Dr. Sandie Freed: The Season to Call Forth Your Harvest

Dr. Sandie Freed, Bedford, TX

Heaven Came to Earth Through Christ

Over the years, there has been much teaching concerning sowing and reaping. We have heard many anointed ministers teach on the Biblical principle of reaping a harvest from the seeds we have sown. Yet there are also appointed seasons when God shifts us into a time of actively harvesting what has already been planted through prayer, obedience, faithfulness, and sacrifice.

If you have been believing for breakthrough in the areas of finances, blessing, healing, restoration, or destiny, stay with me. I believe this message will not only encourage you but also awaken you to the importance of becoming intentional and bold about reaping your harvest.

Last September, the Lord began speaking to me concerning the Jewish New Year 5786. Many prophetic voices were emphasizing that this would be a year of connecting Heaven to earth—a season in which Heaven's purposes would be established more fully in our lives as we align ourselves with God's promises and prophetic calling.

For those who follow the Hebraic calendar, you know we are still in the decade of "pey." This ten-year cycle began with the Hebraic year 5780 and continues through 5789. On our Gregorian calendar, that period spans the years 2020 through 2029. We are still very much under the influence and prophetic significance of this season. So, what does this mean for us now?

It means that the year 5786 carries the weight and mandate of the number six, represented by the Hebrew letter "vav," which is deeply significant, prophetically and messianically. Six is the number associated with man, and Jesus often referred to Himself as the "Son of Man." In this season, we are reminded again that Heaven came to earth through Christ, and now, through Him, we have access to Heaven's promises.

The Vav: Heaven Connected to Earth

The Hebrew symbol for six, "vav," is drawn like a tent peg or hook. The ancient Hebrews believed this symbol represented the point of connection between Heaven and earth. What a beautiful picture.

Jesus instructed His disciples to pray: "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven" (Matthew 6:10 KJV). That is still our mandate today. We are called to pray Heaven into earth's situations. As we pray in faith, we are "hooking" into Heaven and pulling God's promises into manifestation. Take a moment and picture that. We are in a season to hook into Heaven's blessings—to hook into destiny, to hook into prophetic promises, to hook into everything God desires to release into our lives. (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)

Like a tent peg driven deeply into the ground, we must anchor ourselves in faith and secure every promise God has spoken over us. We must refuse to let discouragement uproot what God has planted within us. Listen, this is not the season to shrink back. This is a season to step fully into the destiny God has prepared.

The Decade of Pey—the Mouth Speaks

But there is even more to understand about this season. The number eighty is represented by the Hebrew letter "pey," which symbolizes the mouth. Because of this, the entire decade of the 80s is prophetically connected to declaration, decrees, and speaking forth what God has spoken. We are living in a time where our words matter deeply.

This is a season to declare breakthrough, to proclaim healing, to speak restoration, to call forth provision; to decree freedom, salvation, and blessing over our homes, cities, nations, and families.

In the previous decade—the 70s—the emphasis was on the eye. God was opening our spiritual vision. He was teaching His people to see more clearly into the unseen realm, to discern His voice, and to recognize what needed healing, repentance, and restoration.

For years, many of us have seen the promises. We have also seen the need and seen the breakthrough in our spirits before it manifested naturally. But now what we have seen must become what we declare. Faith was never meant to remain silent.

Enlarge Your Tent

One of the prophetic passages connected to this season is Isaiah 54:2: "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide" (NIV).

When I think of a tent, I think of making room. The longer you stay in one place, the more space you need. Eventually the tent must be stretched outward, and once stretched, it must be secured with tent pegs. That is exactly what the Lord is saying to His people right now: Make room for increase. Prepare for expansion. Prepare for influence. Prepare for answered prayer. Prepare for harvest. (Photo via Flickr)

Many have carried promises in their hearts for years. You have prayed. You have sown. You have believed while enduring difficult seasons. And now the Lord is saying, "Stretch your expectation again." Do not let disappointment keep you small. Stretch your faith. Stretch your vision. Stretch your hope. Then secure those promises with declarations rooted in God's Word.

Call Forth Your Harvest

There are seasons when we must actively call forth the harvest, and I believe this is one of them.

As I write this, I strongly sense that many Believers need to be reminded that faith is not passive. Scripture repeatedly teaches us about the power of speaking in agreement with God. Yes, we sow. Yes, we pray. Yes, we wait in faith. But there also comes a time to stand boldly and declare, "My harvest is coming forth!"

Sometimes the waiting becomes the hardest part. Weariness can settle in. Disappointment can whisper that nothing is changing. But, beloved, if you have faithfully sown in obedience, your harvest has not been forgotten by God. You are due for breakthrough.

The Lord delights in blessing His children. Scripture teaches us that when we give with sincere and grateful hearts, Heaven responds. We should never sow from manipulation, pressure, or selfish ambition. We sow because we love God, because we desire to advance His Kingdom, and because generosity reflects His heart.

God is good. His mercy endures forever. And He is faithful to multiply what is surrendered to Him in faith. Luke 6:38 (ASV) reminds us, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over..." What a promise.

Become a Sower and a Reaper

Many misunderstand the principles of sowing and reaping. Some believe that once the seed is planted, all they must do is sit back and wait for God to handle the rest. But while God gives the increase, we are still called to reap the harvest.

I once heard Kenneth Copeland say, "You must become a sower and a mower." There is wisdom in that statement. A farmer who never gathers the harvest will eventually lose it in the field. In the same way, Believers must learn to become spiritually aggressive concerning the promises of God. Do not leave your harvest lying in the field. Call it in. Pray boldly. Declare God's Word over your life. Refuse to surrender to discouragement. (Photo via Pexels)

Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (NIV).

Notice the condition: If we do not give up. So, rise up in faith and declare, "I am not only a good giver, I am also a good reaper." This is your season to decree and declare. Your mouth has been anointed by God to call forth your harvest. Do not stay silent in a season designed for declaration.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being the Lord of the harvest and for every seed that has been sown in faith, obedience, sacrifice, and love. Thank You that Your Word never returns void and that every promise You have spoken over our lives will come to pass in Your perfect timing.

Lord, in this season, awaken our hearts to believe again. Strengthen those who have grown weary in the waiting. Breathe fresh hope into those who have battled discouragement, disappointment, or delay. Remind us that You are faithful, even when we cannot yet see the fullness of what You are doing.

Father, we choose today to align our words with Heaven. Teach us to decree what You have spoken and to stand firmly upon Your promises. We declare breakthrough over our lives, our families, our finances, our health, and our destiny. We declare open doors, divine favor, restoration, provision, and increase according to Your will. Help us to enlarge our tents and prepare room for the harvest You are bringing. Let our faith rise higher than fear and our expectation become greater than our past disappointments. Teach us to sow with joyful and thankful hearts, trusting that You are the One who brings increase.

Lord, we call forth every harvest assigned to this season. We thank You that what has been planted in tears will be reaped in joy. We thank You that the windows of Heaven are open over Your people and that You delight in blessing Your children. May our mouths remain filled with faith, truth, and declaration. Let our words bring life, encouragement, healing, and hope wherever we go. And above all, let everything we receive bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ, the One who connects Heaven to earth. In Jesus' mighty name, amen.
