Ruth Hendrickson: "God is Uncapping the Wells of Abundant Provision – It's Time to Drink!"

I hear the Lord saying, "Pay attention to the wells for it is time for the cover to be removed." As I continued to listen, the Lord impressed on me that many people have been gathering around the well, waiting for the cover to be removed. Immediately I was taken to Genesis 29:2. From there, the Lord revealed to me that there are three groups of people.

"He [Jacob] saw a well in the distance. Three flocks of sheep and goats lay in an open field beside it, waiting to be watered. But a heavy stone covered the mouth of the well." (Genesis 29:2 emphasis mine)

Three Groups of People

Group 1: You have been sitting around the well, waiting. In the book of Genesis, they gathered and waited until everyone was there before removing the stone. You have basically been waiting for some "missing pieces" to come into alignment so the well can be uncapped.

I hear the Lord saying, "Look and see in the spiritual realm. I see things from a different perspective. Uncap the well, stop waiting; taste and see that I AM good (Psalm 34:8). As you see and take the ground in the spiritual realm, you will see victory manifest in the physical realm. Do not hold back, do not hesitate. It is a season for wells to be open."

Group 2: You have been unsure about coming close and have been staying on the outskirts. You believe the well is more of a mirage than an actual well. Discouragement and disbelief have invaded your ranks yet there is a glimmer of hope. Hence, you have not left, but you stay around the edges battling the hopelessness and despair. You are watching and waiting, yet not joining in.

Proverbs 4:23 (TPT) states, "So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life."

I hear the Lord saying, "Put on your running shoes and run for the well and do not hold back. Allow your heart to dream again. It just takes a 'word' to restore hope. I AM the Word. Adjust your focus, gaze on Me and not your circumstances. I AM here and the well is Mine. It is real, it is not a mirage. Come, taste, and see!"

Group 3: You have turned your back on the well and gone to look for water in other places. The wait became too long and you became too weary. As the Lord met the woman at the well, or as the father met the prodigal son, the Lord is saying, "I am standing with open arms and full provision. There is room at the well, and you are invited to drink deeply. And, as you drink from My well, you will see life come forth in abundance. Come back."

A Land of Abundant Provision

The Lord impressed on me that He is uncovering "wells" (plural) not just a well. There is no desert in the Kingdom of God. As He explained to the Samaritan woman, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask Me, and I would give you living water" (John 4:10 NLT). God is uncapping the wells of living water. The wasteland is becoming a land of abundant provision.

At the same time, I see people wondering how they will access the water. As I visualize wells, I immediately think of needing a bucket to draw out the water. However, the Lord is stating that these are wells that spring up from the ground. An artesian well flows from natural pressure without pumping. The pressure has been building and is so great that the water pushes up all the way to the top. The invitation is there, "Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink..." (Isaiah 55:1 NLT).

Time to Drink!

"Drink deeply of the pleasures of this God. Experience for yourself the joyous mercies He gives to all who turn to hide themselves in Him." Psalm 34:8 (TPT)
