War. Loss. Hunger.
For many of the remaining survivors of the Holocaust, these experiences were seared into their memories as they lived through the horrors of this great evil, while many of their family and friends perished.
Against all odds they survived and many fulfilled the dream of returning to "Eretz Yisrael" to live in the land of their forefathers.
Yet today these precious souls who have suffered so much are again facing loss and hunger.
Israel is home to the largest number of Holocaust survivors in the world. Tragically, however, approximately 50,000 of these survivors live below the poverty line.
Eagles' Wings, through our Abraham's Bread Feeding Centers in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, is reaching out to extend the love of the God to them by providing hot meals served with love and care.
With the median age of Israeli Holocaust survivors at 82, there is a pressing urgency to ensure that their last years are lived with a respectable quality of life.
