of the Columbia River. All early discoverers complained of both the strange and rough weather with thick fog. From the early 1800's on, there appeared to be confusion about both the climate and the identification of the territory name and boundaries. When the Spanish, Russian, and British entered into rivalry over the sea otter pelt trade, conflict was experienced between England and Spain at Nootka Sound.

When settlers poured into Oregon, divisiveness entered into the boundary and ownership issues of mapping and claiming land. The missionaries came in 1830 and there was much disagreement on how to save the Indians and how to farm.

Misconceptions and contradictions followed, along with a presumptuous tendency to "apply descriptions of parts of the region as if it were the whole."

Therefore much misleading information was published. In the fertile Willamette Valley, which Indians named "Valley of sickness," smallpox, tuberculosis and other sicknesses brought infirmity and death. Much disease, depression, broken covenants and treaties were a severe problem. Indians were very mistreated and misunderstood. Principal battles were fought in the Klamath mountains, and in Eastern Oregon, with massacres such as the Cayuse War of 1848.

Financial difficulties and rivalry have marked commerce since 1900. The greatest population growth took place in 1930 with a gain of 131% in 30 years. Land fraud became a problem on transfers of property from public domain to private settlement.

The highlighted words above are still the problems that need prayer in Oregon. Only around 10% of the population are considered Christians. Many church splits. Much alcoholism, drug abuse, domestic violence, teen pregnancy, teen suicide, and unemployment. World views and allegiances are New Age, humanism, cults. Witchcraft, pride, depression, apathy, independence, a religious spirit, prejudice and injustice are still problems.

Pray that the enemy strongholds over our state will be broken, and that the sovereign purposes of God will be fulfilled for all our cities and communities. Pray that God's people will unite in continuous and sustained prayer efforts until revival sweeps Oregon.
