I feel the compassion of the Lord for several in the Body of Christ who are going through unjust cycles of pain and torment from the enemy, even when they have stood firm and steady in their faith. I believe this is a season where the book of remembrance is being opened for God's faithful ones, for the time has come for their reward and justice.
Fairly recently, the Lord gave me a dream where a powerful scene of redemption played out from beginning to end. I was in awe at the faithfulness of our loving Savior as I witnessed this. In the dream, I witnessed an event that I believe is symbolic of the powerful love of our Savior and what took place on the cross.
Jesus Says,"No More"
In that dream, I saw a woman being whipped brutally within an inch of her life to the point where it seemed as if she could not possibly recover from such a brutal onslaught. This woman was a servant or a slave who had been working for her owners inside a house, but prior to her being whipped, she had become tired and had walked out of the house to take a short break and rest. Her cruel owners saw her outside resting and became enraged, and they took out whips and started to beat her to the point where it felt like they would kill her.
As they raised up the whips to beat her one more time, a man appeared in front of her to deflect the whip from hitting her. He would take her beating if necessary. This man was so gentle and powerful as he spoke to the cruel owners: "No more." His quiet authority stopped them, and they could not even whip him or the woman while he stood in front of her.
I woke up from the dream and began to intercede for anyone who has undergone whippings of reproach, shame, infirmities beyond what they can endure, misunderstandings of men, horrific demonic oppression, and so much more. I knew instantly that what I saw in the dream was several divine interventions from Jesus on our behalf. (Photo via Flickr)
The Whips of Reproach and the Isaiah 53:5 Mandate
My dream showed a symbolic representation of a savior willing to suffer for us and take on our punishment. In fact, Isaiah 53 showcases that Jesus did bear our sicknesses and the punishment for our iniquities and transgressions. And, by His sacrifice, He provided an exchange of salvation, healing, and forgiveness for all those who would receive these by faith. The whips that fell on Jesus, which brought intense agony to Him, were to save us from the whips of sicknesses the enemy wanted to bestow on us.
Several years ago, while I was a student in the UK before entering into ministry, I was diagnosed with an incurable illness that caused me immense pain when I breathed, spoke, or walked. The X-ray the doctor took of my chest showed that the bones in my chest/ribs had become damaged due to an incurable sickness. My rib bones were literally worn out due to this disease. The doctors told me that they could do nothing to cure me, beyond giving me very strong pain killers.
As I listened to this diagnosis, Jesus spoke to me and told me to mediate on Isaiah 53 verse 5, where it says, "by His stripes we are healed." I spoke those words of healing over myself daily, even through intense bouts of sickness and pain, until the truth became a reality in my spirit. By a miracle, within three months of declaring God's healing words over my body, I woke up with a body completely healed and free of pain, and I have remained healed to this day. I am eternally thankful to my Lord who took the whipping on my behalf from the cruel taskmaster of sickness that I suffered from. He bore my whips of incurable illness!
I feel the heart cry of Jesus, especially for those of you who are suffering from terrible infirmities, to remind you through this dream that He took the whip of infirmities for you. The Lord is releasing a powerful move of healing to save many from the whips of oppression.
While on a recent ministry trip, I was thankful for powerful healings that were released by the Lord, as many responded to words of knowledge the Lord had given me for them. They were healed from severe conditions that needed surgery. One of them was a woman who got healed of a condition where she needed a hip and knee replacement, and she was able to walk without the use of a walker in the church meeting. Some of these infirmities were long standing, but the Lord was saying "no more" to these infirmities. Glory to God!
Justice Was Released on the Cross
The cross was a place where Heaven meted out justice on behalf of all, so we can be free if we come to faith in Him. In my dream, an evil judgment was placed on the woman, and surely she would have died were it not for a divine intervention. (Photo via Wallpaper Flare)
In this season, the Lord is enforcing the justice that was released on the cross to many people. Ordinances and legal requirements released by the evil one, meant to break us, have no legal foothold to stand. In Colossians 2:14, it says that the ordinances that were contrary to us have been nailed to the cross.
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross." (Colossians 2:13–14 KJV)
The voice of the Lord is speaking, "Stand firm against the accuser of your soul with this truth." The power of curses and all evil judgments, especially the judgment of death, have been broken in the name of Jesus through His sacrifice on the cross. The Lord is intervening and bringing a halt to cycles of premature death among His dear saints. Declare your victory in the face of demonic onslaught: "I will fulfill the number of my days!" Battles will be won by those who stand on this truth.
A Season to Walk in Your Heavenly Identity as Sons and Daughters of God
In my dream, the cruel taskmasters of the woman were able to punish her so harshly because of the authority they had over her. I hear the Lord saying, "Many are being cruelly tormented by the enemy, because they are not walking in their authority as sons and daughters of the Kingdom." The word of the Lord for you is to come out of the domain of fear and subjugation and enter into the divine reality of your identity. You are a son and daughter set free to walk in freedom in His Kingdom of light on this earth. You are no longer slaves but sons.
The hold of the power of darkness over lives, nations, and communities will be shaken and defeated by God's sons and daughters walking in their authority. I see multiple chains being broken as Believers speak with a voice of truth, declaring their identity as blood-bought sons and daughters of God.
My dream, I believe, shows Jesus' divine intervention in our lives. He has intervened to save us from the cruel taskmasters of sin, disease, and death. Our Lord has decreed: "No More." He has stepped in to break the yoke over us. What a Savior, what a Lord!
I believe I witnessed a real-time divine intervention in the dream from our Lord and Savior. May there be a shift in our lives that breaks us free from harsh servitude and oppression. I hear the sound of freedom!
