The World and the Church
As I began to seek the Lord for what He had in His heart for 2019, I got caught up in this vision. I saw the world – or the people of the world – looking at the Church with great hope. I realized how desperate people were. Even when they seem angry, the people of the world are so longing for love and identity and so hoping we are right in what we preach about God.
There is a Scripture in the Message Translation of the Bible from Ephesians 1:23, "The Church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the Church." WE are not on the outside of this world, noticing the darkness and what is wrong in the world but we, the Body of Christ, are insiders at the very center, like the heart inviting everyone to come in and join us. We must be inclusive.
In Colossians 1:16-17, The Passion Translation, it says, "For through the Son everything was created, both in the heavenly realm and on the earth, all that is seen and all that is unseen. Every seat of power, realm of government, principality, and authority – it was all created through Him and for His purpose! He existed before anything was made, and now everything finds completion in Him." If the world sees us a beacons of hope, then we, the Body, must see Christ. We Must See what He has done – His finished work and the redemption by His Blood, the power of the Holy Spirit in us, and we must focus on Christ.
I believe as 2019 continues, more Christians will have encounters with Jesus than any recent or previous years. Jesus Christ will be seen. He will walk into our homes and walk into our churches and prayer groups – wherever we gather He will be there in our midst. Our focus must be Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will declare to us all that is to come, all that is in the future in light of the finished work of Jesus.
A Time of Unprecedented Praise and Worship
This new year will be filled with praise and worship of God. I tell you that even the rocks will cry out. Heaven will join Earth in praising and worshiping our God. Atmospheres of nations will change as the praises go forth. New songs will be composed from the very realms of the heavens and bring healing to people of every tribe, and nation. The awakening we long to see, will also be ushered in by our praise. Praise changes things.
2019 will also be the year of the witnesses. We will witness many things that we have never seen before. A change in the guard in Church leadership will be felt worldwide. Some ministry leaders will be promoted to Heaven for their years of faithful service, but what is unique is that we will see new leadership rise up, not necessarily the norm.
These men and women will not be afraid to demonstrate the supernatural Kingdom of God in power and love. 2019 God will settle the score. Things that have stayed unresolved for days or even years will come into alignment as justice prevails. 2019 is a year of preparation; clearing the path. The next decade from 2020-2030 will usher in one of the most creative times ever noted in history. We will see unprecedented breakthroughs even in space. Television will give way to something much more hands-on than just watching. 2019 will then be a year that prepares the way.
America at Its Best, Eureka and the Bread Basket
I heard a voice in the spirit say, "All roads lead to Tennessee." It seems that many people will be moving to this state on assignment by God. I looked up the slogan for the state of Tennessee and it is, "America at its Best."
Since 2019 is a year of praise and worship, I felt that in this state, especially in the Nashville region, the praise and worship of God would break open in many of the concerts held. Worship and the presence of God would be felt. The sound that will come will be like a burning fire offering that touches Heaven. Intercession for our nation as well as God's tangible presence will be felt. Many will come to hear and many new opportunities will come to the state.
California was also shown to me. I remember from studying about the Gold Rush days in California that when the miners found gold, they would say, "Eureka!" This word means, "I found it." California will come to find what is most valuable. Jeremiah 15:19 (AMPC) says, "Therefore says the Lord [to Jeremiah]: if you return [and give up this mistaken tone of distrust and despair], then I will give you again a settled place of quiet and safety, and you will be My minister; and if your separate the precious from the vile [cleansing your own heart from unworthy suspicions concerning God's faithfulness], you shall be My mouthpiece..." God will cause California to be His mouthpiece. The Word of the Lord will come from California and go across our whole nation.
Also, the Lord put the American farmers on my heart; middle America, the "Bread Basket" of our nation. We must pray and intercede to avert a crisis there. Pray that God will supernaturally multiple the crops and bless the wheat and corn.
Closing with this Scripture from The Passion Translation of Ephesians 1:3, I want to say, "Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because He sees us wrapped in Christ. This is why we celebrate Him with all our hearts." (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
