Craig Cooney: "I Have Been Rebuilding You"

 

Introduction:

2025 has been a long and difficult year for so many of us. It has felt as if so much has been stripped away and removed from our lives. Things that were once easy can begin to feel really difficult! At times we might wonder if we've done something wrong or if the Lord has removed His blessing.

As I prayed, I sensed the Spirit speak about the rebuilding the Lord has been doing in our lives. He has had to dismantle and demolish some things to make room for the new He is forming inside you. I have shared the word below. I pray that you find this helpful in understanding what you may be walking through.

"I Have Been Rebuilding You"

The Lord says, "I have been rebuilding you. In 2025, it feels as if so many things in your life have been dismantled and demolished, even in areas where you were once confident you felt insecure.

"In your places of natural ability you feel increasingly inadequate. You don't understand what is happening. It's frustrating and confusing. You have even begun to wonder if you're still called by Me, or that you have done something wrong.

"Please know I have been deeply and intimately at work in your life. My hand is still upon you.

"I have been deconstructing your self-reliance and removing your dependence on your own gifts and ingenuity. I am taking away the crutches that you lean on. I want you fully dependent on Me. I am revealing your weakness so that you will cry out for My supernatural strength. (Photo via Rawpixel)

"You are increasingly frustrated at your own best efforts; that is My intention, because I need you to realize that apart from Me you can do nothing.

"Old formulas and methods are no longer going to be fruitful. What used to work will now feel empty and lifeless.

"I Need Men and Women Who Will Go Low"

"I don't need more gifted men and women. I don't need more 'great speakers.' I don't need more cookie-cutter ministries. I don't need charisma or human wisdom. I don't need more influencers or 'big names.' Those things might impress others, but they nauseate Me. They might even appear to work for some people, but they don't carry My anointing or My blessing.

"I need men and women who will humble themselves before Me. I am seeking those who hear My voice and obey without hesitation, even if it is costly or uncomfortable. I am looking for those who will discern the word of the LORD for this hour and communicate it with courage and conviction. I need men and women who will go low—who will set aside ego and ambition and live only for My glory. I need those who desire to minister to Me more than they want to do great things for Me, who will spend more time on their faces weeping than standing on stages seeking attention.

"I don't want you to be famous; I want you to be fruitful. I don't need you to be impressive; I need you to be surrendered. I don't need your platform; I want your consecration. I don't need your best ideas; I need you to build according to My blueprints.

"I will give you My unlimited power and provision if you will give Me your unconditional 'yes.'

Removing the Debris of the Old to Make Room for the Construction of the New

"I know you've been struggling with the stripping back. The pruning has been painful. I know you have felt lost and lonely. But know this: what was there before was not able to sustain what I will do in and through you in this next season. You would have been content to reorder and redecorate, to move around the furniture. I needed to tear down, uproot, sever, and remove. "What got you this far was good, but it couldn't take you any further. Therefore, some things had to die to make way for the new. You might miss them, but you don't need them. Let them go. What I am now building inside you will enable you to flourish and be more fruitful than ever.

"I've seen what you can do. Now, in 2026, I want you to see what I can do.

"My strength is sufficient. My power is available. Take heart; I have been rebuilding you."

John 12:24: "Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds" (NIV).

John 15:1–2, 5: "I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

"... I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing" (NIV).

Mark 2:22: "And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins" (NIV).

Isaiah 42:9: "See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you" (NIV).
