"If It Plays in Peoria"
Hey, America, let me introduce you to Peoria, Illinois, and what it's about to say to you!
Let me provide you with some brief context for the above statement. Though I am originally from Central Illinois, it wasn't until God sovereignly sent our family from Texas back to Illinois in 2023 that we began living in the Peoria region for the first time. However, it was in 2009 when God first spoke to me about Peoria, Illinois...
I'll never forget, I was at a large worship conference in Indiana when a man walked up to me among a crowd of strange faces. This stranger (at the time) prophesied to me and said, "I don't know you, but I just heard the Lord tell me He was going to give you a significant voice for Peoria, Illinois." At the time when he shared this word with me, I lived in a different city and wondered how these words could be so.
Almost immediately after he spoke his prophetic word, I began to have spiritual dreams of massive revivals breaking out in Peoria, Illinois. I saw societal, economic, and cultural reformation result from the Kingdom moving in Peoria.
In one specific dream, I was taken into the heavens over Peoria to meet with apostolic and prophetic leaders in America to strategize over the region, because we all knew that "IF IT PLAYS IN PEORIA," IT WILL PLAY THROUGHOUT THE NATION. That dream revealed to me that Peoria has a potential to function as type of "hinge pin" for the nation.
At that time, I didn't know that the famous saying "If it plays in Peoria" (or "Will it play in Peoria?") was rooted in an understanding that this city was a micro-representation of the rest of the nation at the time; if something succeeded there, it would succeed anywhere! Several major businesses and companies used this city as a test market to see if "it plays in Peoria."
I discovered upon doing research that one potential interpretation of the name "Peoria" is derived from a native word meaning "TO DREAM WITH THE HELP OF A MANITOU [OMNIPRESENT ONE]" (Wikipedia).
Wow! It's literally a city made to dream!
A Book Called Peoria
Dream from the early summer of 2024:
In the dream, I walked into my friend Steve's home in Tennessee. In real life he has ALS. We have prayed for him many times, but it had been a couple years since seeing him. In the dream, when I walked into his home, I saw many people celebrating. I saw him and his wife but then had to do a double take, because Steve was no longer in his wheelchair. He was standing up and walking.
Steve ran over to me, grabbed me in his arms, and picked me up. I was stunned and just began to weep, putting my head down on a table and weeping with shock and thanksgiving!
I then turned to his wife and said, "What happened and what got him to this miracle? Then his wife said, "We read a book called Peoria." I knew immediately by revelation that God was saying, "They dared to dream with Me. They learned to let the dreams I gave them to inspire their hope and faith in Me."
"Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said, 'You are spies! You have come to see if our land is vulnerable.'" (Genesis 42:9 BSB)
Key phrase: "Joseph remembered his dreams." How many times did those dreams serve as an anchor to Joseph during his many years of slavery and imprisonment? And then, finally, after not letting go of them, or of faith in God, the dream unfolded before his eyes!
We must all carry the dreams of God in our hearts, not letting go of what God has shown or spoken! To dream with God is to hold fast to His Word, to His report, even when everything in the natural circumstances look contrary to it. (Photo via GetArchive)
"He sent a man before them—Joseph—who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him." (Psalm 105:17–19 NKJV)
The Time of Revival Is Springing Up Again!
On a past Sunday (May 25, 2025), I attended the church in the Peoria region of the man who first prophesied over me in Indiana. This man now lives and pastors a church in Peoria. During worship I recognized the Spirit of Prophecy in the atmosphere.
I stood on stage and prophesied that the storm of the Lord was moving into the region, and that the winds of adversity that the enemy had sown would now reap the "whirlwinds" of God! I specifically found myself prophesying, "Dream again! Dream again!"
After I shared this word, a woman stood on stage with two bottles of water in her hand. She specifically brought them to give to the pastors as a prophetic declaration that it was now time for revival to spring up! What I didn't know was that the water she had brought came from the "Peoria Mineral Spring," known to be one of the oldest, continuously flowing springs in America. However, access to the spring water had been shut down in the late 80s.
What I also didn't know was that a prophet named Chuck Pierce had come to Peoria in 1995 and prophesied that when the Peoria Mineral Spring was flowing and accessible again, it would signify the time of revival springing up in Peoria again! Amazingly (also unknown to me), local intercessors had prayed into that word for thirty years. The woman who had the spring water in her hand said that, for the first time since the waters stopped in April of 2025, this flowing spring had now become available and accessible to the city again!
This same woman shared how, on May 4, 2025, she had gone to Texas to give Chuck Pierce a bottle of the spring water he had prophesied about. He took the bottle of water and dedicated it to the Lord, saying, "This is the first of the 'divine recovery' of the springs of revival."
If this wasn't enough of a confirmation of "what time it is," a week prior, I had a dream of seeing this region, and I saw a woman's face superimposed across the horizon. She was prophesying and declaring things over the entire region.
The woman I saw in my dream had been a powerful intercessor in this area for decades. She went to be with the Lord a few years ago.
The dream had me asking, "What does this mean?" And I sensed the Lord say, "The prayers and prophecies of the previous generations are still alive, and I am watching over My words to perform them!"
From "Junk City" to a Flowing Spring
So, what is all of this about, and what does it have to do with America?
