Dear ElijahStreams Family,
Well...here we are. 2026.
And I'm confident... This is NOT just another year on the calendar.
I sense very strongly this is a year of
INVITATION.
God's doing what ONLY GOD can do. He's opening doors and positioning people.
He's arranging things behind the scenes AND He's speaking...sometimes quietly, sometimes clearly.
But here's the part we don't always talk about:
An open door doesn't mean
everyone walks through it. It's an invitation.
God opens the doors...but He rarely pushes us through.
Which reminds me of a story you may remember me sharing. I wrote it back in 2019. It was about our rescue cat, Annie, our "Fraidy Cat." Annie has since gone to Heaven, but the lesson she taught me has
NOT passed away.

Annie was a rescue, just like you and me. We are all rescues by the LORD HIMSELF.
She was feral before. Raised only outdoors. A young woman at the pound took her in, and after that, Derene and I adopted Annie.
For almost thirteen years, we faithfully took care of her: food, water, and love.
And what did we get for it?
After all those years, if Annie saw us coming, she would RUN FULL SPEED the other way, as if we were her bitter enemy.
Derene and I would just look at each other and shake our heads in disbelief. What will it take for this cat to believe she's safe?
She was so afraid of the UNKNOWN that she wasn't even tempted to go outside. When we brought in groceries, we could leave the front door wide open.
"FRAIDY CAT" wasn't going anywhere near that door.
That's when the Lord really got my attention.
He takes care of every need, feeds us, clothes us, and forgives us. And yet...when He opens something NEW...when He invites us FORWARD...we sometimes hesitate.
The unknown can paralyze us.
But here is the truth that changes EVERYTHING: When God opens a door, He's already on the other side waiting for us...He's asking us to trust Him.
Annie could've walked through the door. The door was OPEN. But fear told her it was safer to stay where she was.

And I've learned this...sometimes the door God opens in front of us isn't just about where we're going. Sometimes it's about whether we'll trust Him enough to take a step. For many of us, that step shows up in what we choose to give.
This year, I believe God is gently saying to many of us:
"You can trust Me here."
God always does HIS part. He opens the door. He releases the Word. He creates the opportunities. But He also looks for PEOPLE who will step through that door WITH HIM.
That's where YOU come in. Here's what one
open door looks like right now.
As you know, we've committed to fund
30 water wells EVERY MONTH.
We are also committed to helping over 350
vulnerable and orphan children EVERY MONTH.
And here's the part I don't want you to miss:
God isn't just inviting us into something to help others.
He's inviting you into something, too.
"Whoever refreshes others will himself be refreshed." (Proverbs 11:25)
That's how God works.
This is our invitation. This is one of OUR open doors. Derene and I are choosing to step through it. AND we invite you to step with us as we move into 2026.
We're praying for you, and we're confident of this: God will give you the strength you need to walk through every door He opens for you in 2026.
Happy New Year!
