This word about restoration is building and growing, and it is released to you today in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare restoration and divine acceleration in 2025!
We pray for you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ: The Lord is calling forth a season of restoration and divine acceleration over your life. By the authority of His Word, we declare that every season of loss, every moment of devastation caused by the "locusts" in your life, shall be transformed into a harvest of abundance. The Lord Himself is breaking the chains of captivity, rearranging time, and bringing you into a place of divine alignment and amplification.
Recovering What Was Lost with Increase—Even Time!
Whatever was stolen, delayed, or destroyed is now being restored with an increase. The meeting point between your desires and God's provision is established, and you will not be bypassed again. Mysteries, marvels, and divine wonders will now become your reality, and the glory of God will lift you above every limitation.
When the Lord sends His Word, it is built over time and confirmed through His Spirit. In this season, the word of restoration has been confirmed repeatedly. God is not only restoring what was lost during trials, attacks, and confusion (including time), He is also adding to it, bringing divine acceleration to recover what was stolen and multiplying it for His glory.
Joel 2:24–26 captures this promise of restoration:
"The threshing floors shall be full of grain; the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, My great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never again be put to shame."
This restoration isn't merely a return to the status quo; it's a divine reordering, where what was once barren will become a place of overflow and fruitfulness. That which was lost in time will be restored. God not only restores time but destroys the forces that cause destruction. He positions His people for a supernatural harvest of abundance and breakthrough.
Restoration, Rebuilding Ruins, and Multiplication
Jeremiah 30:18–19 offers a powerful picture of God's restoration and multiplication:
"Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob and have compassion on his dwellings; the city shall be rebuilt on its mound, and the palace shall stand where it used to be. Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving and the voices of those who celebrate. I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will make them honored, and they shall not be small." This passage highlights God's promise to rebuild what was destroyed and to multiply His people with honor and abundance. The city rebuilt on its mound signifies not only restoration but also a solid foundation for the future, which we find in Christ Jesus. The palace rising from ruins demonstrates that God's restoration often includes greater glory than what was lost. Songs of thanksgiving replace sorrow, and what was once desolation becomes a place of celebration and fruitfulness.
The Nature of Divine Restoration
In the realm of restoration, God operates beyond the limits of human time. He compresses seasons, allowing what might take years to happen in moments. This divine acceleration transforms years of devastation into a testimony of redemption and abundance.
Abraham's story exemplifies God's faithfulness to His promises. Though decades passed before Isaac's birth, the fulfillment of the promise unleashed multi-generational blessings. Romans 4:20–21 highlights his unwavering faith: "He did not waver in unbelief at God's promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, because he was fully convinced that what God had promised, He was also able to do." God's restoration in Abraham's life laid the foundation for nations to arise from his lineage.
Paul's transformation from a persecutor of Christians to an apostle of Christ illustrates divine acceleration. Within a short span of time, Paul's ministry established churches, wrote much of the New Testament, and shaped the early Church. Philippians 3:13–14 reveals his focus: "...forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Naomi's life was marked by loss, but her story became one of divine redemption through Ruth. Ruth's loyalty and Boaz's role as a kinsman-redeemer restored Naomi's lineage and brought joy to her life. Ruth 4:14–15 celebrates her restoration: "...Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a redeemer, and may his name be renowned in Israel! He shall be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age..."
The Four Types of Locusts
Joel 2:25 speaks of God's promise to restore the years consumed by four types of locusts, each representing unique challenges and spiritual attacks. This passage reminds us of God's ability to redeem and multiply what has been lost and accelerate time to bring us into a restored state. In these examples, during the process, sometimes we live in divine tensions between lack and abundance, blessing and persecution, joy and trials. Regardless, we must look to the promises in faith.
1. Swarming Locusts (Arbeh)
The swarming locusts are described as vast numbers that overwhelm and consume everything in their path. I believe they can symbolize overwhelming trials or attacks that come in waves, leaving behind devastation and disorder. Yet, God's promise in Joel 2:25 assures us that even in the face of such chaos, He can restore order and bring abundance from what was consumed.
Isaiah 43:2 reminds us of God's sustaining presence: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." Even amidst overwhelming circumstances, God's protection and victory ensure restoration and peace. Jesus' words in John 16:33 further affirm this truth: "...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
2. Hopping Locusts (Yeleq)
The hopping locusts, though small, are persistent and capable of causing significant damage over time. They reflect minor issues, attacks, or sins that, if left unchecked, grow into significant challenges. Song of Solomon 2:15 reminds us to "catch the little foxes that destroy the vineyards," highlighting the importance of addressing small problems early. Similarly, Hebrews 12:1 urges us to "throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles," encouraging vigilance in dealing with persistent struggles. God's redemption is thorough, restoring even what has been worn away through such persistent challenges.
