Our Call to Minister the Life of Christ
Our walk as Believers is not, first and foremost, about joining a church. At salvation, we are joined to Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:17). Christ is the head of the Body of Christ which is the Church (Colossians 1:18). Christ is the temple (John 2:19–21). He is all in all. The measure of Christ's hold on a Believer is the measure of glory they will experience and the measure by which they will fulfill their divine purpose and destiny.
We are called to minister the life of Christ in all we do, releasing and imparting His life to others. In order to do that, it requires a living, authentic relationship with Him—divine union and communion, grounded in knowing Christ intimately. It is a supernatural connection to His being that enables us to minister His life to others.
The measure to which God is Lord and governs a life is the measure to which His life will be imparted. We need a great deposit of Christ in this hour of history. To try to emulate Christ or become like Him through human effort is futile. No one can be like Christ, for He is God. Only Christ can be Christ.
Christ-likeness comes from the indwelling Christ conforming us to His image as we walk with Him through continual death and resurrection. Christ-likeness in us comes from the indwelling Christ transforming and renewing our minds in an atmosphere of intimate relationship, cultivated through continual death and resurrection.
The enemy is not opposed to religion. He is opposed to Christ. Wherever Christ manifests authentically, there will be warfare. However, the life of Christ in us is indestructible, as Hebrews 7:16 declares. It is indestructible and unshakable. Psalm 46:5 says, "God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved" (ESV). Nothing can stand against the Lord. Nothing can stop Him. Nothing can resist Him.
Possessing the Fullness of His Treasures
Scripture tells us that Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit without measure. The filling of the Spirit is an ongoing process as we learn to yield and surrender our wills to Him. As we do, He occupies more territory within us. Taking the "promised land" is the work of the Holy Spirit. He first takes territory in our own lives, increasing His measure and securing a position for Christ. In partnership with the Holy Spirit, we can then take territory elsewhere. The Lord Jesus is the true Land of Promise, in whom every treasure and resource is found. If Christ dwells in us in fullness, we possess the fullness of His treasures. (Photo via Unsplash)
We carry within us the treasures of His being, accessible by faith. James tells us that in unbelief we receive nothing, so it is important to position ourselves to receive by taking a stance of faith. In Christ are unsearchable riches, resources, and wealth. It therefore becomes essential to learn to ascend to our seat in the heavenly realms, to go up and possess. We claim our inheritance by faith and begin to live the resurrected life.
Time to Receive Our Inheritance
Scripture reminds us that there is a time for everything, and a time for every purpose under Heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1). There is a time to grow up, a time to receive, and a time to receive the inheritance reserved for us:
"Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set. And that's the way it was with us before Christ came." (Galatians 4:1–3 NLT)
I believe this is the season to take up by faith the fullness of our inheritance. Jesus is the fullness of God, and every need is met in Him. It's time to step into the promises, from the wilderness into the land of promise, trusting that God is working all things out for our benefit.
The hour has come to rise to the power of Christ's indestructible life. No longer defined by the wilderness, we are called to live from the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, claiming by faith every resource of His Kingdom. We enter the "procession of the resurrected," not by merely surviving history but advancing as the corporate expression of Christ until all things are summed up in Him.
Shifting Our Focus to God's Kingdom Issues
The world may be approaching a period of growing unrest. It's time to shift focus from our soul issues to God's Kingdom issues. The Bride is being called to leave her dressing room, to put on her Kingdom robes and mantle of glory, and to be dressed for a season of confrontation. It is time to put on our army boots and move out. The focus is now on taking territory and occupying land for the Kingdom. God is calling His apostolic saints to arise, take their place, and advance His purposes. Whatever still needs healing will be addressed as we go. (Photo via Unsplash)
It's important for the Bride to now adopt a mindset of courage, strength, and the fear of the Lord. It is time to stand our ground and occupy, for we are being called to build something divine and supernatural as we wield God's mighty weapons.
The shaking in the world is intensifying. However, it is God who is doing the shaking, not the enemy. God is removing everything that can be shaken, all mixture, corruption, and iniquity—everything that offends Him and His righteousness. He is bringing forth His latter house of glory, prepared for Christ.
"'I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the Lord of hosts. 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts. 'The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts. 'And in this place I will give peace,' says the Lord of hosts." (Haggai 2:7–9 NKJV)
We have entered a season marked by the resurrection life of Christ manifesting in His people... The Lord says, "Now rise, and take your place as a royal son or daughter." This is the hour to apprehend the unsearchable riches of Christ in a new way, as all things move toward their summation in Him.
