Right now, the land of Israel is recovering from a point of COMPLETE DESOLATION. Nearly every tree was cut down, burned, or destroyed.
For centuries most of Israel was essentially a desert wasteland with few pockets of vegetation. Wars and various regimes decimated Israel’s forests. This had several unforeseen consequences:
Soil erosion went unchecked, destroying farmland. The balance between wind, evaporation, and weather was affected, altering the land’s microclimates. The land became drier, hotter, dustier, and less habitable. The Scriptures warned us this would happen, but they also foretold of something else that would come. A day when the desert would “rejoice and blossom.”
Today we have the opportunity to bless the LAND and PEOPLE of Israel—helping to restore life to the countryside by planting trees.
We are not just adding greenery, we are undoing the damage caused to the Promised Land. We are restoring the soil, the ability to farm, and even weather patterns.
