The Enemy Has Overplayed His Hand
I was in worship when I heard these words: "The enemy overplayed his hand against you..."
He overplayed his hand when he sent people to slander you and oppose you ferociously for years; when he targeted your marriage relentlessly for years, creating division, strife, and discord; when he constantly warred against your home, attacking the peace of your home, and went after your children; when he released lies, accusations, saboteurs, and people to war against you.
He overplayed his hand when he shut those doors of opportunity and tried to block you from the path and calling for your life; when he sent the betrayers—the Absaloms that would undermine you, steal your mantle to make it their own, and usurp your assignment; when he sent Jezebel to muzzle you, shut down your voice, and send you running out of the city that God called you to.
He overplayed his hand when he surrounded you with a multifaceted attack on your character and sent the identity assassination to break you down and cause you to run; when he came against your mind, triggering old insecurities and fears, and tried to bring up old dead things from the past; when he tried to kill you and take you out with sickness and problems in order to deplete you, exhaust you, and crash you—body, mind, and soul. He overplayed his hand when he tried to intimidate you and make you feel small in a place you were anointed to occupy; when he robbed you, depleted your bank accounts, stole your fruit and everything you'd been working for and toward for years; when he delayed you, frustrated you by sending irritations, people to wear you down, and discourage you from building what you were called to build; when he tried to make you think that God had abandoned you, left you for dead, and that your best days were over. When he thought that all of these tactics would be the last nail in the coffin... all it did was raise up a dead man.
You Leveled Up!
All of those experiences brought you to the place of death to yourself, and your spirit man came back fighting. Those circumstances pushed you into the corner and weaponized you. They revealed the enemy's agenda and caused you to clean house, to stock-take your friends and alignments—what you were putting your time and effort into, what you were sowing into; what you were partnering with, agreeing with, and vowing to.
All those situations caused you to level up! They caused those seeds to fall to the ground and die so that resurrection could come. Something has grown in the dark. Something has grown in the midnight hours.
Divine Restitution
I hear the Lord saying, "You're in a season of divine restitution. For all the years of warfare, for all the years of assassination, you are in a season of divine restitution."
For every word curse that's been spoken, every familiar spirit that's been sent, every monitoring spirit that has been sent out to chase you—to surveil you—divine restitution is here. For every word of betrayal, slander, and "Absalom" that's been sent to you—divine restitution. For every time you've been shut down, muzzled, robbed in every area of your life—divine restitution. Just as David arrived at Ziklag and saw the robbery of the enemy but chose to strengthen himself in the Lord, so you have chosen the same heart posture. Because of that heart posture, God told David to go and recover all. It was a divine restitution moment after the enemy had overplayed his hand. I feel this same divine moment upon us.
The Turning of the Tide
I prophesy this over your July: This month begins the turning back of the tide of so much injustice that has been against you, in Jesus' name. God is turning it back.
I hear the Lord saying, "Watch now as I exonerate you! This is a season where I'm going to settle the score. I'm going to reveal, even publicly, My heart and My favor upon you where you've been slandered and wrongfully accused.
"I will turn back their words, and I will make them eat their words. But this is an hour where I'm going to settle the score. Divine restitution and recompense will come upon you and restore you to your post."
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." (Genesis 50:20 NIV)
