Dear ElijahStreams Family,
As we transition from Thanksgiving into Christmas, I keep thinking about our Father and the incredible gift He gave us in Jesus.
That's really the heart of Christmas, isn't it?
A Father who saw His children in need and said, "I'll give everything I have for them."
And lately, I can't stop thinking about another father. One I heard about in Uganda. His story reminds me so much of that same kind of love.

Every morning, before the sun's even up, he starts walking. Lifting his jerrycans onto his shoulders, he begins the long journey down a narrow dirt path, through the dense brush and trees to gather water.
By the time he gets there, he's already drenched in sweat and covered in dust. And that's only the beginning of his day!
This father is a brick maker. It's the only way he can feed his family. He digs clay from the ground, mixes it with what little water he's brought home, then bakes those bricks under the blazing African sun!
But here's the part that got me.
The same water he needs for his work is the same water his kids need to drink!
And every single day, he has to make an awful choice:
Do I use the water to make bricks so I can feed my family... or save it so my children can drink?
Can you even imagine that?
After walking miles, muscles burning, feet raw from the dirt, he still has to choose between food on the table and water in their cups.

And when he finally drags himself home, covered in mud, exhausted, hungry, there's still
no clean water to wash with. No way to cool off.
He's giving everything he has, doing everything he can, and it still isn't enough.
As a dad myself, I can't even imagine that kind of heartbreak. No father should have to watch his kids suffer when he's doing everything he can to keep them alive.
This is where we step in! This story is happening in lives all over Uganda, every single day but it doesn't have to stay that way. Our love and our obedience can meet their need.
When we give, families like his no longer have to choose. And every time we say "YES," we're echoing the Father's heart.

Christmas is proof that God gave His best... His very own Son, so that none of His children would go without life! And now, it's our turn. We get to give our best, not out of guilt, but out of gratitude. Because we know what it feels like to be rescued.
So, as we celebrate Jesus this Christmas, let's continue to give life. Let's keep saying yes to the Father's heart! Let's help more fathers rest. Let's help more children dream.
This is our time to give our best, just as our Father did.
You can fund an ENTIRE water well!
The full cost is $10,000, and it changes a village forever.
This Christmas, consider doing something meaningful that will last beyond the wrapping paper and decorations.
You can honor a loved one by contributing to the gift of clean water or even funding an ENTIRE well as a present for your children or grandchildren!
Imagine telling them, "This year, we gave a village the gift of life!"
If you choose to donate an entire well, we will include a plaque at the site, ensuring that future generations remember the love that provided them with water. What a way to celebrate the Father's love! |
We are deeply thankful for you and your continued partnership. We mean it when we say this: your support keeps this whole thing going!
We send our love to you and wish you a very Merry Christmas,
