2026 is going to be an extraordinary year. On July 4, 2026, the United States will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. President Trump has called for an epic celebration, also known as America 250. There will be massive gatherings, patriotic events, tributes and festivities nationwide, and a special presentation at the White House.
It will be an Independence Day like no other. It's a pivotal time in U.S. history, and it's also going to be another turning point for the nation politically as well as spiritually. I don't think that it's a coincidence that this event is happening at this time. It's all part of God's plan.
A Year of Awakening and Returning
The year 2026 will be a time of awakening. Many prodigal sons and daughters who've hit rock bottom will come to their senses and return home. Those who left their father's house and squandered everything will return with humility, repentant hearts, and a vengeance against the kingdom of darkness that tried to capture and destroy them. They'll be stronger and more tenacious than they were before. They will become warriors for the Lord and overcomers in their generation. Their testimony will bring deliverance to many.
The father will not only receive them back with open arms, but He will also adorn them with symbols of their restored identity. He will place a robe of authority on their shoulders, signifying new power and position in the Kingdom. He will put a signet ring on their finger, representing the seal of His approval, favor, and covenant promises. He will place shoes on their feet, symbolizing their readiness to walk in their God-given purpose and proclaim the good news. They will be clothed in righteousness, and identified as beloved sons and daughters, well equipped for ministry and service.
"And he said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.'" (Luke 15:31–32 NKJV)
A Showdown of the One True God
2026 will be a year of conquering the giants of the land. We will face lions and bears along the way, but we'll overcome every one, knowing who we are in Christ.
Get ready for a showdown. It will be a year of confrontation. There will be a cry in the land, "Where is the God of Elijah?" and the Lord will vindicate His people. Don't be afraid or intimidated by the prophets of Baal; their plans will not succeed. The accuser of the brethren is at the door trying to accuse the true prophets and say that they are false prophets. He will accuse the God-ordained pastors, teachers, and evangelists of giving bogus messages. He will criticize the apostles saying that they are in error, but the Lord El Shaddai will show Himself strong on their behalf.
The Lord will raise up those who know how to call down fire from Heaven to destroy the idolatry of the enemy.
In 1 Kings 18, Elijah challenged Baal's prophets on Mount Carmel. He proposed a test, telling them to prepare a sacrifice without fire and that the true God would send fire to prove Himself. Baal's prophets prayed all day and cut themselves, but nothing happened. Elijah mocked their god, then called on Jehovah. Although this was physical, it was a spiritual showdown with the ideologies of man-made religions and the traditions of men. We are about to show the world that the one true God is Jesus Christ.
"Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, 'The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!'" (1 Kings 18:38–39 NKJV)
Demonstrations of Holy Spirit and Power
Believers will learn how to be led by the Holy Spirit. They will speak not only with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power.
Many will learn how to recognize His voice, which is crucial for the Body of Christ in this season. Being "led" is not just a religious phrase, spiritual buzzword, or a Christian cliché; it's a vital part of our walk with Jesus if we want to experience transformation and fulfill our destiny.
They will know the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity—as their guide, counselor, and comforter. He will lead them into a deeper understanding of God's purposes and plans, opening the eyes of their hearts so that they will develop a deeper sensitivity to His guidance. He will lead them into the truth and teach them all things.
"And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4–5 NKJV)
A Year Where the Lord Shatters Limitations
2026 will be a year where the Lord shatters limitations. The Holy Spirit is calling us out of the natural realm and inviting us to walk in the supernatural realm. Many of us will see our level of faith and expectations go to another level. Just as Jesus called Peter to walk out on the water, He will also require us to step out into the deep. As Holy Spirit-filled Believers, He has given us the ability to see and do things beyond the natural realm.
The Lord is going to give us discernment from Heaven's perspective. We will be able to perceive what the Lord is doing and then release it on this earth. He will show us in our preaching, our giving of prophetic words, our laying of hands on the sick, and as we are being used in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He is giving us these unique gifts to be able to tune in to the frequencies of Heaven and discern His leading. We cannot access this place with our natural minds or imaginations because we are limited with our mortal bodies, but the supernatural ream can only be obtained through a personal relationship with Jesus and knowing Him personally.