Well, I heard from my local pastor that in the mid 80s, on the world news, he saw a news anchor make an announcement about a study done of all the cities across America. The news anchor said, "The study finds that Los Angeles, California is the most prosperous city in America, and Peoria, Illinois is the most recessed city in America."
I believe it is just like God to take a city that is known as "Junk City" and make it the place where a spring can flow from within! A city that—in the midst of difficult, despairing, dark circumstances—will determine to dream with Him!
Can anything good come from Nazareth? Can anything good come from Peoria?
I believe the Lord finds the Nazareth-type cities, which have the reputation of being junk, to be the same places where salvation springs up! The places where dreams are birthed and nations are saved! (Photo via Picryl)
Revival, recovery, renewal, restoration, and reformation are going to spring forth in Peoria, Illinois. And IF IT PLAYS IN PEORIA, it's going to play across America!
This word is not about hype! It's about seizing upon a divine moment! What God wants to do here, He wants to do everywhere! It's time to believe that the springs can flow again. It's time to dream again with God! It's time to lay hold of all of that for which Christ laid hold of us (Philippians 3:12)!
I prophesy to the winds over Peoria: Release the whirlwinds of Heaven! Let the dreams of God be birthed here! Let salvation spring up from the ground!
I prophesy that sent ones are coming into Peoria! Even some of the prodigals of the city shall be returning. Apostles in government, church, and business will be sent here, even from other states! New businesses will begin to build and grow here, for the soil is now holding roots!
I prophesy to the four winds over America—to the slain cities across the nation: "Live again!" Where satan has sown the winds of destruction in the cities of America, he is now reaping the whirlwinds! Dreams are returning to the people, and salvation is springing up from the ground!
Dream again, America, and may the wells of revival spring up across this nation!
Ride the Wind of My Spirit!
I hear the Lord say, "To the intercessors, to the weary frontliners, to those who sought to make a difference: NOW, ride the wind of My Spirit moving across the land, for I am sending a 'momentous wind' that is the fulfillment of My promise 'Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit,'" says the Lord!
"Seize the momentum of My movement, and to My 'yes' add your 'amen'! For I am sending the whirlwinds, the sudden breakthroughs, turnarounds, and surprises! Rise and pray! Rise and praise! Rise and prophesy! Do not be moved by hype but by hope! My hope will not disappoint."
"Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live." (Ezekiel 37:9 KJV)
We Are Moving Into the Times of Greater Healing and Miracles
Dream from June 19, 2025:
In my dream, I heard a voice say, "We are moving into the times of greater healing and miracles." I then saw Tim Sheets' and Dutch Sheets' faces flash before me, and I had a knowing that the prayers they have raised up for massive healing have NOT gone unheard!
End of dream.
This dream, to me, has prophetic potency! It wasn't on my radar, but I know it has been on God's!
I had briefly seen something on social media about Dutch Sheets and Tim Sheets raising up prayer for massive healing; however, that was the extent of what I knew, and with the busyness of my own life, I have been completely disconnected from any involvement or specific knowledge about their initiative. But to me this dream signifies that what has begun in prayer will be answered with fire!
I do believe that God is a healer all the time, and not just in certain seasons! However, it's impossible not to also see that throughout Scripture, even in the New Testament times, there were seasons of visitation and outpouring! (Photo via Unsplash)
This dream gives me great faith to continue to agree with the prayers and hope of an increasing move of God's healing and miracle-working power operating through His Kingdom in the earth!
Lord, I add my "amen" to the "yes" of Your promises! I agree with Your word, that You are even now moving with greater demonstration of Your dominion over sickness, disease, and death! May the slain Lamb receive the rewards of His sufferings! May Your healing virtue now be released to those who need Your miraculous touch, in Jesus Christ's name!
This dream connects to the revelation of "Dreaming with the Omnipresent One for healing." WE must see the breakthrough by faith; we must see the healing that Christ has purchased through His sufferings at calvary and contend for that!
Some of us need to return to what God has given us in dreams, what we have seen in visions, and have imagined through the prophetic Spirit of God, and believe again!
"You Haven't Seen Anything Yet... The Best Is Yet Ahead"
Encounter from May 24, 2025:
I love when the Lord contradicts me! Like on May 24, when I sort of started to look ahead in time and didn't realize that what I saw was being framed by a negativity that felt real, but I couldn't discern where it was coming from. My first thought was to agree with it as potential truth, because it seemed so second nature to believe it. At that moment, I began to agree with this framing of the future. I felt a cloud of oppression that was "oh, so familiar," like a heavy fog that whispers despair.
Immediately, the voice of the Lord contradicted me, and He said, "You are being framed to see the future through despair, and it is a lie." Then I heard immediately after that, "You haven't seen anything yet... The best is yet ahead."
As one who has sought to know and discern God's voice, I will affirm one thing that has been my constant experience with it. When His voice speaks, it's not merely words; it's spiritual life! His words inject His Spirit and life in such a way as to cause one's heart to soar into the realm of His dwelling! In this realm are thoughts, perspectives, and truth meant to destroy every stronghold of thinking that protects the narratives of darkness!
Let me reiterate what I heard today so that you will also hear it and soar: "You haven't seen anything yet! The best is yet ahead!"
"But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: 'Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?'" (John 12:37–38 NKJV)
WE must believe the report of the Lord, what has He spoken—what is truth according to His Word and the heavenly reality!
