Tammie Southerland: The Victory and the War Horn

Tammie Southerland, Atlanta, Georgia
Nov 29, 2024

Intro from Jeff Tharp:

I first met Tammie Southerland at a conference earlier this year. From the moment that we met, I knew that I needed to bring her onto ElijahFire. She carries tremendous authority in the way of intercession, as well as a deep passion for youth and revival. She knows the Lord intimately, walks humbly, and speaks with great purpose.

Below, Tammie shares a word of the Lord that she received the day before Election Day, on November 4, 2024. Much has been said of what this Election Day would entail by others; however, this word speaks of what is to follow the election.

Let us cast our eyes to the horizon, stand firm in the Lord in the days ahead, and speak to the imminent revival that will sweep across the face of the earth!

If you would like to hear Tammie Southerland's episode about this prophetic word and more, check out ElijahFire Episode 531: The Post-Election Spiritual Shift. For more on what Tammie has to say concerning intercession, I would also like to recommend her ElijahFire teaching series, Becoming an Intercessor.

Prophetic word of the Lord from Tammie Southerland:

The Beginning of Labor Pains and a Harvest of Youth

Since 2013, the Lord has been speaking to me about a revival among Generation Z and Generation Alpha. I saw my daughter, Eden, with hands raised, weeping, and heard the Lord say, "When your daughters are teenagers, I will pour out My Spirit and release a youth revival unlike any other."

This generation, marked by confusion and searching for identity, will see a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

We're in what Matthew 24 describes as the beginning of labor pains (Matthew 24:8). Leading up to this, the Lord has been training our hands for battle (Psalm 144:1), preparing intercessors and warriors for this very moment. (Photo via Snappy Goat)

The night before the elections, I sensed the birth pains intensifying. While some believe labor has already begun, I sensed we were only in the Braxton Hicks stage. Now, true labor begins—a move of God destined to bring in a harvest through young adults.

The Lord is in control of times and seasons, and though the enemy seeks to hasten the day of his wrath, he is defeated. Scriptures says to ask the Lord of the harvest to send His laborers into His fields (Matthew 9:38), which is a promise that He will provide them. He will turn the hearts of fathers to sons and sons to fathers (Malachi 4:6), breaking off confusion and bringing clarity, identity, and zeal to Generation Z for the house of the Lord (John 2:17).

This revival will be marked by restored intercession, pure worship, and deliverance. Revelation shows us the vision of "the Lamb at the center of the throne" (Revelation 7:17) and the "Lion of the tribe of Judah" (Revelation 5:5). This move is the "Harp and Bowl" reality, restored and purified—worship and prayer joining as one, with full honor and embodiment of the full council of the Lord, the seven-fold Spirit of God (Revelation 1:5, 5:6; Isaiah 11:2–3). We are in the best of times and the worst of times, standing on the brink of an unprecedented outpouring that could possibly bring forth a purified Bride.

The Victory and the War Horn

"[America, America], satan has asked to sift you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, [America], that your faith will not fail..." (Luke 22:31–32).

On Monday night [November 4, 2024] while in intercession, I heard the thundering voice of the Lord piercing the heavens with this declaration. In a vision, I saw the Lord take His seat, and before Him the books were opened. A call went forth, summoning the heavenly council as the intercessions of the saints rose before the throne (Daniel 7:9–10; Revelation 5:8).

He reminded me of what He spoke to me on the floor of Rees Howells' Blue Room in Wales, where I wept at the sound of intercession that went forth in past generations during World War II.

Rees Howells and the intercessors of the Bible College of Wales entered into a dimension of prophetic prayer so profound that it altered the course of history. As detailed in Rees Howells: Intercessor, they sought the counsel of the Lord in the heavenly realms, discerning His strategies and partnering with His will to push back the darkness of Hitler's regime. Their intercessions brought breakthrough during the darkest hours of World War II, most notably at Dunkirk, where God's hand was undeniably at work.

When I stood in the Blue Room, the very place where they travailed, I could feel their groans still reverberating—a supernatural echo of the prayers that birthed victory. It was there that the Lord gripped my spirit and declared, "Where they prayed for the war to end, your generation is praying for a war to begin."

The Spirit was heavy, and I understood that a divine alignment was unfolding and the synergy of the ages was coming together. This is the beginning of the beginning of the labor pains (Matthew 24:8).

This war is not only spiritual but is manifesting in the tremors of our day: wars, rumors of wars, and the shaking of nations. These are the birth pains Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:6–8, pointing us toward the final clash between light and darkness.

The Lord is raising up a new breed of intercessors, a holy priesthood who will groan and cry out, not for comfort, but for the Kingdom of God to come with power even as it stirs unrest in the natural. The messengers of this hour are called to stand in the gap, waging war against satan's attempt to hasten the day of evil (2 Thessalonians 2:7) and align with Heaven's intercession that will culminate in Jesus' return, when He destroys the wicked with the breath of His mouth (2 Thessalonians 2:8) and establishes His reign as Eternal King (Revelation 19:11–16). This is not a time to shrink back but to rise up. The physical wars and unrest we witness are mirrors of the greater spiritual battle in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). God is calling His people to step into the intensity of intercession, to groan with the Spirit (Romans 8:26–27) as we birth His purposes on the earth. The shaking of nations is an invitation to partner with Heaven, to war in prayer, and to cry out for the King of glory to come—yes—as the worthy slain Lamb, but also as the Lion who will establish justice, separate the wheat from the tares (Matthew 13:30), and reign forevermore.

The Trump Is a Signal

Then I heard, "The Trump will be heard like a trumpet across the earth; the nations will rage, and the war will begin" (Psalm 2:1–3).

The trump is a signal—a war horn announcing a time of reckoning. Yet, amid the coming upheaval, the Lord says, "My people must abide in Me and My peace amidst global turbulence. They must take their seat" (John 14:27).

We have been in a time of preparation in our groaning, crying out for the "next great move of God." Like Hannah, we have pleaded for a pure priesthood, evil to be defeated, and a holy generation to arise (1 Samuel 1:11). And God, who hears the groans of His people, is answering (Exodus 3:7).

A Great Sifting and a Profound Move of God

However, the next president of the United States will not be "savior." Instead, he will serve as a catalyst, provoking a "Psalm 2" type of global rage. Nations will conspire, kings will rise up, but the Lord says, "He who sits in the heavens laughs" (Psalm 2:4). His purposes are steadfast, and His dominion endures through all generations.

In this season, we will witness one of the greatest revivals and reformations in history after a great sifting—a profound move of God that will transform hearts and nations. Like Simon Peter, the Church of America will be tested and suddenly restored.

Yet, this revival will come amid a great shaking and war, as the heavens and earth are shaken so that only what cannot be shaken will remain (Hebrews 12:26–27). The Lord is calling His people to stand firm, unwavering, and prepared for what lies ahead.

I do not assume that America is the beginning or the end for the world, but we are a major influence. God uses imperfect leaders, according to His purposes, as He pleases (Proverbs 21:1).
