Rosangela Atte: Creative Glory - The River of Life Is Calling

Encountering the River of Life

In this season, the Lord is inviting us to jump into His river of life.

A couple of nights ago in prayer, I saw the throne of God. It was shining with blinding white light, radiant and pure. From underneath His throne, a rainbow began to shine through.

At first it appeared as light, and then that light began to move. It became a river. It started flowing wider and deeper until it could no longer be crossed by walking through it. The only way forward was to swim.

Everything Comes Alive!

About a week before that, I received a prophetic word, and part of that word was from Ezekiel 47. That was the first Scripture passage that came to me after I saw this vision. Ezekiel saw water flowing from the temple. It began as ankle deep, then knee deep, then waist deep, until it became a river too deep to pass through. The only way through was to swim. And wherever that river flowed, life appeared. Trees grew. Fruit multiplied. Healing manifested.

Verse 8 says that the river flowed into the Dead Sea and made its waters fresh. The lowest, saltiest, most lifeless body of water became alive. The Dead Sea is the lowest place on dry land. In Ezekiel's vision, God's river flowed toward low places, toward what seemed barren, toward what felt beyond recovery.

And that concept connects directly with Ezekiel 37—the valley of dry bones—often likened to our seasons of trials and tribulations. The bones are described as very dry—no movement, no life, no hope. Yet when the breath of God entered them, they stood as a living army.

The same God who breathes into dry bones releases living water into dead seas. He brings life into what looks completely finished: health, marriage, dreams, ministry, creativity, finances, identity. Everything that seems dead and gone, He can and will resurrect if we jump into His river. The driest places are not beyond His reach. (Photo via Pexels)

The Throne and the River

I was also reminded of Revelation 4:2–3, where John saw a throne in Heaven encircled by a rainbow shining like an emerald. Then in Revelation 22:1, the river of the water of life flowed from the throne of God and of the Lamb. The throne and the river were connected. Life flows directly from Him and who He is.

Psalm 36:8–9 says, "You give them drink from the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life" (ESV). Everything we need originates in Him.

Nothing We Need Is Outside of Him

I asked, "Lord, what are You telling me?"

He said, "This is the river of life and creativity. Within it you will find everything you need: the answer to every question, the solution to every problem, the blueprints for every plan, the cure to every affliction, ideas, music, lyrics, books, art. Everything that I am is in this river."

What I understood was that He is calling His children to move in creative ways, including in signs, miracles, and wonders. The first introduction we have of Him in Genesis 1 is as Creator, Elohim. He desires for us to be known as a creative people, just like our heavenly Father.

We are to lead in every area. In Exodus 31, the Spirit of God filled Bezalel with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and craftsmanship to build. Creativity flows from His Spirit. This is not just limited to the arts. Creativity is the ability to generate new and valuable ideas, solutions, or methods. It can be expressed through innovation, problem-solving, leadership, strategy, communication, movement, and design just as much as through music, writing, and painting.

Some people think visually, others through words, structure, numbers, or relationships.

Colossians 2:3 says that in Christ "are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Nothing we need is outside of Him. (Photo via Pexels)

Our Covenant God and the Dimensions of His Fullness

The rainbow carries covenant meaning. In Genesis 9:13–16, God placed the rainbow in the clouds as a sign of His covenant with Noah after the flood. It represents mercy, preservation, and new beginnings. It speaks of forgiveness and restoration where devastation once ruled.

The seven colors reflect fullness. Scripture consistently uses seven to represent completion and spiritual perfection, from creation in Genesis 1–2 to the "sevenfold Spirit" described in Revelation 1:4 and reflected in Isaiah 11:2: the Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of wisdom, the Spirit of understanding, the Spirit of counsel, the Spirit of might, the Spirit of knowledge, and the Spirit of the fear of the Lord.

His covenant names reveal dimensions of that fullness:

• Jehovah-Jireh, Provider (Genesis 22:14).

• Jehovah-Shammah, Present (Ezekiel 48:35).

• Jehovah-Shalom, Peace (Judges 6:24).

• Jehovah-Nissi, Victory (Exodus 17:15).

• Jehovah-Rohi, Shepherd (Genesis 48:15).

• Jehovah-Tsidkenu, Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6).

• Jehovah-Rapha, Healer (Exodus 15:26).

He is completely sufficient.

The Living Word Brings Forth All Things

1 John 1:5 says, "God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all."

White light contains the full spectrum of color. When light passes through a prism, the colors become visible. In the same way, when we remain and operate in Him, His multifaceted character is revealed through us. We manifest His glory on the earth. Apart from Him, nothing is manifested.

When we express ourselves in alignment with Him and through Him, we reveal an aspect of His nature on the earth. Creativity becomes more than talent. It becomes a manifestation of His glory, bringing transformation wherever it flows.

In John 1:1–5 it says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" (ESV). (Photo via Pexels)

In Genesis 1:1–2 it says, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters" (ESV).

Jesus is the living Word through whom all things were created. Creation itself responded to His voice. Life is in Him. Light is in Him. He spoke into nothingness and He brought life where there was none, just as the river of life brings life where there is none!

Partnering with His Creative Power

As we align our words with His will, we partner with that same creative power. When we speak in agreement with Him, life can emerge where there was nothing. Light can break into darkness. What seemed empty can begin to form.

We are speaking in alignment with the Word through whom all things were made. The invitation to move from walking to swimming is an invitation to move from control to surrender. Ankle-deep faith still allows us to determine direction. Swimming requires deep trust. You cannot swim and reach the other side while holding on.

He is inviting us deeper, not to stand at the edge but to live immersed in the continuous flow of His creative Spirit! The river is available. Will you accomplish your creative assignment this season, or will you remain in that dead, dry place where your dreams are waiting to be resurrected?
