How many of you can use more JOY in your circumstances of life? God is truly doing an inner-work in us and He uses many things to strengthen us and set His people free...including releasing His joy in our midst.

A Message to All My Children in This Hour: "Receive My Joy"

"The Joy of the Lord is My Strength..." Sometimes, it was embarrassing when the Lord made us sing the little song He gave us. For a year we felt lead to sing it every day, even in front of strangers. Singing is not a particular gift of ours. The Lord wanted to get this song deep down in us. It became our battle cry. We sang, "The Joy of the Lord is My Strength" with expanded lyrics, which fit our particular circumstances.
Imagine two frumpy elders accosting you with a song that says, "The joy of trusting in the Lord is my strength. When I trust in the Lord He will fight for me. When I trust in the Lord I have no rights. When I trust in the Lord I have peace and joy. Oh the joy of trusting in the Lord is my strength." Joy is one of our most powerful spiritual strategies.
The Lord told us:
"Wouldn't it be beautiful to see large numbers of Christians swaying together to the same score? Not mimicking each other, but everyone using their gifts for a common purpose." |
"Your joy is your greatest weapon. People will want it if the look on your face, and the way you act and speak, reflects My Son. Then, it won't matter that they don't know how to get it, because it will be your pleasure to show them.
"Many of My children need to change their thinking. You concentrate on presenting the right technique to get the lost into My Kingdom, and neglect to give them the incentive to want it. The lost can interpret My children as offering them only rules, self-righteousness, joyless obedience, hypocrisy, isolation and a negative existence. If I talked personally to those same lost people, what do you think I would offer them?
"You know I want everyone to come into My sheepfold. You must learn to call them with My voice. If you call them with the world's voice, then you compete with the rest of the world. My voice is sweet and lovely, and it overcomes the voices of the world. This is how they can find abundant life."
Give Yourself "Joy Checks"
The Lord has had us conduct periodic "joy checks" to remind us of all we have to be grateful for. He told us:
"Joy does not come from people or circumstances. It is the end product of trusting Me. If you keep your eyes on Me, you won't notice when others do it wrong. You won't experience jealousy or be tempted to judge.
"To have joy in these times cannot be explained rationally. The intellectual person, who must know the reason for everything, has to find out why you have joy. When he formulates his question, you may give him the answer which he otherwise might never have considered. Your joy is your witness. (Photo via Public Domain Pictures)
"Everyone has a special ministry for which he has been created. So why would you doubt that I will help you accomplish what I made you for? Heaven and Earth are waiting for your ministry. Angels are tuning their ears to hear you glorify Me. People are dying to hear you praise Me."
A Very Strong Anchor
When the world around us is unstable and unsafe, the Sovereign Lord of all offers this encouragement:
"Joy is a very strong anchor. It holds through storms and floods. It steadies you when the enemy causes fear to upset your boat. If you have joy, fears lose their power. Your mind doesn't see negative consequences; instead it sees all things working together for good. Joy produces peace and stability.
"Where do you get joy? It's not for sale, it's a gift. Ask for it. Think of it as a remedy. If you needed medicine and couldn't afford it, wouldn't you ask Me for the money? Then ask Me for joy. Pray with anticipation and begin acting up to the level of what you've asked for. Behave in response to the answer to your prayer before you receive it, and it will come faster."
Joy Changes Everything
Joy is our gateway to the new season. The Lord told us:
"My voice is sweet and lovely, and it overcomes the voices of the world. This is how they can find abundant life." |
"Pray for your joy first. Joy changes your vision. Joy gives you eyes to see what I AM doing and not just what I did or what you did. Joy is your introduction to the new. Joy lifts the weight of the old. Joy is the pleasure of My company. Joy is your initiation into what I AM doing called a 'new thing.'
"Joy leaves burdens behind. Joy frees you from unnecessary weights and requirements. Joy is when you are so aware of Me that daily cares don't matter as much anymore. Then you will know that I meet every need, that I AM faithful to My Word, that I have your best interest at heart, that I love you more than you can ever imagine.
"When you rest in these things, you will have joy. That is what Jesus meant when He said, 'My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.' Joy is not happiness, it is not temporary contentment, it is lasting trust.
"When you have joy, the things that are so necessary to the world become minor details in your life. And the things that are most important to you are those of the Kingdom.
"There is joy in knowing that I AM more than able to provide everything you need in abundance and even in excess. I do that because you have focused your attention on Me. That is seeking first the Kingdom of God. That is when all your needs are added to you. That is when you are so swept up in My love that your love becomes stronger."
Joy Notes
"These things are all joy notes. They form a symphony when My people do them together. Wouldn't it be beautiful to see large numbers of Christians swaying together to the same score? Not mimicking each other, but everyone using their gifts for a common purpose. Wouldn't it be a wonderful symphony to play, so the world will see how true love and cooperation and godly goals produce increase for everyone involved? (Photo via Pixabay)
"When you have joy, you never worry whether there is enough for you. You invite Me to reveal Myself because I have a place in your heart to speak from and not just to live in. You find that your words change. Your outlook changes. Your daily interaction with people becomes different when you have joy.
"These things are part of the season I AM bringing upon the earth, and My people are going to lead in it. But I have to discipline them away from the old cares and into the new joy. Won't it be wonderful when you see this actually take place before your eyes? You will know that I AM really in your midst, moving through you to reach the people in the world who are hurt, who are lost, who are ignorant and who are sick. All the afflictions of the world cannot overcome joy.
"Pray for your joy. Open your heart to be joyful. Have true joy, not just happiness of the moment. True joy will take over your life. This is My message for all of My children, and this is the hour when I AM appealing to you: Receive My joy." (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
