     Dear ElijahStreams Family,
     What if God spoke audibly to you...
     What if He told you to pack up your spouse and children and move seven hours away to a place you'd never even heard of? And before you made the decision, you discovered there wasn't a single source of clean water.
     Would you go?
     "God spoke audibly to me and told me to move."
     That's how the conversation started. I was sitting with a pastor in Uganda when he began telling me his story. God had spoken to him and told him to move to another village. Seven hours away. No explanation. Just the name of a place he'd never heard before.
     His name is Moses.
     Now, I want you to understand what that kind of obedience costs in Uganda. You don't rent a moving truck. You pack everything you can carry into a few bags, put your wife and children on a crowded bus, and leave behind everything familiar.
     That's exactly what Moses did. He left his church...his family...his children's schools...even the clean water they'd always depended on. Because God said, "Go."
     When he finally arrived, he discovered the mountain where God had sent him was known throughout Uganda as a place where witch doctors train other witch doctors. I had never heard of anything like that before.
     Then came something that somehow hit me just as hard. There wasn't a single source of clean water. Moses told me his children carried home dark, gritty water covered in algae every single day. The kind of water you wouldn't even want your own children to touch. But they had no choice.
     As I sat there listening, another part of the story came out. Two pastors had already tried planting churches there. Both eventually left. The darkness. The discouragement. The spiritual warfare. It simply became too much.
But Moses stayed.
     He shared the Gospel every chance he got. Two converts. Maybe three. After months of this, he invited everyone he knew to come pray and fast with him and believe God for breakthrough.
     One person came. Just one.
     Finally I asked him, "Moses...didn't you ever get discouraged?"
     I honestly expected him to say yes. Instead he looked at me almost as if I had asked an odd question.
     "No." Just... "No."
     I remember sitting there thinking...how is that even possible?
     Then I realized something. Moses wasn't staying because ministry was working. He was staying because God had spoken.
     Honestly, when I traveled to Uganda this time, I thought I was simply collecting stories to bring back to you. Instead, I felt like God was placing an opportunity right in front of us. Because while Moses has faithfully obeyed God's call...every morning families in that village are still drinking dirty water.
     I couldn't stop thinking...what if our
ElijahStreams family could change that?
     Would you prayerfully consider helping us drill a clean water well for Moses' village?
     I don't know who God will use to answer prayers that have been prayed on that mountain for years. But I do know this. God brought Moses' story into my life. Now I've shared it with you. And maybe...just maybe...He's inviting us to become part of what He does next.
