Kyle T. Miller: "God is Removing Your Obstacles! Push Open That Door!"

The Lord shared with me that 2019 will be the year where He removes obstacles in our lives. Those things that have been opposing and oppressing us will be immediately dealt with and moved out of the way. The Scripture that God gave me to support this prophetic word is 1 Corinthians 9:9-11:

"For it is written in the Law of Moses: 'Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.' Is it about oxen that God is concerned? Surely He says this for us, doesn't He? Yes, this was written for us, because whoever plows and threshes should be able to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest. If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?"

While speaking to the church of Corinth, Apostle Paul reflects on a word that was spoken to Moses by the Lord in the Old Testament. When this Scripture admonishes someone not to muzzle an ox while it's treading out the grain, what God is really saying is this: Absolutely nothing should be done to impair an ox from working when it's operating at its optimal level. The ox is one animal used in Scripture to describe a woman or man who is diligent and tenacious in getting God's work done.

Therefore, God is saying to us that as we've cross into this new year of 2019, just like the ox, there will be no evil force that can muzzle or impair us from moving forward when we are advancing in His purposes. Furthermore, God is going to enable us to advance at optimum levels. The Lord is recognizing our hard labor from the last season and He is promising us that our tenacity and diligence will be rewarded in this season.

Whoever Plows Must Also Reap

Many of you reading this article have remained steadfast and dedicated to His call for your life, even though it has seemed as though you have been reaping little fruit. This is why the Lord says in 1 Corinthians 9:10 that whoever plows and threshes should also reap. When this Scripture references plowing and threshing, it is referring to the portion prior to enjoying the benefits of harvesting. This is when you have to do the hard, boring and tedious work right before you experience breakthrough. However, the ox continues to do this hard work with the earnest expectation that when it's complete, it will reap the rewards of harvest.

I hear the Lord saying this to you: "You have been working very hard doing things that have been hard, tedious, and sometimes very unenjoyable. Yet, I say to you this day that you are about to reap the blessings that come with being faithful to My call. I will not allow your work to be muzzled and shut down without blessing you. You will reap the rewards of your labor as I remove your obstacles from out of your pathway."

Although the Door May Be Closed, It is Not Locked

While in church service the last Sunday of 2018, my pastor asked me to share with the congregation about what I heard our Lord saying concerning 2019. As I began to share this word that I'm sharing with you, I had a very strong prophetic vision. In the vision, I was standing in a hallway and I was about to go down what was a new walkway. I was very excited about the opportunity of walking down this new path. However, as soon as I began to continue my walk, I noticed this big, beautiful, solid, gold door. I couldn't help but admire how beautiful the door was, yet I became very disappointed because I realized the door was closed.

I looked at the door and also noticed that there was no doorknob and it appeared to be very heavy, like a vault door. I then heard the Holy Spirit say, "Put your hand on the door." So I pressed my palms on the door and it immediately flung open. I was amazed that it was not as heavy as it looked. I was also surprised that although the door was closed, it was not locked.

The prophetic vision came with a very clear message: In 2019 we may face what appears to be doors that are closed. But, even though these doors may appear to be closed, God is saying that they are not locked. Furthermore, with just a little effort, these doors are going to fling wide open.

What does this mean in practical terms? As you endeavor to move forward in God's purpose for your life this year, God wants you to understand that He is going to contend with anything that tries to oppose you, and if that opposition refuses to move out of the way for you, God will supernaturally move it out of your way.

God's Word + Our Obedience = Wide Open Doors

The following testimony is an example of how one of my prophetic partners experienced this in her own life:

Recently, one of my prophetic partners who I will call "Jane" was having an issue at her job. Jane is the manager of a property and it was revealed by the Holy Spirit that her assistant was trying to set her up by telling lies to Jane's general manager. The Holy Spirit told me to tell Jane that she was to speak to her assistant who was trying to sabotage her relationship with the general manager. I shared with Jane, prophetically, that God wanted her to tell her assistant that she knew she was trying to get her fired. God then went on to say that once Jane told her assistant this, in embarrassment her assistant would quit.

Because Jane has a non-confrontational personality, she did not want to share this word with her assistant. As a matter of fact, Jane asked me to ask God if she could just leave it alone and let God handle it for her, but the Lord said, "No!" Just like in the vision when God required me to push the door open, Jane had to apply a little effort to her situation, however, once she did, she would immediately move past it.

So in agreement to the prophetic word, Jane went and told her assistant what the Lord said. Within two weeks, the employee turned in her resignation and quit. Immediately after this situation, Jane was offered another job making around $20,000 more than what she is making now. Just by applying a little effort in obedience to the Lord, a door that appeared as though it was closing, flung wide open for Jane!

A Prayer to Remove Obstacles

If you are in agreement with the word that God is removing your obstacles in 2019, please pray this prayer after me:

Dear Heavenly Father, You said in Your Word that if I believe in the Word of the Lord, I will prosper. I believe that in 2019, You are removing every obstacle in my life. And although it may appear as I move in Your Word that there are doors which seem to be closed, I realize that these doors are not locked, but merely opportunities for You to prove who You are in my life.
