Angels of Fire
Some weeks ago, someone sent me a dream that revealed angelic assistance in my life, specifically related to the colors red and yellow. I immediately knew it was of the seraphim order. They had been highlighted to me last year through some personal encounters during a time of intense spiritual warfare. Seraphim attend the fiery altar of the Lord (Ezekiel 1), and these heavenly messengers brought me into a baptism of fire which had a profound impact on my life at that time. I knew it was a foretaste of what was coming to the collective Body of Christ in the days ahead.
Two days before I received this dream about angelic assistance, I had a dream where I was shown a mass of intercessors and prayer warriors waiting for instructions. A heavenly messenger was going through their ranks, dressed in red, exhorting everyone to prepare. He had an instrument which measured both "intake" and "output" according to one's time with the Lord. He was reminding each one present that their level of effectual prayer was directly tied to their time spent with Him. The messenger was urging each one to engage at their greatest capacity for this next corporate assignment.
Then an intercessor and prophetic seer at our church shared that he had seen an angel standing at the front of our church wearing a red sash. Though he has seen many angels come and go in our sanctuary in past months, he had never seen one wearing a red sash.
I began to inquire of the Lord concerning these heavenly messengers dressed in red. I knew by the Spirit that these were messengers of fire, uniquely clothed for a sovereign work of the Lord.
In Isaiah 63:2, the Lord wears garments of red as He goes into battle against His enemies. A similar reference is in Revelation 19:13, when He comes to wreak vengeance on His enemies. In Nahum 2:3, His "mighty men" are clothed in red when Nineveh comes under severe judgment. This is around 100 years after Nineveh is initially spared, due to their repentance. (Photo via Pexels)
I believe these references to being clothed in red indicate the power of Christ's Blood that grants Him authority over His enemies. Angels of fire assist in the Lord's work by purging His people of sin and compromise (Isaiah 6:6–7) and burning up all His enemies (Isaiah 66:15).
A Code Red and a Crucible: What God Is Speaking to the American Church
As I continued to pray into these revelations and the weight of these truths, I then heard the words "code red" and "crucible." I knew the Lord was letting us know that what lies ahead may be challenging but carries the promise for His greater glory to be revealed. This is the essence of what I believe the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the corporate Church in America in this hour:
CODE RED! Be on the alert! Prepare for the fires of His passion and zeal. Prepare for a sovereign work as He takes us through a crucible of His fiery presence. For there is coming a corporate baptism of fire as He burns up His enemies and judges those who have stood against Him.
"The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts." (Proverbs 17:3)
These fires are not unto our destruction, but unto our consecration. Do not fear the flames, but embrace the fire of His presence. He will be as a wall of fire around us and the glory in our midst (Zechariah 2:5). Immerse yourself in His presence and hold your ground. Though many may fall, those who stand faithful and true will remain.
The angels of His presence go before Him to prepare the way. Do not give in to fear but fix your gaze on Him and He will bring us through. Though we may feel the sting, the fire of His presence will purify and empower us. We will come forth as gold, vessels of glory and honor.
"...when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior..." (Isaiah 43:2–3)
These fires will emerge from the whirlwind of His presence (Isaiah 66:15; Nahum 1:3). It is out of the whirlwind that He will speak and He will act (Job 40:6). Watch for the whirlwinds, as they will be signs of His dealings.
Many have known and experienced the baptism of His Spirit, but this baptism of fire will yield even greater manifestations of His Kingdom authority on the earth (Matthew 3:11–12). All that has hindered and delayed His advancement will be removed. All who have stood in the way and defied His commands will know their end.
Do not concern yourself with timetables or timelines. Merely yield to Heaven's work in this hour. It is unto the knowledge of His glory that the fires must burn and His people must pass through. (Photo via Pxfuel)
"For You, O God, have tested us; You have tried us as silver is tried. You brought us into the net; You laid a crushing burden on our backs; You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet You have brought us out to a place of abundance." (Psalm 66:10–12)
The Lord has been preparing us for this.
The Baptism of Fire
Last August, the Lord spoke about this corporate baptism of fire:
"It is when My glory is manifested that all will bow and acknowledge the sovereignty of My rule and authority. Nothing of the flesh can operate in My glory, but only those who have prepared. For there is a price to this place of absolute victory and freedom. It is at the altar of sacrifice and total surrender, where My fire falls. It is only THROUGH THE FIRE that you can enter this place of glory! It is only through My BAPTISM OF FIRE that one can fully engage in these realms of My glory...
"This is not just a fire of Pentecostal passion, but the fire of purification. It will cost you everything, but will yield an outpouring of My glory that no man can counterfeit and no demon can penetrate."
The enemies of God have lit fires for our destruction, but the sovereign Lord makes His messengers winds, and His ministers a flaming fire with which to burn up His foes and deliver His people (Psalm 104:4).
The coming crucible will test men's praise (Proverbs 27:21). Become a habitation of His presence. Embrace His baptism of fire, and we will come through in glory.
