Elaine Tavolacci: Fresh Oil for the Midnight Hour

Oil and the Holy Spirit

"Your anointing has made me strong and mighty. You've empowered my life for triumph by pouring fresh oil over me." (Psalm 92:10 TPT)

Throughout the Bible, oil is a metaphor for the Holy Spirit. Jesus taught a parable in Matthew 25 about ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom's arrival. All ten grew weary as they waited, but only five were wise and brought extra oil for their lamps. The other five foolish brought none. In this parable, the bridegroom speaks of Jesus. Today, many in the Body of Christ find themselves in the midnight hour, wondering when Jesus will arrive.

Some of you are feeling drained, exhausted, and wondering where the Holy Spirit's presence has gone in your lives. It's as if the oil in your lamp is running low, and you're struggling to find that fresh oil of the Holy Spirit once again. But the Lord is saying, "I want to fill you once again." He is about to pour out a new wave of renewal, refreshment, and restoration upon your lives and ministries. Fresh oil is on the way in abundance for those who will receive it.

How Hungry Are You?

Many years ago, I went to meetings in Connecticut where Jill Austin was ministering. Jill was a seer prophet, deeply gifted in her calling. There were always miracles, signs, and wonders in her meetings. She not only prophesied over people, she also trained them on how to flow in that gift. People were activated in their revelatory gifts, and many, including myself, began seeing visions and receiving prophetic words. She would always ask the congregation, "How hungry are you?"

I remember one night, as Jill ministered, a woman on the intercessory team was suddenly caught up in the spirit. She saw angels ascending and descending on Jacob's ladder. The Lord opened her spiritual eyes, and she saw into a realm she'd never accessed before. Jesus wants to do the same for us today. (Photo via Stock-Free)

Jill always prayed, "I want to see Your glory Lord." I believe that He is saying to us right now that He wants to open our spiritual eyes to see His amazing glory.

A Season of Greater Manifestation of God's Kingdom

Recently, I was reading this verse from the book of Amos in The Message Bible, and the Lord quickened this verse to me:

"'Yes indeed, it won't be long now.' God's decree.

"'Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won't be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings!'" (Amos 9:13 MSG)

When I read that, I felt that the Holy Spirit was highlighting the urgency and magnitude of this season. Yes, the warfare is real, and some may fall away, but there will be a vast number swept into the Kingdom of God. We will see people delivered, and those held in regions of captivity will be set free. Deliverance is coming to those enslaved by bondage, oppression, and hopelessness.

People afflicted with sickness, pain, and suffering will be healed and released. Freedom is coming to those bound by addiction, sin, and shame. Liberation is coming to those who have been held in deception of false doctrines and doctrines of demons. They will receive a fresh revelation of the Word of God, and their eyes will be open to the truth. Confusion will be a thing of the past when the Lord pours out His favor upon them.

The Plowman Shall Overtake the Reaper

Amos 9:13–15 in the New King James Version says, "'Behold, the days are coming,' says the Lord, 'When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it.

"'I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.

"'I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them,' says the Lord your God." (Photo via Pexels)

The phrase "the plowman shall overtake the reaper" is a metaphor in Amos 9:13 indicating a time of great abundance and prosperity. Normally, the reaper would finish harvesting before the plowman starts preparing the soil for the next crop. But this Scripture is saying that the harvest is so bountiful that the plowman can't wait for the reaper to finish, and instead he starts plowing while the reaper is still harvesting.

There is a new sound arising. It's a sound coming from Heaven. It's the sound of revival; it's the sound of restoration.

In the natural realm, it may seem as if the Body of Christ is on the Titanic right now, and we are going down, but the Lord says, "You shall NOT go down. My Body shall rise again. In the coming days, you shall see My glory in the land of the living, and I will pour out My fresh oil in abundance upon My people."

"Then the Kingdom of Heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps." (Matthew 25:1–4 NKJV)
