Veronika West: I Will Rain Bread From Heaven

Word of the Lord released on October 21, 2026:

A Supernatural Occurrence

I want to share something rather unusual yet, I believe, incredibly supernatural that happened on October 14, 2026. As I was sitting in traffic at a red light, suddenly and quite literally, a large piece of bread (a half loaf to be precise) fell from above and landed directly onto the bonnet of my car!

Well, as you can imagine, this was unexpected, and even the driver in the car opposite mine looked stunned. And while I suspect a seagull or a pretty big bird must have dropped it as it flew overhead, it was not just the fact that half a loaf of bread literally fell from the sky but the precise location where it had happened that suddenly "hit" me!

Almost exactly one year earlier, I had been sitting at that very same place when the Lord also gave me a supernatural sign concerning a situation within my family. And within weeks of that sign, the word of the Lord behind the sign dramatically came to pass, exactly as He had shown it would!

So there I was again, sitting at the same place, at the same red light, but almost exactly one year later, when a half loaf of bread fell from above and landed right in front of me! Ha! The light turned green, I drove, and I watched as the half loaf of bread slid off the bonnet of the car...

Immediately I began to pray, and the Spirit of Revelation started to draw my attention to the significance of this strange yet poignant encounter, which I knew by the Spirit was speaking to me personally but was also speaking concerning the wider Body of Christ.

Bread from Heaven and the Hidden Manna!

First, the Holy Spirit, as He so often does, drew my attention to the date: October 14, 2026. Adding the numbers of the day (14) together equals five (1+4 = 5). The number five signifies grace! And if you take the full date (10/14/2026) and add the numbers together, it equals sixteen (1+0+1+4+2+0+2+6 = 16). From there, if you add the numbers in sixteen together, you get seven (1+6 = 7). The number seven symbolizes completion, fullness, and rest!

Suddenly, the Holy Spirit quickened to my mind the miracle of the five (5) loaves and two (2) fish (John 6:9). If you add two and five together, you get seven (5 + 2 = 7)!

"There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?" (John 6:9 KJV)

Immediately my attention was drawn to what that young lad was carrying, a small meal, yet in the hands of Jesus it would feed a multitude! Some of you have been looking at what is in your hands and asking that very same question: "What is this among so many?" The need seems overwhelming and what you have appears so small and maybe (in your opinion) insignificant, but I submit: do not dismiss what the Lord has already placed in your hands. Bring it to Him, even as you are still wondering how it could possibly be enough.

Jesus took the bread and gave thanks! Before the multitude had eaten, before the twelve baskets were filled with what remained (leftovers), He gave thanks for what was there!

I hear the Spirit saying, "Surrender and thanksgiving are keys to your next multiplication miracle!"

Now as I continued to pray concerning the bread, I heard the Spirit say, "Watch! For there shall be many miracles of multiplication, and beyond these. You shall see a multiplication of greater miracles, signs, and wonders in the days to come!" (Photo via Pexels)

Now notice how this reaches beyond the multiplication of bread! The Lord is saying an increase of His supernatural works among His people is coming in the days ahead—a multiplication of miracles! And we are going to see this dimension of supernatural multiplication become increasingly significant in the Kingdom assignments God has entrusted to His people as we advance.

Some of you may already be standing before needs that far exceed your resources, yet the Lord is giving us clear instruction and direction: Bring what you have to Him. Let Him break and bless it and bring supernatural multiplication to it!

The Healing of Broken Hearts

Now, as I looked again at the five (5) and seven (7), I was drawn to Isaiah 57—a powerful chapter that speaks of removing the stumbling blocks from the path of God's people and of the Lord dwelling with those who are of a contrite and humble spirit. Look at His promise: "I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners" (Isaiah 57:18 KJV).

Now I submit that this speaks powerfully of many within the remnant who have come through prolonged seasons of warfare—those who have continued to stand in faith, even while carrying the pain of tremendous loss. The Lord has seen what the battle has cost you, as some of you are still mourning things you have never been able to put into words, while others of you have continued to minister to those around you while desperately needing to be strengthened yourselves.

The Exodus Dynamic

As I continue to pray concerning the sudden manifestation of bread, I submit that this promise of healing and restored comfort in Isaiah 57 is deeply significant for this hour. Only God knows where His people need to be nourished again. He knows what is needed to restore hope and strength for the journey that is still before them.

The Spirit of Revelation drew my attention back again to the full date: October 14, 2026. The full date gives us sixteen (1+0+1+4+2+0+2+6 = 16), and the day the bread fell on my car hood was on the fourteenth (14)—Exodus 16:14!

"And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar [white] frost on the ground." (Exodus 16:14 KJV, brackets mine)

This was the first appearance of manna upon the ground in the wilderness. And look at what the Lord had already promised earlier: "Behold, I will rain bread from Heaven for you" (Exodus 16:4)! And I submit, as I followed these Scriptures, a prophetic timeline began to unfold through the journey of Israel in what I can only describe as "The Exodus Dynamic."

In Exodus 12, Israel comes out of Egypt through the blood of the Passover Lamb. Exodus 14 brings them through the Red Sea. And then in Exodus 15, they come to the bitter waters of Marah, where the Lord reveals Himself as their Healer. Then in Exodus 16, He rains on them bread from Heaven!

Now, what struck me was where the bread fell within that journey. They had been delivered from Egypt, but they had not yet entered the Promised Land, and God was feeding them while they were still walking towards what He had promised.

I hear the Spirit say, "Watch, for I will rain bread from Heaven for you in the coming days!"

