The Roar Heard Round the World
On February 28th, 2026, the United States and Israel launched a joint military strike against Iran. Israel codenamed their half of the operation Roaring Lion.
The morning of March 1st, the day before Purim, the Lord gave me a prophetic word, "The Lion of Judah Is Roaring Over Iran."
At the time I did not know what Israel named their operation (Operation Lion's Roar). I did not know that from Los Angeles to London, the Iranian diaspora would flood the streets to celebrate, waving the ancient lion, sword, and sun flag of Persia—the pre-revolutionary symbol of a nation that existed before the ayatollahs seized it. Little did I know, the Lord would use this flag to speak a prophetic promise as banner of love over the people of Iran who have long suffered under the tyranny of the prince of Persia mentioned in the book of Daniel.
Our God is Lord over times and seasons, even when humans have no clue about His timing. We still find ourselves in the middle of His appointed times. The week of the feast of Purim that celebrates the day Haman's plot was overturned—when mourning became dancing and the decree of death became a decree of deliverance for the Jews throughout Iran—would be the very week that the people of Iran would be celebrating in the streets. And their celebration was over the death of Supreme Leader Khamenei (kHAMENei), whose name sounds eerily similar to Haman, doesn't it?
Purim is the Jewish feast of the great reversal, when mourning became dancing and a death decree was overturned. It commemorates the day a Jewish bride named Esther, who married the Persian king, rallied with her uncle Mordecai, a gatekeeper, to stand against a genocidal decree issued by a demonized man named Haman in the very land we now call Iran. Persia saved the Jews. Now look at what is happening in real time. During Purim 2026, the nation of Israel, the nation Esther came from, began striking the land of Persia to liberate it from the grip of the same Haman spirit that once tried to destroy the Jews. The roles have reversed. Israel is returning the favor. Thousands of years later, the God of Esther is speaking over Persia again, overturning the tyranny of the same ancient spirit, but this time to save the Persian people.
This is a prophetic word concerning Iran, Israel, and a divine alliance being woven together in these last days. It is about veils coming off, both in the natural and in the spirit, and about a people rising from the ashes of religious oppression to become freedom fighters for the Kingdom of God. This is not a geopolitical word. This is a word about the Bride of Christ arising in one of the most unexpected places on earth, and what she is being anointed to do will alter the trajectory of nations.
What Is Happening in Iran Right Now
Before I release this prophetic word, you need to understand the landscape, because when you see what is happening in the natural, you will understand why Heaven is roaring.
In late December 2025, the Iranian rial collapsed to record lows. Shopkeepers in Tehran shuttered their doors and took to the streets. By January 2026, those economic protests had become the largest anti-government uprising Iran has seen since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, spreading to over 400 cities across all thirty-one provinces. On January 8th and 9th, 2026, the regime responded with a massacre. As of mid-February, the verified death toll had surpassed 7,000 people (according to Human Rights Activists News Agency), with human rights organizations estimating the real number is in the tens of thousands. The regime imposed a near-total internet blackout, seized satellite equipment door to door, and arrested tens of thousands of its own citizens.
Over seven thousand confirmed dead—children, teenagers, women, shopkeepers, students—killed by their own government for demanding freedom.
And what most news outlets will never tell you is that in the middle of all of this upheaval, Iran has been home to the fastest growing church on planet earth.
The Fastest Growing Church on Earth
In 1979, when the Islamic Revolution seized power, there were approximately 500 known Christian converts from Islam in the entire country of Iran, according to Global Christian Relief. Religion News Service reports that today estimates range from one million to three million Believers. According to Elam Ministries and multiple researchers, more Iranians have come to Christ in the last twenty years than in the previous thirteen centuries combined. This church has no buildings. No central leadership. No government protection. It meets in secret house churches behind closed doors and shuttered windows. Fifty-five percent of its disciple-makers are women, according to the Christian Post. It grows through whispered testimonies, encrypted messaging apps, satellite broadcasts in Farsi, and something the regime cannot control, cannot legislate against, and cannot imprison: dreams and visions of Jesus Christ.
Across Iran, Muslims are reporting the same encounter. A glowing man in white appears to them in their sleep and says, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." Jesus is visiting people in their dreams in a nation where owning a Farsi Bible is a criminal offense. Despite the regime's attempt to create a system designed to make Christianity impossible, the persecution did not kill the Church. It multiplied it.
