"Let Me Lead You Into All Joy"
I once read a word by Bill Burns that the Lord led me back to recently, and I want to share it with you. It said, "'Listen, My people. Listen. I am shouting from the roof tops; this is the season of great joy. And, great joy I will release to you, which will bring strength of victory and power within you.
"'I know what is coming, and I know the outcome of everything. Receive that which I am doing right now. Let Me deposit My joy in your heart and despair will go. Come into your rightful position of allowing Me to lead you into all joy,' says the Lord."
A Deposit of Joy
The words "Let Me deposit joy in your heart and despair will go" took me back to a morning in 2012.
I was asleep in the early hours of the morning, and I was dreaming. I dreamed that Jesus had come to me and touched me, and when He did, great joy flooded me. It was a joy unlike anything I had ever experienced. It was so real to me that I woke up laughing, filled with great joy. (Photo via Pexels)
When I awoke, I was thankful for that joy, especially at that exact time in my life. You see, it was one year to the day since we had buried my brother. However, the joy was short lived. It was only a couple hours later that I found out my oldest sister had gone to be with the Lord in the middle of the night.
I found it very odd that God would give me that dream on the morning I would find my sister had passed, and a year to the day from my brother leaving this earth. But I knew God was telling me something. I knew He was telling me that there would be a time of great joy; I only needed to hold on to that. And hold on to it I did.
Just recently, I shared this dream with a friend. She conveyed to me that she felt the Lord was also showing me the joy my sister felt when she stepped into His presence.
It was much later that I realized that deposit of joy, at that exact moment, kept me from allowing despair to overtake me as I walked through that difficult season.
Good Tidings of Great Joy
Luke 2:10 says, "And the angel said unto them, fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people" (KJV).
Most of us are familiar with this verse, especially at this time of year. Good tidings of great joy! This was fulfilled when Christ came to earth. (Photo via Rawpixel)
Let's look at a few of the words in this Scripture:
• "Tidings" means good news of blessings.
• "Great" means massive in weight and intense.
• "Joy" means gladness—to rejoice and be glad and to thrive.
An Invitation
This joy is available to us, if we will only receive it.
It is my prayer for you today that you will allow God to deposit into your heart great joy. He is offering this awesome gift this season; won't you accept it?
May God deposit into your heart joy and a massive weight of intense blessings so big that it will cause you to rejoice, be glad, and thrive in your inner most being. And may all despair vanish once and for all amid His joy in you.
Blessings to you in this most joyous season!
