"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27 NIV)
The Eye of a Hurricane
Hurricanes are ranked as one of the strongest forces of nature known to man. They carry some of the highest sustained wind speeds, cover hundreds of miles, and cause massive damage once they reach land. Both air and sea traffic avoid these storms at all costs. These storms command the highest respect from those who have experienced the sight and sheer power of these forces of nature.
Yet, interestingly, these storms do have a very peaceful part. It is located in the center, or the eye of the storm. Here, it is calm. Here, it is clear enough to see the blue skies above. If it were humanly possible to travel in the eye of a hurricane, you would witness the raging storm on every horizon around you, yet be surrounded in perfect calmness and peace. Let us all take to heart this prophetic picture as we hear from the Lord today.
Lean Into Me
I hear the Lord saying today, "Lean into Me. Look to Me and lean into Me," says the Lord. "Yea, the nations are raging and the storm is on the horizon. Lean into My perfect peace, for it passes all understanding. This peace is being extended to you, so lean in and receive My peace."
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13 NIV)
Greater Clarity and Revelation
The Lord says, "Even as the eagle spreads its wings to soar to great heights, so I call you also to rise and soar above the storm. From this higher vantage point, you will see with greater clarity and revelation.
"Do not make decisions on the foundation of fear or misguided emotions. Be led by My Spirit in all things! Resist the spirit of fear, and move in faith as you hear My voice in the midst of the sifting, shifting, and shaking. I will lead you to the spoils and hidden treasures in this time!" "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT)
Let Your Light Shine
"Many will look to you for answers in a day and hour where there appears to be none," says the Lord. "As the shaking continues and the darkness on the earth increases, My light inside you will shine brighter and brighter! You will release hope to the hopeless and be a shade tree of refuge for many. I have called you for such a time as this!"
Your Full Identity
"It is time for My sons and daughters to rise up in the fullness of their God-given identity. The Greater One is inside of you! The light is inside of you! Do not shrink back in this hour but receive My perfect peace. As you walk in My supernatural peace that passes all earthly understanding, you will release this peace to those who are hurting, broken, and searching for answers. Truly, the fields are ripe for harvest!"
"Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, then comes the harvest'? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest." (John 4:35 ESV)
Let Faith and Hope Arise, for I am with You
"Throughout the course of time, I have been with My chosen people. I have kept them in My great and mighty hand, and I will do the same for you! Do not allow the raging of the nations to shake this confidence that I am with you," says the Lord! "Receive and walk in My perfect peace even in the eye of the storm. Strengthen your faith in these promises that I am the Lord, and I will take care of you," says the Lord of hosts.
"I am the Lord who can and will cause My people to prosper even in a time of drought or hardness (see Deuteronomy 30:8–9).
"I am the Lord who can and will lead My people with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (see Exodus 13:21).
"I am the Lord who can and will make a way in the wilderness (see Isaiah 43:19).
"I am the Lord who can and will protect and spare My people (see Psalm 91).
"I am the Lord who can and will cause your way to be clear (see Proverbs 3:6)."
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you." (Isaiah 60:1 NIV)
"The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God." (Romans 8:19 BSB)
