Hi,
You likely know that Jesus said He was the Light of the world. But He makes a promise to you after making this claim... that you will not walk in darkness but have the light of life (John 8:12).
Jesus claimed to be "the" light, not merely "a" light. This means He is the single source of light. And the promise He makes to you is that even if you stumble into darkness at various points in your life, you will never walk fully in darkness. Never again will you be completely blind to see what God is doing in the world today.
