Rosangela Atte: Building, Battling and Multiplication

For Those Called to Build Under Pressure

Keep building what the Lord has called you to build, even when everything and everyone around you seems to rise up against your purpose and your calling.

When God assigns you to build, it will not be easy. If it were, it would not require faith, endurance, or obedience. Resistance is not a sign you are off track. Very often, it is confirmation that you are right where you are supposed to be.

The enemy does not oppose what carries no weight. Nehemiah did not wake up one morning looking for a project. He was burdened. He felt the weight of what was broken long before he touched a stone.

"When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of Heaven." (Nehemiah 1:4 NIV)

A burden from God is not emotional heaviness; it is a divine assignment. What God calls you to build often breaks your heart first. Just as Nehemiah felt the burden to rebuild the walls of his city, you have been entrusted with a burden—not one meant to crush you but one meant to commission you.

Building Despite the Opposition

The moment the building began, opposition showed up:

"When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed." (Nehemiah 4:1 NIV)

Mockery. Intimidation. Distraction. Threats. This is where many people stop, but Nehemiah didn't.

"So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart." (Nehemiah 4:6 NIV)

Building in Imperfect Conditions

You have to understand this: You don't need perfect conditions to obey; you need resolve. Nehemiah built while fighting. He did not pause the assignment to deal with the enemy, nor did he ignore the enemy to finish the assignment. (Photo via Pixabay)

"Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other." (Nehemiah 4:17 NIV)

This is your season. You have been called to build and tear down, to plant and uproot, to restore what was broken, while carrying the burden the Lord placed in your heart. One hand builds. One hand fights. Building looks like consistency, faithfulness, and obedience.

Fighting looks like guarding your heart, your mind, your calling, and your boundaries. You don't get distracted. You don't get discouraged. You don't get intimidated. Because intimidation is one of the enemy's favorite tactics and greatest illusions.

Building in Faith

"Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight." (Nehemiah 4:14)

The enemy's schemes are smoke and mirrors. They appear real and threatening, but they carry no lasting substance. They crumble under the weight of obedience and determination. Fear magnifies illusions. Faith exposes reality.

And the Lord says, "Do not slow down now. This is not the season to retreat. This is the season to keep building, keep forging the path, and to keep pioneering, even when it feels lonely, because you are entering a new season."

A Season of Acceleration and Multiplication

It is a season where God accelerates what once took years.

"'The days are coming,' declares the Lord, 'when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman.'" (Amos 9:13 NIV) (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)

This is a season of multiplication, first in the realm of the spirit and then manifested in the natural. From the very beginning, multiplication was God's idea.

"God blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply.'" (Genesis 1:28 BSB)

Multiplication is not a reward for perfection. It is a blessing released through alignment. Just as the seed for multiplication is already contained within the fruit, the seed of your increase is found in your fruit. Your fruit is your obedience. Your fruit is your works. Your fruit is your consecration. The blessing of multiplication was the first blessing God placed upon creation.

The Lord says, "That blessing is still active. Keep building. Keep fighting. Keep trusting. What you are stewarding now will multiply beyond what you can see, because this work did not originate with you. It came from Me."

Declarations:

• I will not stop building.

• I will not be distracted.

• I will not be intimidated.

• I build with one hand and guard with the other.

• I remain faithful in sowing.

• I receive the blessing of multiplication.

• What God has called me to build will stand and multiply.
