Passover 2026
This year, the weekend of Palm Sunday closely aligned with the 10th of Nissan on the Hebrew calendar (Saturday, March 28). Exodus 12 describes how the 10th day of Nissan was when the Israelites were to bring a lamb into their homes for four days before it would be slaughtered on Passover. Likewise, Palm Sunday on the Western calendar commemorates the day Jesus was brought into Jerusalem four days before His crucifixion.
The Lord is highlighting these days between Palm Sunday and Passover this year as important days of encounter with the Lamb of God in preparation for one of the most catalytic and defining moments in history—Passover 2026.
In 2019, Chuck Pierce prophesied that we were entering into a decade of Passovers unlike any before. Months before COVID-19, he spoke of a coming plague reminiscent of the first Passover in Egypt. He later explained in his book, Passover Prophecies, that Passover 2020 marked a crossing over into an unfolding process. Just as Israel crossed out of Egypt, God's intent in this transition is to bring His people out of bondage, limitation, and entrenched cycles of destruction. According to Chuck Pierce, however, this shift is not automatic. The Lord calls us to discern the moment and intentionally step from the old into the new. This is not only a personal responsibility. As His Ekklesia, we are also entrusted with the destiny of our cities, states, and nations—partnering with Him to secure His purposes through intercession.
Meanwhile, Communion is central to this process. Throughout the seven recent years of Passovers, the Lord has been raising up what He has called "The Great Communion Blood Revival." It was only by the blood of the slain lamb that the angel of death "passed over" the Israelites in Egypt. Likewise, it is only by Jesus' blood that we are set free from the bondage of sin and death and authorized to cross over into the full inheritance purchased for us at the cross.
Therefore, on Monday, March 30, through sundown on Wednesday, April 1, Lou Engle is calling for three days of focused prayer and Communion leading up to Passover. Then we will also be joining "A Million Women" for the monthly, Global Esther Fast on April 1–3. We're urging Mordecais and Esthers worldwide to continue winning the battle in the heavens over the prince of Persia.
We stand at a threshold—these final moments of opportunity—to witness what God has been preparing to do in our families and nations for up to forty years. Let's align our hearts in faith and decree His prophetic purposes. Below are FIVE KEY PRAYER FOCUSES that Lou and Chuck have identified as critical for this window of intercession. Let us not underestimate the power of united prayer and fasting to shape the course of history.
5 Key Prayer Focuses
1. Covenant Alignments: Friend or Foe
This Passover will determine nation-to-nation alignments, particularly regarding Israel. Scripture underscores this in the warning of Joel 3—God judges nations by how they treat His covenant people.
Chuck notes that when Israel entered Gaza after October 7, 2023, the nation began confronting power structures it had never fully overcome in the past. He prophesied that by this year's Passover, Israel would be restaking her claim to her boundaries, triggering a global shaking in which nations must decide whether to support this process or disconnect themselves—becoming friend or foe. Likewise, the destiny of nations will hinge on whether they align with God's covenant purposes. 2. A Dividing Line in America
America is coming to a line of demarcation. With the current rise of antisemitism in our midst, we could face serious national consequences. Yet Chuck also acknowledged that corporate alignment with God's covenant nation Israel could position us for unprecedented revival. It is time to pray America through! God has given us authority to resist this Haman spirit!
Also, let's ask the Lord to bring healing to our divisions, as we decree His redemptive destiny over our families and our nation. Let's continue to cover our national leaders and pray for the establishing of covenant alignment within each of our individual states.
3. China and the Restraining of World War
We are living in a time of global military conflicts that are unlikely to resolve quickly, yet God is at work in the midst of them. Throughout modern history, there has been a connection between wars in Israel and harvest in the Gentile Church. As we pray with prophetic insight, we trust for Kingdom breakthroughs to arise from these conflicts.
We intercede to restrain and thwart the military ambitions of Xi Jinping and other forces opposing God's purposes. Let us pray for the strengthening of the U.S. armed forces and the IDF as they confront rising threats. At the same time, let us lift up the underground Church in China—that it would grow, be strengthened, and gain influence even within the political sphere, helping shift the nation's course. Finally, pray for the Church across Asia to fulfill its calling, carrying the Gospel westward through the Middle East and back to Jerusalem. (Photo via Pexels)
4. Iran (Elam): War and Awakening
Even as Iran (Biblical Elam) engages in military conflict, there is a prophetic promise of mass salvation and societal and political breakthroughs. We have received dreams of millions of women coming into the Kingdom. Biblical Esther lived and ruled in Persia; may she rise once again as a corporate expression of the Bride of Christ, standing in Kingdom authority over the powers of darkness. Pray according to Jeremiah 49 for the breaking of the bow of Elam and the establishment of God's throne in the region.
5. The Restraining of Global Darkness
Cuba remains a point of strategic tension due to its alliances and support from global powers like Russia. Chuck Pierce believes their "highway of Hell" is being closed, as sanctions and economic pressures are limiting its influence. Trump's actions in Venezuela also contributed to protecting U.S. national security. Let us continue to cover these situations, as well as President Trump and our national leaders, as God uses them to disrupt ungodly global alliances and maintain stability for the advancement of the Gospel in the earth.
