Mandy Adendorff: Prepare Yourself, for the Younger Brother Is Coming

Mandy Adendorff, New England
Oct 20, 2024

His Mercy Is Coming to Deep Darkness

Jesus was born in a dark place, in Galilee of the Gentiles. He was born amongst the rebellious and amongst the religious. He was born amongst those who rebelled harshly against Him, and He came to those who carried the Pharisee spirit.

Just like then, His mercy is coming to those who are in deep, deep darkness. He will be 'born' among them, and they will know Jesus and the Father, and the Lord will come to them.

He is not afraid of the pig pen; He is not afraid of the ones who have covered themselves in dung and mud and delighted in evil. He is coming after the least and the worst... and also to the elder brother.

The Spirit of Barnabas Will Once Again Visit the Church

Many will be raised up with the heart of Barnabas who will assist those in transition, to help them let go and come fully to Him, and to introduce them to others in the Kingdom. And we must be ready; we don't want to lack understanding as the elder brother.

Those who have known and walked with the Father and the Son must embrace their younger brother. We must embrace the one who has rebelled and chosen filth over the Father, and slime over the Son. The older brother must embrace them as they come and join with the Father in celebration.

No longer will we have to tell them that abortion is wrong, or teach about common sense, or about the design of God over mankind, because when they come to the Father, they will come as the prodigal son came.

In their hearts they will say, "I have sinned, and I am not worthy to be a son; make me a servant." They will come with humility and with readiness to leave all to be in the Father's house. They will not be entitled. They will not try and bring in their old slavery ways, but they will come in brokenness and gratitude. (Photo via Picryl)

The Lord and Elder Brother Will Teach the Younger

And the Lord will teach them His ways, and we will model this for them, and see many being received and raised up in the Father's house. And there will be a temptation for us to spurn them in unbelief, to remember their old ways, but remember, 'whosoever may come' to the Lord.

There will be a great revival from the left and the right, and those who have been steadfast in this season—who have fought for righteousness and justice—will lead and will nurture and mentor those who come in.

Prepare Yourself

Prepare your hearts now with the same attitude as the prodigal, the heart that says, "Make me a servant, for I am unworthy to be a son." A heart that is filled with gratitude when the Father says, "But you are indeed My son." A heart that is willing to leave all behind to follow Him. A heart that has no entitlement and nothing on the table except open hands, willing to receive what the Lord has.

Let's be ready. It is the Father's delight to give us the Kingdom. He is so good. We have prayed and labored; now the harvest is at the door. But the harvest will not look like perfect people. We will be called to help them walk through the transition of leaving what needs to be left behind and embrace the new.

You Must Leave the Old to Enter into the New

Revelation 12:11 teaches us the only way to overcome evil. It is all about leaving the old.

"They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death."

We understand victory by the blood of the Lamb and the word or our testimony, but we must also understand the power of not shrinking back from death. We are so afraid of dying that we often skip this part and miss the treasure of this revelation. We fail to understand that He is the God who gives us life and life abundantly. He is the God of John 10:10. (Photo via Flickr)

The same Jesus who told the rich man that he needed to leave all his stuff to follow Jesus was the same one who explained to His disciples that those who left all would receive more, even in this lifetime (see Mark 10:29–30). This was the same God who told Abraham to give Him his only son, and yet our God never took Abraham's son, but instead gave Abraham and his future generations His own Son Jesus!

He is not the God who takes but the God who gives. When He asks us to lay our lives down for Him, it is a military strategy. There are seasons when He asks us to let everything go, because when we let everything go, we are letting go of all false alignments that we've had in our lives. Even demonic practices may have felt good or seemed to have light, but we need to let go of everything, lay it all down, and die. Then He will show us what to pick up and reveal what was foul and deceptive.

The Younger Brother Is Coming!

These who are coming are going to lay all down to follow Him. They will lay down their false sexual identities. They will lay down their false comforts. They will lay down their entitlements. They will lay down their selfishness. But right now it is time for the older brother, who is the Church, to lay down all before Him; it is time to prepare our own hearts, for the younger brother is coming! It's time to prepare a feast, and a place for them.

They are going to know Jesus and the Father. They will not come for signs and wonders, or to have their tummies filled with food, but deep is calling unto the deep. The Spirit of truth is calling them to leave all to be joined to the heart of God.