The Veil Is Coming Off
Since September 2022, when a young Kurdish woman named Mahsa Amini was killed in the custody of Iran's morality police for allegedly wearing her hijab improperly, Iranian women have been publicly removing their veils in defiance of the regime's compulsory hijab laws. "Woman, life, freedom!" has echoed across every city. Women have burned their headscarves. They have faced bullets, imprisonment, torture, and death for the right to uncover their heads. As of 2026, in the middle of the largest sustained uprising in modern Iranian history, the women of Iran will not put the veil back on.
If you have eyes to see, this is a prophetic sign. What is happening in the natural is a picture of what God is doing in the spirit. And as you receive this word, ask the Holy Spirit to show you the convergence between what you are watching on the news and what God is declaring from His throne.
The Word of the Lord over Iran
On March 1st, 2026, I woke up weeping, and the Spirit of the Lord spoke this word over Iran:
"The Lion of the tribe of Judah is roaring over your land and scattering your enemies to the four winds! Behold, a new day has dawned as the Son of Righteousness is rising over you with healing in His wings! You shall arise from the ashes as a shining city on a hill, and you shall befriend and provoke My people Israel to believe in the Messiah whom I have sent.
"And who would have believed or considered in their heart that I the Lord would look upon the sons of Ishmael and call them as spiritual freedom fighters to My people Israel? For I have seen Ishmael in his affliction, and My mercy for the lad has never waned. It has always been My plan to raise him up in the resurrection life of My Son Yeshua and to send them home to their brothers of the house of Israel! For have I not said that the firstborn son is holy and belongs to Me? Yes, he does. The nations belong to Me, and I have not changed My mind.
"Truly, you shall bear witness in the coming days of My great plans and purposes for the Middle East. The redeemed remnant of Iran will arise as a double-edged sword, wielded by the hands of their Lion King, to sever the bonds of Islamic wickedness off of many people.
"They shall be a double-edged sword, yes. One edge is the word of Yahweh that reveals the hidden intentions of the inner man. The second edge is the word of their testimony, having survived under the satanic oppression of religious dictatorship. This is the sword that will cut away the bonds of ignorance, darkness, and hopelessness. Iran, you shall bear witness to Israel that where the Spirit of the Prince of Peace is Lord, there is true FREEDOM!
"Iranian remnant, you shall arise in the nations as 'ROARRIORS' OF TRUTH and JUSTICE that are found ONLY in JESUS! You shall rebuild the ancient ruins, the desolations of generations, and everlasting joy will be yours.
"On this first day of Purim, the nations did not perceive what I had planned, for I am now mustering an army of Iranian Esthers and Mordecais to be a voice on behalf of Israel in the last days. They will war against the antichrist, antisemitic spirit of Haman and Hitler that would attempt to rob Me of My full inheritance in the nations. They will break the bow of the evil one with their voice that I will broadcast throughout the nations. "They will have great mercy for Muslims and will bring them to faith in Me. Let this be a sign and a witness to the gods of the nations this day—that as the bride of Iran is removing her veil of grief in the natural to behold My glow face to face, SHE WILL BE ANOINTED TO REMOVE THE VEIL OF DECEPTION AND SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS OFF OF MY ISRAELI BRIDE AND THROUGHOUT THE NATIONS!
"Rejoice, daughters of Iran! Arise, Deborah, and sing your song! The work is not done. The war has only begun, and you must rally the villages to action! Arise, sons and daughters of Iran, Israel, and America, for a great alliance to accomplish My purposes has been woven together, and a threefold cord is not easily broken. Watchmen, do not abandon your posts! Do not cease to rally your birthing intercessors as they travail for deliverance from Babylon! Arise, lions, and ROAR as I establish My throne in Elam!"
Prophetic Confirmation: Isaiah 21
The Lord sealed this word by bringing me to Isaiah 21:1–9, a prophecy concerning Babylon that directly involves Elam and the Medes:
"Here is a prophecy concerning Babylon, the Desert by the Sea:
"As whirlwinds rushing in from the southland, an invader comes in from the desert, from a land to be feared. A terrifying revelation has been given to me: The betrayer betrays; the destroyer destroys. Arise, you Elamites! Lay siege, you Medes! I will put an end to all the grief she brought to the nations.
"There's a churning deep inside me, like labor pains of a woman about to give birth. I'm too anguished by what I hear and too frightened by what I see. My mind is reeling; I'm filled with panic. I longed for twilight, but now I tremble through the night. I see them prepare the table and spread their rugs, then they eat and they drink.
