A Prophetic Pivot Point
On Friday, September 11, at sundown, we cross over into Rosh Hashanah—the head of the year—entering the first day of Tishri, which is the first month on the Hebrew civil calendar and the seventh month on the religious calendar. We will step into the Hebrew year 5787. This moment is not just a date change; it is a major prophetic pivot point. We will remain in the 80s decade, the decade of peh or the mouth, where what we speak, decree, and proclaim is shaping our reality. We will then add to that concept the number seven in 5787, represented by the Hebrew letter zayin. Zayin is the seventh letter in the Hebraic alphabet. It is tied to completion and Shabbat rest, but it is also shaped like a weapon, signifying that this year is about rest as our strategic, weaponized position.
In 5786, which was marked by the letter vav (6), the Lord emphasized dominion and the connection of Heaven to earth, bringing Genesis 1:26–28 back into focus: "Be fruitful," "multiply," "replenish," "subdue," and "have dominion" (KJV). We labored, contended, built, and aligned in 5786.
Shifting to Dominion Through Rest
Now, in 5787, the Lord is shifting us from dominion through effort into dominion through rest in His righteousness. This is not permission to be passive; it is a divine summons to cease from self-driven striving for our own provision, protection, and acceptance, and instead to let our souls come into a Psalm 23 rest: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures... He restores my soul... He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake" (vv. 1–3 NKJV). As we enter this head of the year, the Lord is calling His people into a deep soul rest in the finished work of Jesus, and from that place of rest, He will sharpen us as His weapons of righteousness.
This means that in 5787, we will not be inactive, but we will be moving differently. Just as Jesus went into the wilderness to pray and then emerged in greater power and clarity, so too is the Body of Christ moving from a season of shaking and purification into a season of righteous, rested authority. We have been through testing, warfare, and shaking, but now the Lord is saying, "You have been forged. You are becoming the righteousness of God in Christ, and I am sending you out from a place of rest." (Photo via Unsplash)
Second Corinthians 5:21 reads, "For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him" (KJV). We will step more fully into being the hands and feet of Christ. We will be doing what Jesus did in Scripture. We will heal the sick, confront darkness, and preach the Kingdom, but from a place of inner rest, not inner turmoil.
The Weapons of Our Warfare Are Rest and Righteousness
Our weapons of warfare in this season are rest and righteousness, and this resting is forged in what Jesus has already accomplished. This level of righteousness is a standard that exposes and confronts evil. The nature of evil is to cause us to toil in our lack and to fear death. However, in this "light of zayin rest," the seven blessings of Joel 2:23–32 are being re-framed for 5787. The Lord is releasing a double portion, but now it is double in rest and righteousness—which is pure, covenantal, and rightly aligned in restoration, and then doubled.
Financial abundance is coming as righteous wealth tied to Kingdom assignments, not as mammon or because of fear. Restoration will include a complete reset into righteous order, returning people, callings, and territories to their original God-intended design.
Miracles will not only comfort but will also establish righteous order and confront injustice, becoming judicial acts of God in the earth. God's divine presence will be experienced as a deep Shabbat for the soul, and that very presence will function as our "zayin weapon," going ahead of us and fighting battles we no longer need to strive in.
Sons and daughters, both natural and spiritual, will be marked as a righteous generation, emerging as bold, pure, prophetic voices who carry this weaponized rest. And as all who call on the name of the Lord are saved, we will see a true righteous revival, where repentance, holiness, and courage mark the Church, and whole nations begin to shift toward sheep-nation status. Reframing Circumstances with a Righteous Resolve
All of this is being highlighted in a dramatic way by the fact that this Rosh Hashanah—this head of the year, 5787—falls on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, which is twenty-five years (5×5, grace upon grace) from a day of national trauma. Prophetically, this is a reframing of 9/11, from a memorial primarily of destruction and fear to a marker of righteous resolve. The Lord is calling His people to stand for righteousness and against global terrorism, evil, and oppression; not from a place of reaction, vengeance, or lingering trauma, but from rest in Christ, clean motives, and covenantal authority. As the righteous rise in their restful place of fullness in Christ, we will dismantle the strongholds of the enemy over the nations.
I personally have experienced this righteous upheaval in nations I have ministered in worldwide. The time is now, and Believers are rising up against injustice, refusing fraudulent outcomes, praying fervently for unity, and interceding for persecuted Believers and oppressed nations. This is part of the righteous revival beginning now. God is using 5787 as the on-ramp to a thirteen-year birthing corridor from 5787 to 5800.
I believe that in 5787, we will move from rest to righteousness. In 5788, we will see new beginnings in righteousness. In 5789, we will experience the fruitfulness of righteousness. And the 5790s will be an entire decade of the fullness of tzedeq (righteousness), where righteousness and prosperity will become the defining theme of the era. And nations will be discipled, mountains of culture will be reformed, and the earth will be increasingly prepared for the return of the Lord.
So as we enter Friday, September 11, at sundown, into the 1st of Tishri, we will not just be turning a page; we will be stepping into a new prophetic chapter, where rest will become our weapon, righteousness will become our banner, and a global, righteous revival will be birthed that stands boldly against terrorism and evil. As Christians worldwide blow the trumpet in Zion, we will be preparing nations for the King of Righteousness.
I would like to declare that in 5787 your soul will enter the rest of God, and from that rest you will receive the weapon of righteousness to stand against all evil in this generation. I decree that the seven blessings of Joel 2—which include a double portion, financial abundance, restoration, miracles, divine presence, blessing on sons and daughters, and salvation—shall manifest in your life and family in pure righteousness. I decree that this head of the year will mark a turning point, where fear, trauma, and striving will break, and you will step into righteous and rested authority to partner with God in this global, righteous revival.
