God is speaking in many different ways...He even speaks to us through nature and the elements. The question is: Are we listening?

Vision of a Praying Mantis and How it Relates to Seers
I woke up out of a dream the other morning and had a vision of a praying mantis. When I saw this vision, I was struck by the unusual nature of seeing a praying mantis as a source of revelation in my dreams and visions. When I pondered on what the Holy Spirit was bringing to the forefront of my attention, I immediately felt prompted to pray. It was then that I was led to the Scripture verse in Job 12:7-8, which provided confirmation to what I believe the Holy Spirit is revealing at this time.
"But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you; and the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you. Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you; and let the fish of the sea declare to you." (Job 12:7-8)
As I did some research about the praying mantis, I was surprised to find that this particular insect is symbolic for a prophet, or a praying prophet. It's also a sign of stillness or reflection because of the posture it holds as one being positioned in prayer. In prophetic terms, I've learned that a praying mantis can also be seen as a seer or one who foretells the future.
The most interesting data I found on the praying mantis was its identifying mark as being a warrior insect. This unusual looking insect is known as a skilled hunter who uses strategic movements to capture its prey. While appearing to be a harmless creature with its front legs postured in a stance of prayer, the strategy of a praying mantis is to capture its prospect through a stealthy and victorious takeover.
When a praying mantis is keen on its surroundings and perceives its adversary through its oversized eyes (supernatural vision), nothing escapes its grasp or goes undetected in its surroundings. The strength of the praying mantis comes through its covert operation of being confident of who he is and the skills he's been given to occupy his territory. A stance of uninterrupted and focused prayer is his weapon of warfare to overcoming all opposition.
"Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:8 NASB)
Deeper Call to Prayer and Intercession
As I prayed about what the Father is revealing to us at this hour, a deeper call to prayer and intercession was quickened in my spirit. I also saw a new breed of seers and prophetic warriors moving into position as key weapons to overthrowing the works of darkness across the land. These special, spiritual agents are highly discerned to their surroundings and move with acute prophetic vision and accurate prophetic prayer.
The Spirit of the Lord has equipped these ones for such a time as this to plunder the camp of the enemy and reel in the end-time spoils of war. The strategy of these seers and prophetic warriors are like that of David when he went to the frontlines of battle to pull down the stronghold of Goliath. I also saw that where there's been a breach in the prayer movement through distraction and interrupted focus, the Spirit of the Lord is opening up new portals of prayer through the help of angelic assistance.
Just like the angel Gabriel was dispatched at the sound of Daniel's prayers, a new proclamation has been made opening the gates to spiritual and physical breakthrough (see Daniel 9). The eye salve of God is touching the eyes of the seers and prophetic warriors at this hour (see Revelation 3:18). The prayers of the saints are tipping the bowls of intercession and shifting the earth realm for a great move of God to occur!
"Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel's hand." (Revelation 8:3-4)
A New Decade of Prayer
In the Hebrew alphabet the 17th letter 'Pey' represents the number 80. The number 17 means 'victory' and the spiritual number 80 means 'prayer'. This same word for prayer is linked to Revelation 8:3-4, which reminds us that prophetically we are on the cusp of entering a new decade (5779/5780), where the prayers of the saints are a key factor for God opening the way for the Kingdom to manifest on the earth.
The testimony of the saints of God through conflict and distress is the open door for those coming out of darkness and into the glorious light of a new season of birthing and revival. The power of prayer is shaking the works of darkness even now and is positioning the Church for a massive takeover for the Kingdom of God throughout the earth realm. Our prayers move the heart of God and activate angelic assistance. Our intercession shifts the spiritual realm and ushers us into breakthrough. (Photo via Unsplash)
Prophets and seers are mighty intercessors who know how to navigate the spiritual realm with power and authority. What a prophet sees and hears while in the counsel of the Lord causes a paradigm shift to usher in movement and momentum. Elijah was a praying prophet who shifted atmospheres and called down fire from Heaven (James 5:17, 1 Kings 18). What Elijah saw in the realm of the spirit activated the earth realm to comply with his vision.
Nothing escapes a praying prophet's spirit when their heart is for obedience and they are pure in their motives. Prayer is the magnum opus for a prophet. Victories are won through prayer. Revelation is received through prayer! God is assigning new mantles at this hour to awaken a new breed of seers and prophetic intercessors.
The Spirit of the Lord is moving through a new movement of prophetic prayer to shift spiritual climates and usher in reformation in the Church and across the land. The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit are being activated afresh to prepare the Bride of Christ for a greater outpouring of the Spirit. Get ready for everything the Spirit of the Lord has in store!