"Get up, you military officers! Anoint your shields for battle! For this is what the Lord said to me:
"'Go post a sentry and have him report what he sees. When he sees them come with chariots and advancing warriors riding on horses, donkeys, and camels, let him be alert, extremely alert!' Then the sentry cries out, 'I continually stand on this watchtower day after day for You, O Lord. I'm stationed at my post throughout the night. Look! Someone's coming! It's a man in a chariot with a team of horses. He shouts out, "Fallen, fallen, Babylon has fallen! All the idols of their gods lie shattered on the ground!"'" (TPT)
According to multiple media reports, in the small southern town of Galleh Dar, the people of Iran did not just celebrate the death of a dictator. They pulled down Khameini's monument and dragged it through the streets as flames rose from the roundabout. In Dehloran, a statue of Khamenei was ripped from its foundation while crowds cheered. The idols of the regime are lying shattered on the ground. What Isaiah prophesied, the Iranian people enacted with their bare hands during the week of Purim.
Even now I see the scroll of Isaiah 61 unrolling over the Persian empire, the land where the body of Esther is entombed.
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on [you], because the Lord has anointed [you] to proclaim good news to the poor. He [is sending you] to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. [You] will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor. [You] will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; [you] will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations... and everlasting joy will be yours...
"For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In My faithfulness I will reward My people." (Isaiah 61:1–8 NIV, brackets mine)
How to Pray and Partner with What God Is Doing in the Middle East
Won't you join me in praying for the Lord's desire for the Middle East? If so, here is how you can pray and partner with what God is doing:
• Pray for the underground church in Iran. They are the fastest-growing church on earth, and they are paying for it with their freedom and their lives. Pray for protection over house church leaders. Pray for the women who are leading the majority of these discipleship movements. Pray for Iranian Believers sitting in prison right now, some serving sentences of ten, fifteen, even forty years for the crime of believing in Jesus. Call them by name before the throne. They are your brothers and sisters. (Photo via Pexels)
• Pray for Israel—that the veil of spiritual blindness would be lifted, that the testimony of Iranian believers would pierce the hearts of Jewish people and provoke them to seek their Messiah. Pray Romans 11:26 over Israel: "And so all Israel will be saved."
• Fast in this season. Lent and Ramadan are overlapping for the first time in thirty-three years. While Muslims across the Middle East are fasting for Allah, JESUS is showing up in their dreams and visions! Add your faith to a fast to the one true God and cry out for more souls to be saved! Set aside time this week to fast and pray specifically for the Iranian people, the underground church, and this prophetic word to come to fullness.
• Give to ministries on the front lines. Elam Ministries, Transform Iran, and SAT-7 PARS are broadcasting Christian content in Farsi 24/7 into Iranian homes. International Media Ministries is releasing a Persian-language dramatization of the book of Esther this summer, timed for exactly this moment. Your financial seed into these ministries is a weapon in this war.
• Pray for the threefold alliance—for Kingdom connections between Iran, Israel, and America that cannot be broken by political agendas or demonic interference. Pray Ecclesiastes 4:12 over this alliance.
• Hold your post. If you are an intercessor, this is your hour. The sentry in Isaiah 21 said, "I continually stand on this watchtower day after day for You, O Lord. I am stationed at my post throughout the night" (TPT). That sentry is you. The birthing intercessors must not stop travailing. Deliverance is near.
Prophetic Decrees
Stand up and decree this over Iran, Israel, and the nations:
• I decree the Lion of the tribe of Judah is roaring over Iran and scattering every enemy of her divine destiny to the four winds!
• I decree the Son of Righteousness is rising over Iran with healing in His wings, and the redeemed remnant of Iran shall arise from the ashes as a shining city on a hill!
• I decree God's mercy over Ishmael has never waned, and the sons and daughters of Ishmael are being raised up in the resurrection life of Yeshua to bring the Gospel home to the house of Israel!
• I decree the redeemed remnant of Iran is arising as a double-edged sword in the hand of the Lion King, severing the bonds of Islamic wickedness off of many people!
• I decree Iranian Esthers and Mordecais are being mustered to war against the antichrist, antisemitic spirit of Haman, and they will break the bow of the evil one with the power of their voice!
• I decree as the bride of Iran removes her veil of grief in the natural, she will be anointed to remove the veil of deception and spiritual blindness off of Israel and throughout the nations!
• I decree the false prophets of media that lead the masses astray are being judged by the roar of truth from the redeemed voices of Iran!
• I decree the threefold alliance of Iran, Israel, and America is woven together by God, and a cord of three strands is not easily broken!
• I decree, "Fallen, fallen, Babylon has fallen! All the idols of their gods lie shattered on the ground!" (Isaiah 21:9 TPT).
• I decree God is setting His throne in Elam and will restore the fortunes of Elam in these last days (Jeremiah 49:38–39)!
Arise, Deborah, and sing your song! Arise, lions, and ROAR as the Lord establishes His throne in Elam!
