A number of years ago, the Lord told me to watch Japan and learn its culture. I am seeing a reason why now. Have you noticed how calm they are under extreme devastation? This won't apply to every Japanese person, of course, but overall, as a culture, they have something to teach us about being calm in extreme and urgent circumstances.

Japan is a Go
Article dated March 18, 2011:
As of today, we are two weeks into this 21-day prayer project. And what a remarkable time in history to stand watch with the Lord.
A week ago, Japan was rocked by a tragic earthquake followed by a major tsunami. Though there are signs of hope, Japan is still teetering. Please, let's keep praying for the Lord to make a way through their nuclear crisis. Pray for emergency management personnel, for supernatural guidance by the Holy Spirit. Pray for loved ones to be reconnected throughout Japan.
Dawn's Early Light – Theme for 2011
We began the year with a focus on Dawn's Early Light. Japan is the "land of the rising sun." Prophetically, I believe God's eyes and heart are focused on Japan this year. A night season is coming that we will need to persevere through, and how, if we continue to stand through the challenges of this night season, Dawn's Early Light will begin to shine.
As Luke recorded, "The Sunrise (Dawn's Early Light) from on high will visit us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death" (Luke 1:78-79).
11: Number of Transition
This night season for Japan, beginning on March 11, has been devastating. The number 11 denotes transition. This can best be seen in Jesus' words about Lazarus:
"Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep, but I go that I may awaken him from slumber." –John 11:11
Note that Lazarus was dead at the time. But there was an intention in Jesus' heart that not even His disciples knew. He was going to bring His friend back to life!
Beloved, I believe this is the intention of Jesus' heart regarding the great nation of Japan. He calls Japan His friend, and He is arising now to awaken her – to bring her back to life.
"Tokyo is a Go"
I'll never forget an obscure prophecy a friend gave me more than a decade ago. She said simply, "Tokyo is a go." Until that time I had never really prayed for Japan. But through the years, the Holy Spirit would quicken that phrase to me again and again. I believe the Lord is now saying, "Tokyo is a Go" related to a move of Holy Spirit awakening and restoration.
The Land of the Rising Son
Let's continue to pray for the people of Japan. Pray for a surge of Holy Spirit power to bring reformation, restoration and hope. Pray for Jesus Christ to be made famous as the Healer of their land and people. I believe that through this transition, Japan will become known as "The Land of the Rising Son!"
