Charles Phillips: "A New Era - Make Room for What's Coming!"

We are coming up to the precipice of a major shift. It's not a new season; it's a new era. This year will be full of huge things. There will be things that you have dreaded which will come to a close this year and this will bring you happiness. There have been things that you've been waiting on which will manifest this year. There have been things that have been taken from you and you have wondered when they are going to be returned—this is the year. I also believe this is going to be the best year of your life yet.

Make Room

The Shunammite woman had to make room on her house for the next era to manifest (2 Kings 4). There was more to it than just throwing up some sticks, moving furniture and extending an invite. This "New Era" had to be mapped out and leveled. It had to be purposeful—not just bringing the promise of God in and stuffing Him into a corner. The word "accommodate" means more than just cramming something else into your life. It means rearranging, adjusting, and making large room for something major to come in that will grow and flourish in the place that you made for it. Make room this year for what God has purposed for you and His Kingdom.

No Room in the Inn

We are in a time when many literally have "no room" for the new that's coming. Just like every generation in times past, we have filled our hearts with so much that cannot bring the transformation we are desperately seeking. When the angel spoke to Zachariah he had to make room in his life for that prophetic word. He had to make room for John and for Jesus. When the angel spoke to Joseph he had to make room. It cost him inconvenience in having to leave his home and go into Egypt to accommodate and make room for what was coming. He had to deal with his personal feelings and he had to protect what was coming and who it was coming through. He saw God's plan and helped steward it into the earth.

When the angel spoke to Mary, he told her to make room to conceive a child. She had to get past her personal feelings, fear and the skepticism of her peers. She was very inconvenienced (in the flesh) by the process of making room for something that would transform not only her life, but the lives of everyone around her.

We are on the precipice of a major shift that will transform everything around us. We must make room. We must accommodate, be inconvenienced, protect, steward and deal with ourselves to bring in the best new era. It's time to make room for what's coming.

The Mind of the Spirit

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:16, "For, 'Who can know the Lord's thoughts? Who knows enough to teach Him?' But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ." As we are headed into this new era, we must first understand that this is a spiritual shift that will manifest in the earth realm as we steward it in. It is important to not allow the enemy's plans to manifest in this new era, and this can only be done in the heavenlies. This is a spiritual shift that has originated from the Spirit in the heavenlies and must manifest in the spirit of man in order to come into the flesh or into the earth realm.

The Spirit spoke to me and said: "We are not a Body with a Spirit, we are a Spirit with a Body!" This is very important as we turn our perception to be able to engage, manifest and fulfill our Kingdom assignments. This is going to be a new era of supernatural/spiritual encounters and breakthroughs. This new time will push the bounds of human thinking and will cause many to seek a greater awakening to the SUPER-natural! We must be ready to show them the King of Glory!

From Spirit to Flesh

One of the greatest moves of Heaven was to get Jesus here in the flesh. John tells us that "...the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us..." (John 1:14). To move in this new era we must be aligned properly with the "mind of the Spirit" and allow Him to manifest His thoughts in our flesh.

"Speaking of Jesus, He said, "...a body You have made for Me" (Hebrews 10:5b). As we enter this new time it is vital that we bring the Word to flesh. This will be a time when the invisible becomes visible to those who could not see into the SUPER-natural realms of Heaven before. Their access is coming from those who have gone beyond the veil and into the holy place of God and are manifesting Him into the earth. Look at this; Jesus was the "...image of the invisible God" (Colossians 1:15) and a body made Him visible!

It was through the body that the Spirit was able to manifest the dominion of Heaven—in first His body and then into the earth around Him. It is time to get this right. We are Spirit with a Body not a Body with a Spirit. This is important because we can mimic the prophetic like Eli's sons, who brought the ark out to battle and rang the earth with their shouts (1 Samuel 4:5) but had no dominion or transformational power. Or, we can be like Joshua at Jericho where he prepared the people and had them spiritually positioned as they shouted "...with a great shout..." (Joshua 6:20) that rang both Heaven and the earth, causing Heaven to manifest in the earth realm. Be ready to shout with God in this new era! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Charles Phillips grew up in a Christian home where both his parents ministered and pastored. It was at the end of his High School years when he, for the first time, encountered the Lord for himself and heard His voice.