There are many who will recognize themselves in this place, too. You have obeyed the Lord in coming out. You have watched Him make a way where there was no way, and yet you are still waiting to enter into the fullness of what He has spoken. Do not lose heart, but look again. The bread fell in the wilderness! (Photo via Pexels)

His provision was already reaching them in the place between deliverance and the promised inheritance. Now as I continued to pray, the significance of the bread began to take me deeper. The Holy Spirit took me to Deuteronomy 8:3, which tells us why the Lord fed Israel with manna, "that He might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live" (KJV).

There was something they were coming to know about God in that wilderness that they had not known in Egypt. They were learning to live by what came from His mouth. This is where the Spirit of Revelation began to show me the significance of the hidden manna for the remnant in this hour.

"To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna." (Revelation 2:17 KJV)

Take note to whom this promise is given: the overcomer! These words were spoken to a remnant facing the unrelenting pressures of idolatry and compromise, and right there, in the midst of that confrontation, Christ gave a promise concerning the hidden manna.

This brings me to the heart of why I believe the Lord orchestrated this strange encounter, and why I have continued to pray over the timing of it.

Why Bread... and Why Now?

Listen! As the pressures, trouble, and turmoil rise and continue to increase across the nations, the remnant must know what it is to be totally dependent and fully sustained by Christ Himself. There are depths within His Word that He will open to His people as they seek His face, and the Word of God will suddenly come alive with supernatural revelation, wisdom, and understanding that many have not previously possessed.

What will be released and revealed "for such a time as this" will carry supernatural strength and nourishment that will be vital for the very season we are now walking into. We know that we cannot keep living on or drawing from what someone else has received from Him. There must be a pursuit and going higher; there must be a greater level of ascension to receive the fresh bread and oil of Heaven.

And I hear the Spirit say, "I am the Bread of Life... he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst" (John 6:35 KJV).

He Is the Living Bread of Heaven!

The hidden manna brings us back to Him—to communion with Him, and to the sustaining power of His living Word.

Now look at the road to Emmaus. This is where Jesus met with the two grieving disciples and opened the Scriptures to them. But it wasn't until the breaking of bread that their eyes were opened and they recognized Him (Luke 24:30–35)! And I submit, as the Lord opens His Word to His remnant, there will come a fresh recognition of Christ in the midst of the journey. Some will suddenly see and through experiential knowledge come to know just how near He has been, even where sorrow or pain had clouded their sight.

And this is why the prophetic emphasis of this encounter rests so strongly upon the bread. I see the Spirit of the Lord wooing and drawing His people into a deeper knowing of the only true source, who can and will sustain them through what lies ahead.

God's Provision of Bread for Us Becomes a Testimony of Bread for Others

Then I was reminded of the story of Elijah and the ravens, and of course this particularly caught my attention, because of the possibility that a bird had dropped the bread onto my car: "And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook" (1 Kings 17:6 KJV). Bread and meat were carried by ravens to a prophet hidden by the brook during a time of drought! (Photo via Pexels)

But the drought and famine that ravaged the nation and that surrounded Elijah could not prevent the supernatural provision God had commanded: "I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there" (1 Kings 17:4 KJV, emphasis mine). The word "there" caught my attention. There is a specific place where the bread and meat would reach him.

As I looked again at this Scripture, I was reminded of the precise geographical location where the bread had fallen onto my car, the place where the Lord had spoken before, and where His Word had subsequently come to pass so powerfully. God's provision will always meet us "there"—right where and when we need it—nothing missing, nothing lacking!

We know that Elijah's brook dried up and the word of the Lord directed him to Zarephath, where another miracle of supernatural provision would unfold. Yes! The way and the means through which Elijah had been sustained suddenly changed, but God faithfully continued to feed His prophet.

At Zarephath, the place of purification, the miracle reached into a widow's household. Elijah carried the word of the Lord concerning the flour and oil, and a woman preparing her last meal saw her household supernaturally sustained throughout the famine (1 Kings 17:8–16).

Listen! Pay close attention, for what God is teaching some of you in this hidden place will become vital to others. You are receiving bread now. And in the days ahead, you will carry a testimony that strengthens the faith of those facing their own impossible need. We will need to remember this in the days to come when familiar sources begin to dry up suddenly, unexpectedly, and in strange ways, and when doors we relied on before begin to close.

So, let's keep listening to the One who has supernaturally sustained us, as His next instruction may lead us to a place we would never have chosen for ourselves. But God has already made the way clear and secured the provision.

Exodus 16 Manna

Now back to the manna in Exodus 16. There was a daily gathering of the manna, as they could not gather just once and live on that alone. Each morning they had to go out again and gather the manna for that day. We read that when some tried to keep the manna overnight against the Lord's instruction, it bred worms, yet the portion He had commanded for them to keep for the Sabbath was preserved. Even the keeping of the bread was subject to His word that brought supernatural preservation.

I submit, there is something here we must carry with us as we advance along this prophetic timeline. We need to remain awake, sharp, and always attentive to what the Lord is saying now, allowing Him to teach us how to receive and steward what He is placing before us. But there was also manna He commanded them to keep for the generations to come as a testimony of how He had fed His people in the wilderness (Exodus 16:32–34)!

Some of the miracles of provision coming to your household will be spoken of by your children! They must know how the Lord sustained you and how His word proved faithful when there seemed to be no way forward! So, as the bread/manna comes, remember the word behind the sign, as there is a generation coming after you that will need to hear what God has done!