3. Destroying Locusts (Chasil)
The destroying locusts devastate entirely, leaving nothing untouched. They can represent severe, life-altering losses that feel insurmountable. Jeremiah 30:17 declares, "I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," a promise of God's power to bring restoration and healing from even the greatest devastations. Acts 14:22 reminds us that "we must go through many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God." These tribulations, though painful, often refine and strengthen our faith.
Paul's reflection in 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 underscores this truth: though we may be "hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair," God's sustaining power remains with us, ensuring restoration in His perfect timing. 4. Cutting Locusts (Gazam)
The cutting locusts strip away everything, leaving nothing behind. I believe they symbolize barrenness and profound loss, where hope seems unattainable. Isaiah 54 provides a beautiful picture of how God brings supernatural fruitfulness out of barrenness. Verse one proclaims, "'Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,' says the Lord." This passage reveals God's heart to bring increase and multiplication where there was once lack.
Isaiah 61:7 further offers reassurance, proclaiming, "Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance..." This promise aligns with the truth found in Ephesians 3:20, which declares that God is "able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." Even in the deepest spiritual barrenness, His restoration overflows and exceeds expectations, bringing new life and abundance.
The imagery of locusts in Joel 2:25 reveals the different ways loss and challenges can manifest in our lives. Whether through overwhelming trials, persistent struggles, severe devastations, or spiritual barrenness, God's promise remains steadfast: He will restore the years that the locusts have eaten. His restoration is not just a return to the former state but an abundant overflow, reminding us to trust Him in every season of loss and to look forward to His redemptive work in our lives. As Romans 8:28 affirms, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
Divine Multiplication Beyond Restoration
God's restoration always involves multiplication. Here are some examples of divine multiplication:
1. Job's Double Portion for All His Trouble (Job 42:10)
Consider Job, who received twice as much as he had before. This multiplication reflects God's heart to bless His people abundantly. Job's story is one of immense loss, yet God restored him with twice as much as he had before. This illustrates that God's restoration often exceeds what was originally taken, reflecting His abundant nature.
2. The Feeding of the 5,000 (John 6:1–14)
One of the most vivid examples of God's multiplication is when Jesus fed 5,000 people with just five loaves and two fish. Not only was there enough to satisfy everyone, but twelve baskets of leftovers remained. This miracle highlights that when we bring what little we have to God, He can multiply it beyond what we could imagine.
3. The Widow's Oil (2 Kings 4:1–7)
When a prophet's widow faced insurmountable debt, Elisha instructed her to gather empty jars and pour out the little oil she had. Miraculously, the oil multiplied until every jar was filled. This story shows how God provides in supernatural ways, meeting immediate needs while often leaving an overflow. (Photo via Piqsels)
4. Joseph's Elevation (Genesis 41:37–57)
Joseph's trials led to his elevation to second-in-command in Egypt. Through God's favor, he was not only restored but positioned to save entire nations from famine. His story demonstrates how God's multiplication can extend beyond personal restoration to impact others.
5. Naomi and Ruth (Ruth 4:13–17)
Naomi, who had lost everything, found restoration through her daughter-in-law Ruth's loyalty and Boaz's kindness. Their union brought forth a lineage that led to King David and, ultimately, Jesus Christ. This example shows how God's restoration and multiplication have generational significance.
6. The Early Church (Acts 2:41–47)
After Pentecost, the Holy Spirit's outpouring led to the multiplication of Believers. Three thousand were added to the Church in a single day. This multiplication of people and resources underscores how God's blessings often expand His Kingdom through unity and obedience.
These examples reveal that God's restoration is rarely about returning to the starting point; it's about increasing and multiplying for His glory. Whether through material provision, spiritual outpouring, or generational impact, God's multiplication reflects His desire to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Prophetic Declaration for Restoration
I decree over you in the name of Jesus: The time of your captivity has ended. Every locust—swarming, hopping, destroying, and cutting—is being rebuked by the Lord. God is rearranging time for you, bringing divine acceleration and supernatural provision. You will accomplish in one year what others labor a lifetime to achieve. Mysteries, marvels, and wonders are now your portion. No bad news will come to your dwelling, and nothing around you will die prematurely. The glory of God is resting upon you, and abundance is assigned to your path. Divine treasure houses are open, and access is granted to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
Step into this season of restoration and multiplication. Trust God's power to redeem the years the locusts have eaten, and prepare to overflow with abundance as you walk into your destiny.
Redeeming the Time
Ephesians 5:15–16 encapsulates the charge to walk wisely in this season of restoration and divine acceleration: "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil."
This call to "redeem the time" highlights the urgency of engaging with God's Spirit of restoration through Christ. It reminds us that walking circumspectly is not passive; it requires intentionality, alignment with God's will, and active participation in His redemptive work. Redeeming the time involves recovering lost opportunities and stepping into divine acceleration that transforms loss into Kingdom multiplication.
As we embrace the power of God's restorative promise, we align our hearts and actions with His purposes, ensuring that every moment is filled with eternal significance. The days may be evil, but through Christ we are empowered to restore what has been lost, accelerate His purposes, and walk into the fullness of our Kingdom destiny.
