"Beloved daughter, if you are always looking for the peaceful places without problems or challenges, then you must question whether I can ever truly use you to stand on the front lines of battle to contend for My Kingdom!"

That is a word from the Lord that really makes you stop in your tracks, so to speak! As you read through these powerful words from the Lord through Veronika, know that God is strengthening and training you to be the mighty warriors He's called you to be! "...And He said to them, 'Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able!'" (Luke 13:23-24)

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14)

How narrow is the narrow way?

"Beloved daughter, if you are always looking for the peaceful places without problems or challenges, then you must question whether I can ever truly use you to stand on the front lines of battle to contend for My Kingdom!"

Recently I was reminded again of these words when I was facing many challenges. They defined many things for me, and have truly challenged my heart on many occasions, as I continue to journey with Him into the unknown places.

The Narrow Way

Now, as I was contemplating this, I heard the Spirit whisper, "My beloved, how narrow is the narrow way?"

I replied, "Tell me, Holy Spirit. Tell me just how narrow is the narrow way?"

The Holy Spirit replied, "Beloved, it's the way of total reliance and complete dependency on the Way Maker (that's Me), the Promise Keeper (that's Me), and the Light in the darkness (that's Me)!

"Beloved, how narrow is the narrow way? I tell you, it's the way that requires total surrender to My Spirit – total yieldedness to My power. Daughter, it's a deeper realm and dimension of total abandonment and absolute relinquishment to My Word and to My will."

As I heard those words, I cried out, "Father, let Your Kingdom come, let Your will be done, on Earth – in me first – as it is in Heaven. Then let Your Kingdom come and let Your will be done in my territory, in my region and in my nation, and in the nations (first in me, an earthen vessel)!" (Photo via Unsplash)

Again, I heard Him say, "Beloved, how narrow is the narrow way? Do not think it strange that My Spirit leads you by a unfamiliar path, the road less traveled, the way of solitude and even seeming silence.

"Beloved, how narrow is the narrow way? It's the way of intimacy, the place of activation and impartation, the place of divine exchange, where My Spirit broods and overshadows you – where what you behold, you become! For it's here that you will learn to lean, to incline your ear to My gentle whispers. It is here that I will teach you, train you, and transform your life for My glory!

"But fear not! Put your life in My hands. Trust in My timing, and fix your gaze upon My face. Freedom does not mean unrestricted liberty, for I put boundaries and safeguards around that which is precious to My heart. I set My angels in charge to watch and to uphold that which is priceless to Me. The garrison walls of My glory protect and preserve your soul from the way of worldly abandon. Beloved, you are Mine, and you belong to Me! No enemy shall touch you or harm you.

"Beloved, how narrow is the narrow way? It's the way that's paved by the stones of faith, love and radical hope, but a way forged by the fires of affliction, suffering and great sacrifice. It's a way that leads to the door of abundant life and greater liberty. Yes! It's the narrowness of the narrow way that brings forth mighty warriors, mantled with might and power – the birthing place of fearless, brave hearts who have ventured into the land of giants, and returned with a victory shout!

"So I ask you, beloved, how narrow is the narrow way? I tell you, it's like the eye of the needle. It's a place where the greatest level of demonic warfare is taking place, where the very birthright and destiny of nations are being violently contended for, a place of intense wrestling for the blessing.

"It's the way that is steep and rocky that requires sure footing and keen vision, the place of the hinds' feet anointing. For it's only in the high places that divine perspective is received, and its in the deeper realms and dimensions of My glory that great battles are fought and won!"

Friends, God is always purposeful, so when we are experiencing (or have experienced) a time of great battle, it causes a hunger and a thirst for Him. God will often allow us to go through intense battles because they can become a catalyst for intense thirsting after the rivers of His refreshing power.

The Jawbone Anointing

The other morning I was taken to Judges 15:15-19:

"He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it. Then Samson said:

"'With the jawbone of a donkey, heaps upon heaps, with the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men!' (Photo via Picryl)

"And so it was, when he had finished speaking, that he threw the jawbone from his hand, and called that place Ramath Lehi.

"Then he became very thirsty; so he cried out to the Lord and said, 'You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant; and now shall I die of thirst and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?' So God split the hollow place that is in Lehi, and water came out, and he drank; and his spirit returned, and he revived. Therefore he called its name En Hakkore, which is in Lehi to this day."

Ramath Lehi means "the hill of the jawbone," and En Hakkore means "the spring of him who prayed"!

I heard the Spirit say, "I AM releasing the waters of refreshing for those that have become weary in battle. Ha! Watch, for I AM releasing a fresh anointing of My Spirit in the mouths of My remnant in this hour, and their jawbones shall be strengthened. And I will make them into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth, and they shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, and make the hills like chaff!"

I see God releasing a "jawbone anointing" to destroy the enemies who come against them in the seasons ahead. Their words will carry the weight of His glory upon them – a weight that will become like a mighty wrecking ball to demolish and destroy the strongholds of darkness in this land.

I hear these words: "On the hill of the jawbone, I will show myself as the Mighty Breaker, as the Mighty Redeemer and Restorer – the Lifter of men who have become weary in battle. And out of the hollow of the jawbone, streams of living water shall burst forth to refresh and revive the thirsty!

"I say, open your mouth wide, and I will fill it! I say, taste and see that I AM good! I say, a new and fresh jawbone anointing shall come upon My weary warriors in this hour, and with My Word in their mouths, they shall destroy their enemies!"