He wants to use every one of us in the coming year to transform lives, shift atmospheres, and occupy the land. He wants to give us amazing encounters so that we can usher in the greatest awakening that the world has ever known. (Photo via Pexels)
A Year to Recover All and Be Restored
2026 will be the year to recover all. The Lord is saying to all of you who have been broken, beaten and battered, "You will rise again." You may have been through losses, trials, or tragedies, but Jesus wants to bring restoration and renewal to your lives. He wants you to let go of your old ways of thinking, the old habits, and even some old relationships. Some of you are stuck in the past, holding on to what is familiar. Don't dwell on what doesn't exist anymore. The enemy will try to immobilize you to keep you from advancing into your destiny. It's time to come up higher.
As I drove by a house under construction the other day, the house looked fine to me on the outside, but I heard the Holy Spirit say, "You can't judge it by its outside appearance. The inside of this house needs to be rebuilt, restored, and renewed. The walls need demolition and reconstruction, the staircase needs restoration, and it needs a new roof and fresh paint.
The Lord said, "Many lives will be restored in the days ahead, just like this house. They will receive My renovation as I rebuild and restore what's been damaged and torn down. They will receive a stronger foundation, securer steel beams, impenetrable walls, and a sturdy roof that can weather any storm. They will be reconstructed to withstand life's challenges from high winds to hurricanes, emerging stronger and more resilient than ever. I am building My Church and strengthening My Body for supernatural empowerment, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it."
You can't receive the new wine if you refuse to give up the old wineskin. Jesus wants to prepare you and revamp your life with a new wineskin so that you will be pliable and able to contain the new wine that He's about to pour out. He wants to transform your thinking with a whole new perspective. He wants to renew your mind so that you will see yourself as He sees you—not as the person you once were, but as He created you to be: a warrior, men and women of God equipped and empowered for the journey. It's time to upgrade your self-image and step into the fullness of what God has for you. If you've been stuck in a season of stagnation, it's time to move forward, leaving behind the elementary teachings that no longer serve you.
A Year of Transformation, Growth, and Unprecedented Opportunities
The Lord says, "2026 will be a year of transformation, growth, and unprecedented opportunities. Although there will be some tumultuous times in the days ahead, My glory will be revealed in this nation. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but don't be afraid. Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, but I will show Myself strong in times of chaos.
"I will raise up intercessors from among you who will dismantle the works of darkness by the words of their mouths. They will break new ground and blaze new trails. They understand their assignment and will walk in their authority as they thwart the strategies of the enemy and cancel his plans. They are those who will not allow the enemy to gain ground or take territory."
New Worship Will Be Released
2026 will bring a new genre of worship. Worshipers will hear the sounds of Heaven and release what they hear. They will get so caught up in a cloud of glory and begin to sing with the angels. They will prophesy with their instruments as they get caught up and synchronize with the sounds from the throne room. The atmosphere will shift, and the presence of God will manifest, bringing healing, restoration, and revival to all who enter into this new dimension of worship. They will sing in the Spirit and bring others into encounters that they've never experienced before. This new realm of worship will bring us into a deeper intimacy with the Lord. (Photo via Pexels)
A Year of Harvest
2026 will be a year of harvest. As the days grow darker, the Lord's glory will shine brighter. The Lord says, "I am seeking courageous men and women of valor, who will take heed to My voice and walk in faith, unshaken by circumstances. They will be equipped and empowered to rescue, deliver, and set people free. They are not intimidated, because just as Joshua and Caleb, they know that they are well able to possess the land. It's time to advance in what I have commissioned you to do. The harvest is ripe and the laborers are few. It's time to demonstrate the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven," says the Lord.
A Year of Supernatural Breakthroughs and Walking in the Supernatural Realm
2026 will be a year of supernatural breakthroughs. Those of us who are filled with the Holy Spirit have the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwelling inside of us.
This year, many of you will learn to see beyond the natural realm. You will discover how to walk in a new power and authority. The Lord will open your eyes to see the warring angels in the heavenly dimensions. You will recognize demonic spirits and expose their strategies. Some of you will see angel armies protecting and fighting for you. You will see hosts of Heaven and the great cloud of witnesses cheering us on. Some will see living creatures, seraphim, and cherubim as you learn who you are in Christ and what He's called you to do. 2026 will be the year of walking in the supernatural realm.
"And Elisha prayed, and said, 'Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.' Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha." (2 Kings 6:17 NKJV)
"Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you." (Isaiah 60:1–2 NKJV)
"But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV)
